The neutral decor and comfort . The location is walkable to downtown and other activities. Inside the apartment is quiet and the city view is nice.

The building is secure, but outside there were some needy people gathering around the building and trash was scattered by the entrance . We had issue with opening the lock box, but when we called the concierge came and helped us. It would be helpful to include in written directions that you have to turn the knob to open the lock box. There is also some electrical burning smell exists in the apartment. We didn’t have any cleaning services during 5 nights stay!

We found the lock box a bit frustrating and hard to get into. We didn’t realize check in instructions were to be found in an email but called the number on the sign. The person answering was reasonably helpful after we had some confusion about our location. We would have appreciated clarification about parking and how to access it.

The location is great and the apartments are well-equipped tiny little slices of luxury.

Maybe I should have realized this, but given that these units are "apartments," guests need to provide their own garbage bags, dish soap, coffee pods, toiletries, etc. (There are two coffee pods and a day or two's worth of shampoo provided, but beyond that you're on your own). If you want to use the coffeemaker, you'll also have to provide your own mugs or else use the juice glasses, because the only mugs with handles that SoHo provides don't actually fit in the Keurig.

Easy to check in and out, instructions are clear, indoor parking is easy and always has spots open. Overall location, sunlight in the condo, comfort was good.

kitchen could be equipped better, basic/non existing kithen tools. I had to buy toilet paper, a few additional rolls would be helpful.

Nice suites. Close enough to all things. Well equipped. Friendly cleaning staff.

The apartment was lovely. We had an amazing city view with a balcony and floor to ceiling windows. Our location could not have been any better. It was a 12 minute walk to the parliament buildings, Rideau Canal, Chateau Laurier, Bank of Canada, Byward Market and the mall. There was several grocery stores within minutes of our location and many restaurant choices as well.

I don’t think there was anything we didn’t like about this property. It had everything we wanted and needed.

I like everything it was exactly what I was looking for. The room was very clean and has everything you need for a long stay. The kitchen is well equipped as well. The coffee machine is a KRUPS (brewed coffee only version) the cup doesn't fit hence, the sensor could not detect it easily, you have to place it (strategically) nevertheless it was fine. There's a dishwasher, oven, bed is comfy, toilets are clean (and I mean proper clean- I lived in Japan so my definition of clean is very high) There is also a washer and dryer so its very convenient. Toiletries are provided + laundry and detergent soap. I think it is for 2 days (if you are staying longer buy some). I was a little hesitant at first in this hotel because I read some reviews that the location was a bit dodgy and shady. But when I was there, I didn't feel unsafe at all and I did not see any homeless people outside as it was mentioned in previous reviews here (perhaps because it was winter?) The street where it is a located is right beside a church, across it is an empty parking lot, the next block has a community center but I didn't feel unsafe walking there. This building is about 6-7 minutes away from a big organic supermarket (farmboy) a pharmacy and really convenient to go to to centre. There is a good coffee shop maybe 6-7 minutes walk (little darling coffeee roaster) and other restaurants on that street. Overall my stay was highly positive and the staff who assisted me when I have questions about the room helped me timely. The room photos are exactly as it is shown in here. I uploaded the street outside the building for reference.

The wifi is a bit patchy- It can connect but quite slow it is perhaps because of the location of the room as I was in a higher floor, you can watch netflix and youtube and do office related things but there is a bit of lag. It can work but just slow at times (not super slow).

The kitchen is well-equipped with everything that is needed - cutlery, plates, mugs, glasses, pots, pans. There is also dish soup scrubby brush, dish towels provided as well as laundry detergent and dryer sheets. There is a great grocery store nearby (Farmboy). In my unit, there was furniture on the balcony. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom had soap, body wash/shampoo, conditioner and body lotion as well as hair dryer and bathrobe + towels.

My key cards didn't work when I arrived. I think they were coded wrong. I simply called the number provided, and the situation was sorted within 2 hours. The rest of the check-in was very easy. There wasn't an outlet close to the table, - that was the only slight inconvenience.

First world problems The washing machine in the unit did not work. Tiny amount of shampoo/conditioner provided so bring your own. No fry pan in otherwise fully equipped kitchen. No clear communication about when housekeeping staff would be entering the unit.

The room unit was very comfortable and the available utilities were good to use. Upon arrival, the unit was clean and the heating worked very well, especially during the winter. The location was also very accessible, with many restaurants around the vicinity.

The way the kitchen area was organized made is difficult to move around. Furthermore, because there weren't a lot of electrical outlets near the kitchen table, working and studying while charging your laptop was rather challenging.
