The hotel is situated near the start of Leme beach which gradually turns into Copacabana beach. We found the area to be clean and felt very safe walking around all day. Easy pickup area for tours as well. The hotel itself was nice, clean and their included breakfast buffet had a great variety. We loved the rooftop bar and found ourselves there every night for a nightcap. On our last night we had dinner at their restaurant, Otaviano. We both ordered a salad but easily could have split one. Super fresh…. Just perfect! For dinner, hubby had pork rib paella for 1 and I had the chicken…. Both were amazing and had very generous portions. Nice wine selection as well. Our server was Clayton and he was ‘fine dining’ attentive. If we were to return we’d definitely stay at Arena again!

Location was great, breakfast was good, receptionists spoke English and were very helpful. The room was cozy and clean, we were able to get our room changed from a back street view to the sea view which was very nice.

The bathrooms need work because there’s mildew and unpleasant smells (I got to see the bathrooms of 3 different rooms,same issue). I was shocked that there was not 1 iron in the entire hotel, nor a steamer! Rooftop has a very nice view but the pool/pond is as small as a sink so we did not care to bathe. 'Gym' extremely small but appreciated

The location and direct ocean view. Our cleaning woman Claudia was excellent. She was kind and welcoming. The room was very clean. Igor at the reception was helpful when we arrived. He always smiled and greeted us. Arqemedes, Joao de Paulo were such friendly breakfast employees. They welcomed us every morning. And Geraldo our dinner waiter was great.

The pool looked dirty, so we never used it. The gym had very little equipment and was too small for more than 2 people at a time. Not all reception employees were helpful or knowledgeable. We could not open room windows because the floor would get very wet, without the air conditioning on. We checked-out one day early and we were not offered a one-day credit for our next visit. We were told we could not receive a monetary credit either.

The property it’s absolutely amazing. I had the amazing room with a beautiful view of the ocean and the waves.

And the property is big. The elevators are functional around the property. It’s so much to see and feel. I am a native from Rio De Janeiro born and raised and to stay in this. Location brings me a wonderful memories and this hotel make everything better.

Great location and breakfast. Hotel staff were excellent. Takes a little time to get to heart of the city, but Uber is inexpensive and easy, taxis across the street. Property faces the beach, so continuous entertainment walking along Copacabana. Housekeeping service was outstanding. Room very comfortable…great beds. Rooftop pool and bar were a big hit with us. Will book this property again on our next trip.

Room was a bit smallish, but of no consequence. Trivial matter: would have been nice to have facial tissue, but that doesn’t seem to be consideration in southern South America except at 5-star properties.

Room was lovely with a nice sea view. I loved the comfy bed and pillows. Happy to have a full length mirror and good air conditioning. The staff were always very courteous and helpful and let me know the breakfast times in advance and the breakfast provisions were more than adequate. The coffee was very good and it was nice to have the hot milk as well. There was no faults that I could notice and I enjoyed my stay here.

I enjoyed my stay here and could not find any faults in the hotel whatsoever. I am very happy with the service.

We had a nice room with excellent view over Copacabana - and the room was well maintained every day. On the top of the hotell it was a nice place to have even better view or just relax at the table, sunchairs or in the pool - and we could order food and drinks from the roof-bar. The breakfast was good and excellent service by all the staff. We have to mention two of the waiters we learned to know: Joao de Paulo and Arquimedes. They gave excellent service and had a friendly behavior with a serviceminded attitude. The staff at the reception and concierge service gave good service and had a friendly attitude.

Nothing to complain

We had initially booked a room without a view, but when we arrived for checkin, we realised that having a view of Leme beach and the Copacabana strip was important for us to wake up to every morning, especially because we stayed 6 nights. We certainly made the right decision upgrading. The room was spacious, clean and modern. The aircon worked really well and the shower water pressure was excellent. The breakfast buffet every morning was tasty and full of variety which we really appreciated over the 6 days. The rooftop bar and food is also very good.

Some of the reception staff were not very friendly and made it seem as if helping us was a chore. But the waiters, kitchen and cleaning staff were very friendly.

Nice hotel with good breakfast. Located right on the beach, easy to cross the road. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the main part of copacabana, but it only takes 10 min more to walk. There is still several good restaurants nearby. The hotel offers daytours which were a lot cheaper than what we found online and that were very good, so recommend to go with this.

The pool area is a little old and could do with an upgrade to not only be more modern but also look cleaner.

Seafront location in the quieter end of the beach. It’s worth it to pay a little more for a room with sea view. Everything was clean and correct and security is quite good. You can’t use the lift without a room key and you can only press the button for your own floor or the rooftop terrace. Breakfast buffet is excellent.

Everything was great. Room 704 had a bit of a leak at the base of the shower. We forgot to point that out before checking out.
