We loved our stay at the Zimmerhof hotel. The room was quite spacious and nicely appointed. We requested an early check-in as we reached Lier early; the reception kindly accommodated our request. The room was super clean and had all amenities we needed. The heating worked great during the coldest days of the year! The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was quite spacious too. The staff at the reception were extremely helpful in recommending food places nearby and in allowing us to get a piece of wrapping paper for something we had to carry. The breakfast was decent too, quite comfortable hours and a fair spread of items. The location can't be any better -- you will be 2 minutes from the Grote Markt and right across the Zimmerplein. There are plenty of good restaurants around the hotel, and the weekend markets are right in front of the property. Overall, a wonderful stay in Lier.

If we were nitpicking, we might have liked a slightly thicker duvet on the bed. Even better would have been two duvets, if possible. However, we never asked for this as the heating of the room was really comfortable.

Breakfast was basic but adequate. The location was great, right in the middle of town, although that gave a small problem with parking especially as the fair was in town so it was busy. There is direct access to the rooms so no need to go through the hotel reception to get to bed.

The bar & breakfast area weren't the most exciting however there is a fantastic bar right across the street and we spent a fair bit of time in there.

Super friendly staff always ready to assist and help out. Meeting room was was very nice and original. Rooms are spacious. Bed and bathroom are excellent. Location is ideal at the heart of the historical center of Lier.

It's an old building and the floor made squeaky noise when walking on it. The room did not have airco and opening the window let too much noise in (it's in the city center). Coffee machine in the business center would be a nice to have

Central location - all sights within walking distance and bars and restaurants nearby. Located in a historic building. Well-equipped room and bathroom Good buffet breakfast included.

The hotel's clientele seemed to be primarily business, predominantly small groups who spent much of the time smoking outside the breakfast area and in the courtyard outside the ground-floor rooms, which detracted from the peaceful ambiance.

To be honest, this was my best hotel experience in the last 10 years. Location can not be better, set in the old town, very close to restaurants, pubs and touristic attractions, but still very tranquil. We had a nice view of the garden. Room was super comfortable, with a bathtub, bathrobes, sleepers... Breakfast was spectacular, with longer hours during the weekend stay as well as with later check out. Staff was very kind and professional.

Only to mention if you travel with a large suitcase it might be tricky to reach the room on the upper floor. Stairway is steep and narrow, but I am sure you can get a hand from the hotel staff :)

was just a flying visit, but the location was perfect, lots of restaurants and pubs to go go to. Couldn't really stay for breakfast as had a train to catch in Calais so we took some food away. Will definitely be returning.

Staff are very helpful and friendly. Downstairs bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable.

If you are unlucky to have a noisy neighbour upstairs you can hear everything downstairs.

It was excellent and there was a huge choice fresh juice was at our disposal The coffee was not the best we ever had, but it was OK All in all a very nice and tasty beginning of the day

Great location and really nice breakfast

Once again we chose the street level room which once again smelled moldy although very clean. We would recommend that the hotel find a way to better ventilate the rooms. We would have taken an upstairs room but the stairs are quite steep, even the “normal stairs”.

I love almost everything of this hotel. The location, the staffs, the room, the building itself, all!

Nothing. But maybe you can serve more variety at the breakfast. It was too simple for such a beautiful hotel
