The biggest advantage of Tamboleiro's Hotel Residence is its location, it is ideally located between Santo Antonio and Pelourinho in a very cute and safe street. We were close to all the restaurants and sites we wanted to see. Another thing we liked was the contact with the owners of the hotel. Despite the language barrier, they were very nice and helpful. They also recommended many places. Last, we found the apartment very big: it has a room, a bathroom, an entrance/living room and a kitchen. It was far better than our expectations :) If you plan on cooking, the kitchen is quite large and furnished. I would say it is a perfect place to stay 2-3 days to visit Salvador, especially as a couple.

Not a lot, but if we were to be picky, I would name the following: - The bed wasn't the most comfortable - The bathroom towels could be renewed - The street is quite noisy so it can wake you up in the morning if you are a light sleeper - We didn't mind, but note that there are a few stairs to reach the apartment

Location is bordering old town & plenty of interesting alleys to explore Unit itself is on 2nd floor, so be prepared for stairs. The guy who checked us in was very helpful & carried our luggage to the apartment

Very very noisy as there's music/bands playing left/right every night when we're there. Didn't bother us too much but if you need quiet place to sleep, it is something to consider

It is in the old city center . The host very helpful. We came at the midnight, it was no problem. He helped us with taxi when we were leaving at 3 am.

The centre is noisy, it is not the property mistake.

Super comfortable and well equipped apartment in the heart of old city. Superb location,, close to everywhere. Eduardo the owner went absolutely beyond and above to help with everything.. Strongly recommended

Great apartment with amazing view over the city! The host is super friendly; we arrived at 23h30 and it was no problem, he gave us very good tips about Salvador and how to get to Boipeba! Would come again for sure :)

The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating, they will do everything they can to meet your demands. The apartments are simple but clean and comfortable. The location is great, close to a small supermarket, a walk away from the main spots in the city and convenient if you need to take a cab.

The street tends to get very animated and a bit noisy at night.

Edu and Iago are amazing, the go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. Location is great within the Carmo area.

Everything was great! Eduardo is a perfect host and will help you with anything you need. The apartment is in the center of Pelourinho so you can reach anything by foot

Quite noisy (São Joao) - celebrations going on outside until 2am. Not the fault of the property but something to bear in mind if you planning on staying a similar time next year!
