Historical building with a lot of character. But the associated downside is poor insulation and so a lot of noise in the corridor - but I choose character over quiet any time. Ideal location for exploring the old town. Very good breakfast with less carbs (thankfully) than is normal in Brazil. Good balance between price and quality.

I missed having a safe in my room - I think most people expect that nowadays. Do the maths - a very modest increase of a few dollars in the nightly rate would cover the cost in a few months.......the hotel will be more profitable and the guests will be happier.

Perfect location, just around the corner with top attractions of the historic centre. Very good breakfast and impressive views from the dining room on the bay and lower city. The building is preserved in the historic style which gives unique vibe. Rooms and utensils clean.

Breakfast is very good ! The room was big and aircon worked ok. It is very close from the ferry station to take the catamaran to Morro de São Paulo. Also very close from the pelourinho and mercado modelo.

Just to say something here, this place is not for disabled people. Has a lot of stairs and no elevator.

Breakfast was ok Pousada is on the first floor so from the street there is just a door (maybe locked so press the bell and wait for door to buzz) with a sigh saying Chile. Nothing much to look at from outside but soon as you walk upstairs you will be surprised. Someone came at once and carried my bag for me. Reception at the top and was met by smiling George. Excellent welcome and he gave me all the info I required without asking. My bag was then carried upstairs to my room. There is no lift. Rooms are large and have everything you need. The pousada is on the edge of the Historic area (by the square within 5 minutes). With the area being on a hill you get excellent view of the ocean from the breakfast room. I recommend this Pousada. Old building gives it a nice touch, colonial style, well maintained and clean. Breakfast was amazing and with a great view. Location is fantastic, and staff was very helpful and kind, they helped us bring the luggages up and down the stairs.

There is a lounge next door, it can get loud but they finish relatively early and you also get to get in for free.

Great location close to the main tourist area. Fabulous views over All Saints' Bay from dining room and balcony. Old fashioned style of property.

The furnitures and accessories of thre rooms are very old and must be renovated. Towels, shampoo and toilet paper are not very good quality The breakfast could be better with more choices

The location was excellent for us, within a short distance of the historic center, the restaurants, the museums. Breakfast was quite ample with a nice variety. The view of the harbor from the breakfast window was an added treat!

The hotel needs a sign! The doorway can be very difficult to spot.
