The best part of breakfast was the location - the terrace overlooking All Saints Bay and the Lower City. The food was reasonable, consisted of an array of cold cuts, cheeses, cakes and breads. Hot items included eggs and boiled plantains. There was also yogurt, jams/jellies, coffee and tea..

I stayed six nights, so more variety in the breakfast would have been nice..

The location is perfect in the historical center of Salvador on a beautiful street with a vibrant nightlife. The hotel rooms have the historic ambience with high ceilings and and a beautiful wooden floor. From the terrace of the rooms on the back you have an amazing view of the bay!

The rooms weren’t cleaned during the four days we stayed there. There was a lot of dust in the corners and dead cockroaches underneath the bed. Some lamps didn’t work, the toilet seat was broken and most of the doors didn’t close properly. No cups in the bathroom. The breakfast was ok, but a little more variety would have been great. Overall, no value for the money, seems they are living off the great location.

The location is perfect, nice street and safe area full of restaurants and bar

July was the only one very friendly and helpful person among the staff. Staff from reception and bar are not very friendly, specially the ladys from the breakfast - they are totally rude and not answering to your questions (I am a portuguese speaker!). Breakfast very basic without not so many options.

WARNING! FOREIGNERS DO NOT STAY HERE. UNSAFE and UNCOMFORTABLE. I am an American/New Zealand citizen, paying customer, and they treated me with disrespect and constant suspicion. THEY DID NOT TREAT WHITE GUESTS THEY SAME WAY THEY TREATED ME - I AM BROWN - NORTH AFRICAN. You have to leave your key when you leave the hotel - UNSAFE - when I got back - one of their housekeepers had the key - not the reception - which made me feel unsafe. The day I checked out, I went to get coffee close by - it was 10:30 and the lady chased me down to see if i was checking out. I told her i would be back in 10 minutes and its states checkout is 12 pm. The service police the hotel like you are a criminal staying there. DO NOT STAY HERE. I have stayed many years in the Santo Antonio neighborhood, staying at many hotels on the same street, it was my mistake to try this one bc they treat you like a suspect when I paid money to stay here. Stay at another hotel that respects it guests, not treats them very uncomfortably. Terrible and suspecting service.

Dreadful, the place was dirty and the staff were only interested in our money

It was dirty, the breakfast needed to covered, and the need to look under their beds as it was disgusting
