The room was spacious and it had a nicely appointed kitchenette so saved money on going out all the time. The trains run by twice a day and when I was there it was 8:00 a.m. And 11:00 p.m. So it wasn't that bad. Other than that, parking was right out front of my unit. And I faced the back side so I could see the lake in the mountains. It had a nice private balcony as well so I could sit outside. All in all nothing to complain about. I also liked the fact that it was associated with that other hotel down the road that you could go to as well which had a swimming pool a couple of restaurants

I thought it was a little bit expensive for what it was but I had to stay somewhere and it was the least expensive place in town.

Breath taking views, close to everything. The staff was fantastic and gave us information about the area. They are obviously proud of their town and happy to help when they could. Hotel room with outside patio/balcony was nice for some evening outside time. Rooms are clean and have hair dryers, small microwave, fridge and coffee maker. (Has complimentary coffee, tea and the milk powder/sugar fixings ) It’s worth mentioning that the refillable shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower smell so good! Thank you for a wonderful, welcoming stay! When back in Nelson, we will book again.

Not something I didn’t like. Just a bit of feedback. - Offering a cold bottle of water for each guest at check-in. - Offering hot coffee in the lobby in the morning would be nice as well. - An area with cold water to refill hiking bottles. This would elevate the experience of the stay.

My stay was absolutely wonderful - I will definitely return! The lake view from my room was picturesque and serene. I loved the high-quality hair and bath products in the bathroom. Loved the close proximity (a very short walk) to the beautiful lakeside park, grocery store and Walmart. The room was super clean and comfortable. My dog enjoyed it as well. I highly recommend Prestige Inn Nelson!

I was actually looking forward to the train noise, but did not experience that during my one-night stay.

Easy access via elevator to our room on the top floor. Hotel had a nice historic vibe.

The clock radio was impossible to figure out and had to be plugged in behind the bed. There was no freezer door on the bar fridge. Very hard to find the ice machine; there was only one for the three floors. The bathtub sides were high, so hard for some to access if they had mobility issues. Also no hand bars, non-slip tub mats, no bath mat to step out on to with wet feet on tile floor.

Front desk staff very cheerful. Clean rooms. Close to park which is a great walk.

There is an elevator but other than the first floor you have to go up or down a few steps to get to the room. Parking spaces are a bit narrow and if you come in late may be hard to get. Could use a bit more light in the room as it is not light enough to read.

We didn't know breakfast was available! But we were happy with the room even tho we didn't need the wheelchair availability. It felt clean. It felt like it was operated by true Canadians, which we can't say for the other hotel stays weve had. Sorry. But truth is truth, even tho we aren't suppose to speak it. I would recommend this hotel. Thank you.

The doors in the hall banged loudly all evening! Thats the only negative thing I'd say.

Amazing staff that was very polite kind and helpful. Very well preserved and updated historical hotel. Loved that they had the opportunity to utilize the sister property with pool and other amenities. We did not use these however on this visit.

I realize it may seem trivial, but pillows were not great. I realize that I may be a bit of a pillow snob, but to be able to have a variety of both firm and very soft and more flat pillows (ie down) would have made for a much better sleeping experience. That truly was my only drawback.

We love the rooms and the service. My fiancé and I love how there was a little kitchen so we didn't have to eat out as much. It was lovely having a year round deck to sit on. It wasn't very cold out so we were able to used the deck.

The parking can be tough when the hotel as fully or near fully booked. Made parking tricky at times.

It was easy to find. All the rooms have a view of the lake. It is located right beside a mall.

Our original room was oddly located and very small. However, the front desk person did an upgrade with no problem. The second room was more comfortable but we could only take the trolley part way down the hallway because of some stairs to get to the room. This is just a weird peculiarity of this hotel.

We enjoyed the ability to use the amenities at the other Prestige "Resort" including the swimming pool and the hot tub and restaurant. As well, our room had a view of the lake, which we weren't expecting. We also enjoyed the fridge and the microwave in the room.

The windows are really small so our view of the lake was restricted but the room was lovely, nevertheless.
