Position, nice view, very big rooms. Close to the beach and to the castle. Very good restaurant with sea view.

The elevator. Was very small and old. We got stuck at 11 pm and it took a while to take us out. We were lucky that somebody from the floor heared us and informed the reception because the alarm from the inside of the elevator didn't worked properly. It was scary, we were 4 adults and one small kid in less that 1 srq m. Also the food from the breakfast could have been better, coffee was bad, juices very bad.

The hotel had a total of 10 free parking places in front of the hotel, and another parking at 50 m from the hotel which was for 14 leva/day which I didn't understand why it wasn't for free as well when you have around 50 apartmants in the hotel.

The location is perfect, right near the main restaurants and beach. The rooms are large and with nice decorations, same as whole hotel

The pillows on the bed are the cheapest quality. We were a family, with a sofa bed for the kid to sleep, which couldn’t be possible due to the mattress which was so thin we could feel the wires of the bed.

Spacious apartment with sensational sea view,comfortable beds,good location.

There are only a few free parking spots( maybe 6 or 7); the rest are nearby and require a 7 € fee.

The hotel is situated very well, close to the only normal beach and the restaurant for breakfast with a sea view was amazing. I liked breakfast, some reviews say it's the same every day but there is a good choice of food and it was totally ok for adults and kids for 3 nights.

There should some tea cups in the room. There is no way to make a tea or coffee during the day as they just have glasses there. There is electric teapot in the room but it's useless if you don't have the dishes to make a tea. It's not that expensive to add some cups and spoons in the room but it would be more convenient for guests.

Excellent location, spacious rooms, and a great breakfast. The outdoor restaurant, where breakfast is also served, is absolutely beautiful. Parking directly at the hotel is limited, but there is a free parking option nearby. The hotel is stylishly designed and meets the expectations of even the most demanding guests

I expected a better beach for the price 50 BGN – cleaner and better maintained. However, this is not the hotel’s fault, as the beach is operated independently just a few steps from the hotel.

The hotel is at the best possible location. It is really really beautiful outside and inside. Cleaning staff does fantastical job, towels are changed every day and sheets once every 3 days. Access to hotel is possible both from front and back sides. Bed mattress is good quality! Great view!

There is noisy restaurant 50 meters away which continues far through the night. In general this is not the quiet and calm family resort being advertised as.

Location of the hotel, the apartment was big and generous, the sheets were clean and tidy. The personel of the hotel was friendly.

There was an incident with the breakfast payment. When booked on booking we thought we had the breakfast included but it was not. At check out they said everything is ok and nothing remaining to be paid. But after 3 hours since we left they called to inform us we didn’t pay the breakfast. I transferred the money for the breakfast but it was an unpleasant situation especially that I had to pay additionally 15 EUR bank fees for a 60EUR breakfast.

Everything was fine. I like the staff speaks Romanian especially at restaurant "La Terrassa". The breakfast was rich but is missing the fruits. We were back this year for the 4th time at Maria Palace.

I see that the hotel has now a small parking place, but they didn't offer us a place when I asked about, before arriving at location. This is the main issue of hotel...

Top location right in the middle of Balchik and at around 1.3km of walking distance (over a steep slope!) from Queen Mary's palace and botanical garden. Large rooms, very nice view of the black sea and Balchik promenade. Good AC, good breakfast, good-ish terrace with food and drinks.

Bathroom smells like mould. Overall cheapness in most furniture (some newer but cheap, other finishes older and dated., Balcony very dirty. Hotel advertised as having free parking but the parking is actually charged with 7 euros/ day. Overall a good location for a weekend stay but definitely not a 4 star location (except for the room size perhaps)
