The room was big, with a nice view. Cleaners were very good. nice touch with the free tea/coffee in the foyer. reception staff very nice and accomodating. Location is a little out from downtown Banff, but not at all a problem, as it was a little quieter, and we got free roam passes when we arrived, so the buses were free on certain routes, which was great! The pool and jacuzzi could do with updating (broken tiles), but still okay to use. Laundry room was great to use. Beds were super big and comfy.

Just a little dated, but great for the price in comparison to other hotels

It was located on the main street and easy to walk down to the shops and restaurants. We paid $10 extra for an upgrade, which included a balcony with a view of the mountains. Yes room 250 did have a small balcony with a view blocked by trees onto a side street. Very comfortable bed and great shower. Pool looked nice and clean, and the sun deck just of it overlooked a small park.

When we arrived in the underground car park there was very low visibility due to a guy on a machine supposedly vacuuming up dust, however all he was actually doing was creating a very dusty and unhealthy environment. It was quite ridiculous as no dust was being collected just spread into the air !!

Very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff! Anytime I had questions they took the time to answer without making me feel rushed. Their customer service skills are 10/10. Very clean rooms and building ! Loved the pool/gym area ! Loved the decor and style ! The price was so affordable ! I would think of staying here again, but with some adjustments, such as: * Requesting a room on the side of the building near elevator B. * Bringing my own soaps and stock up on my own water. * Bring noodle snacks and tea and not any microwaveable items.

Hallways were very confusing, very much like a maze when you are at one end of the building and need to get to the other end (to the back door) as I parked our truck in the back (not in the underground parking lot). They ran out of water bottles in the whole building. There are no microwaves. Rooms were smaller than expected. Not a fan of their soap. It has a strong ginger smell to it.

After reading all the reviews I was surprised to find that a lot were misleading. The rooms were massive the beds were comfortable and the staff very lovely. Yes they don’t use their restaurant anymore but that wasn’t needed they provided water, tea and coffee in reception and there is a fridge in your room so we had milk and fruit with cereal for breakfast. They were very clean and tidy with bonus free parking which was nice. Really enjoyed our stay. Plus the pool had just finished it’s renovation and was open which was a nice surprise.

Location and price.

Some staff was a bit cold/disinterested at times. Change should be available at front desk for washer and dryer. Area outside of elevator B and into parking garage needed cleaning due to leaked and dried liquids (from dragged trash???). This was reported to front desk 10/23 pm and never addressed. This condition existed for entire stay, quite unsightly walking to car each day. No mention about permanently closed restaurant until arrival at hotel. We were notified of pool closure prior to stay but no accomadation besides other hotel pools use if desired. besides these issues, pleasant stay at hotel. Thank you

The location is easy to find and although it’s a ways from downtown they provide you with bus passes to take during your stay. We had a room with 2 queen beds that were very comfortable and a good selection of pillows. The room was very quiet and clean, we were on the main floor and had a window that you could open to get fresh air. There was underground parking for your vehicle and was kept very clean. Staff was very nice and friendly. There is a restaurant on site but not open, sign read it was only used for special events which was a little disappointing. They provided coffee and water for guests in the lobby which was nice.

Great value. The room was clean and the hotel was quiet. They provided a bus pass to the local transport which we used. It was a 15 minute walk to the main shopping and dining area. Parking was provided under the hotel.

The pool was closed but we weren't notified until after we booked a non refundable room. The use of a pool at a sister hotel wasn't practical for our family. One of the elevators wasn't working the first day. Staff didn't mention that when I asked about an elevator from the parking level. We had a stroller and had to carry it over stairs to get to our room from the back elevator. These were inconveniences, not deal breakers.

On the main road into Banff and right next to the bus stop so it was easy to use the free shuttle passes which the hotel provided. Good undercover parking. Spacious, well appointed room. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed and deliciously soft sheets. Log fire with seating in the foyer.

Swimming pool was closed, for maintenance though the spa pool was still open. Restaurant wasn’t open in the evenings. The hotel had a very dated look to it, with sombre colours through out. No stands for our cases so they had to be on the floor.

Great location just over 10 minutes walk to the centre of Banff or free bus (tickets from reception) from just outside of the property. Super clean with good sized rooms. Lovely lobby with fireplace. The heated basement parking was a real bonus and there was always plenty of space. The swimming pool had re-opened when we arrived which was an unexpected surprise. Really good stay thank you

The location and facilities were exactly what we needed. Some might say the decor and general appearance could use a little updating, and although some things appear to be dated, I actually enjoy the older cozier look and feel. The staff were excellent. Didn't have many dealings with them, as a seasoned traveler and having been to Banff countless times, there wasn't much I needed in way of information or directions. Over all I'd recommend this place to any traveler, from business to family groups. The rooms are spacious, plenty of thoughtful conveniences and overall excellent quality and value.

There was not a single thing I did not like. I'm sure if I needed to be petty there could be small gripes, but having been in numerous hotels and lodgings around Banff over the years, this hotel honestly rates in my top 5 for location, value and overall quality cleanliness. Just keep doing what you do best and offer a great place to lodge and launch daily adventures from.
