We came to watch the skijor event, and this was the perfect place to stay! Parking was super convenient, even with a big vehicle, which is always a struggle. The view from our room - stunning. Okay, real talk: I travel A LOT, and I’m usually the person who brings their own sheets everywhere. I didn’t here! Everything was so clean and comfortable that I didn’t feel the need to at all. The staff was amazing. Jodee was super sweet and answered all my questions, which I really appreciated. Katie and Beatrice helped me online before we even got there and made the whole process easy! The location was perfect, and the vibe is nice and modern. This will be my go to when coming to Banff. P.s room 301 is a corner room with 2 windows ;)

Everything, location perfect, very clean, warm and most comfortable beds and pillows, heating easy to regulate to suit our needs, nice restaurant for breakfast and have to mention Tom and Ryley as they gave exceptional customer care every day - nothing too much bother for the staff in this hotel - everyone amazing- very relaxed atmosphere and friendly people everywhere we went - would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Banff and would not hesitate in returning - thanks to all x

Location is perfect for Banff town shops and restaurants, and getting to the ski resorts of Norquay and Sunshine Village. Hotel is good, though rooms are not very spacious, particularly the King doubles.
One of our party had an internal facing room and the window was fixed so the room was airless (Room 450). Not sure 454 was much better. Hot tubs looked OK - but bar next to it is small and is fridge-based with no actual bar. The tubs are often full and attempts to ration visits to 20 minutes as promised failed. The redesigned lobby bars and restaurants are a disappointment. The refurbished 'sports bar' which was in use a few years ago (and perfect for a bar meal and a beer with loads of seats and TVs) has been changed to a function room - and not open. The main restaurant/bar is not large and they want diners not drinkers so meeting there for a drink was not easy as seats minimal.

We absolutely loved Mount Royal Hotel! Perfect location, right in the center of town and walking distance to everything. It is also beside the bus station so very convenient when you have to take ROAM (public transport system). The staff were very friendly & accommodating. The beds are comfy with good quality toiletries. The restaurant annexed to the hotel, Brazen, had the best hot chocolate we had (participated in the in the hot chocolate trail).

The hotel and rooms were very clean and modern, the staff were really friendly and it was situated right in the centre of Banff Main Street so everything was walkable. The amenities provided in the rooms were very good (drinks/fridge/toiletries/towels/hairdryer etc) and also, they have a rooftop hot tub available as well as bar/restaurant within the hotel. Also, parking spaces are available to guests which was ideal for us as we were driving to the ski resorts each day. Would definitely return to this hotel!

This hotel is excellent! The room was spacious, clean, and very modern, the restaurant has good variety, excellent food, and a nice atmosphere, staff are very friendly, and the hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Banff.
The price is a little high for my taste (but that's just because I used to be a cheap backpacker!), but considering the location, it is honestly reasonable. The first-come-first-serve parking isn't ideal, but understandable. The only super minor issue we had is that the room was advertised to have a bathtub and did not, but there is a hot tub on the roof so it isn't a big deal. Overall, good stay.

We came here to celebrate our engagement at the end of July. Everything from the views, the easy check-in, and the super clean room were spectacular. Natalie and Katie at the front desk were especially helpful during our check-in and we are extremely grateful for their assistance and accommodation when we asked to extend our stay. They made our trip! Highly recommend this hotel for anyone considering coming to banff. It’s our favorite 🤩

The room was beautiful and modern, very spacious. It had nice features like a water kettle, coffee machine, and giant fridge. The staff were very nice to leave a card and bottle of prosecco for my partner's birthday as well! The hot tub was a really lovely experience overlooking the sunset behind the mountains. The hotel was also in the perfect location, right on the main street in Banff next to anything you'd need.
The walk from the lobby to the wing we were in was pretty long and a bit confusing. Also, we were initially given details for the wrong room, so we were trying to enter someone else's! Had to walk alllllll the way back to the lobby to get the right keys, only to be told it was the wrong room number they'd given us.

Location was great and staff were very helpful. We would stay again but I'd ask for a room at the back and not the front.
We upgraded to a centennial room with a mountain view. We basically paid extra to stay in a room which was subject to so much street noise that they provided ear plugs (so this was known to them in effect) I wish we hadn't upgraded as we had 2 nights of completely broken sleep and paid extra for the privilege.

Location is perfect. Facilities were great. Definite value for money. Rooms were large and comfortable.
Spa area was a little tired and the social area didn’t feel very social. The front end staff were ok but not overly helpful when we issues with the phone in our room.
