We had driven a long way in a major storm and when we arrived, we noticed a couple of things in our room which had been overlooked by the Housekeeping staff. The Manager, Muizz, Immediately transferred us to a different and far superior room where we were able to rest comfortably and our stay became so much better. He was EXTREMELY apologetic for the original oversights and again the following morning - when we discovered we had possibly left an item in the original room, he rushed to help locate it. All in all, the customer service at Oceanside was exceptional and it was a pleasure to stay at the Hotel

- Staff was very friendly - check in & check out fast - King beds super comfortable - Bathroom updated and beautiful; with a rain shower and heated mirror - we had a second floor room, so no one above us - 2 king room spacious enough for a family as it has a bedroom - the restaurant below is very good. Clean, tasty food, great staff.

- the highway is between the hotel and the ocean. Not the hotel’s fault of course, but there’s quite a bit of traffic noise to be aware of - communal bbq for guests outside very smelly - kitchenette was outdated and only one stove ring worked

I/we always love staying with OveanSide Hotel just a beautiful location and so peaceful.

The lack of "room servive" everyday "maid service" cleaning of the rooms everyday was not 100% Beds not properly remade and bathrooms not cleaned properly. At teast too the perfect room we entered when we first arrived. So that could use some working in. Especially for.what we pay to stay there.

The restaurant is really good great food friendly servers and service.

Our room was great BUT (rm #214) the hairdryer wasnt working and maybe put extra coffee pods in each room there was only 2 coffee and 2 tea some prefer more than one coffee each if 2 persons are in the room. And the sliding doors to the patio need replacing there is condensation in between the glass panes it looks horrible. When your paying $516.00 per night...you dont want to be seeing that.

The room was very nice renovated. Comfortable bed. I absolutely loved the mirror in the bathroom, was one touch. The Oceanview view from room was priceless. Room was very clean. One step from hotel ,we have breakfast and lunch. Was very good. Personal was very nice. Bonus was in Hotel lobby good quality coffee 7 different mocca, cappuccino, latte ....You not see often. Highly recommend visit this Hotel !

What to not like? I like everything in this hotel .

location- right across the road from the ocean that we could enjoy the ocean from the patio of our room! staff- called a few days advance of our visit n the guy ( forgot name but indian), went out of the way to help us. Same with Sameera when we checked in- weather was bad and she let us check in early without any hassle- she was helpful throughout and v pleasant to talk to. We liked the fact that she even called to ensure we had liked the room….thank you!

Everything was great… The appliances r brand new and modern. The minor hassle would be worth 5% compared to 95 percent comfort n dont consider it to be the hotel’s fault….. - our room smelled of natural gas which we later realized came through patio from the restaurant below so a room freshner would be a great idea! Bedding was nicely made but i kept getting small bites probably from the roughness of the sheets or some bug… not to miss that i barely noticed it once i fell asleep for we were so tired n sleepy.

Loved the location right by the pier! Watched the sunset from the balcony every night! Staff were lovely and it was great that it was dog friendly as I could bring my pups on the adventure. Joe's on the beach restaurant that is attached is great too and allowed us to bring our dogs to sit on the outside of the patio..

Construction going on right in front of the balcony was a bit annoying but they are just finishing up some renovations so understandable.

The restaurant attached over priced and very poor service at breakfast, waitress seated us said she would be back with coffee the proceeded to start a conversation with another guest 6 feet away. Waited 10 minutes got up and left she didn’t even acknowledge we were leaving.

The Oceanside was spotless and very nicely decorated. The balcony overlooking Davis Bay was exceptional. The restaurant on site was perfect for happy hour and breakfast. Excellent food! Muzzi from the hotel was a wonderful host. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Oceanside.

Great location , could walk or jog by the ocean walk .I appreciated the nice touch that on first day they phoned my room to check i was happy & had what i needed . Everything very clean . Great restaurant Joes

wish they kept the windows cleaner, as lovely view marred by dirty windows !!
