First, I got an upgrade to an executive suite and that was a very welcome gesture. As soon as I checked into the executive room, I immediately knew I wanted to extend my stay at the hotel, which I did for an additional 3 nights. And I still stayed in the executive suite for those additional nights. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Ottawa making it easy to walk around and navigate the historical and memorial sites with much ease. Indeed, there is value for money. Staff are extremely friendly and supportive. My TV was fixed in a split second after I reported. Free laundry facilities are an additional gesture that make life extremely easy for travelers. Washing detergent is also provided. Breakfast has a thousand options and appropriate for all ages and meets dietary needs for everyone. Kudos to that. Thank you to The Business Inn.

I liked everything and I’ll come back with my family.

We love this place especially because of the staff. They are so nice and accommodating. My husband is a pianist and has concerts once a month regularly. 3 in one weekend. So we stay there regularly. The location, the breakfast. All amazing , but mostly the staff.

This time the bed was not comfortable and the room was tight. I am handicap so with the wheelchair, or a walker this room on the friend floor was not good. The best was on the third floor, next to the elevator, (across the breakfast room). Parking 27 was amazing. Also I didn’t like the vacuum cleaner hanging in the middle of the room.

We booked a queen studio and it was so perfect will all the basic amenities included. The best part was balcony which really give me very lively feel. And also a great location for tourists. Too many food place are just on 2-3 min walk and also parliament hill is even on walking distance. Parking facilities was also provided for $20 per night . And also great breakfast service was included. All in all it's a great place to stay in Ottawa for a leisure trip.

There's nothing for shopping around it and also if you are a nature beloved person this will not help at all.

The queen suite was spacious and comfortable. I was amazed that there was a computer in the room available for personal/business use - what a plus! There is a full kitchen with stove and fridge - all the necessities if you want to cook your own meals. The location is central to all amenities and within walking distance to great restaurants. The bed was very comfortable, the complimentary breakfast had a wide variety of choices for all. The front desk, breakfast and hospitality staff were super attentive, welcoming and friendly. The main entrance was being renovated so know that this property cares to improve the look, feel and comfort of the guests. Thank you for providing a fabulous place to stay away from home.

Not a thing!

I was pleasantly surprised by the price-to-quality ratio at this hotel. Although it was a budget trip, we received much more than we expected. Compared to hotels in Montreal and Toronto, where we paid significantly more for much lower quality, this stay was a great value. The room was fully equipped for any situation: a stove with an oven, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, a complete set of dishes and cutlery, refrigerator, iron and steamer, air conditioner, fan, air purifier, wall and bedside clocks, desk lamps, an automatic night light in the bathroom, hair dryer, vanity table with lighting, and even a full working space with a computer and printer. There were two TVs — one facing the sofa and another by the bed. It also had a bathtub, not just a shower cabin, which is a nice bonus. And that’s just part of the list! The location is excellent — just a 10-minute walk to the main attractions. Our windows faced Minto Park, so street noise wasn’t an issue, and the view was lovely. Breakfast was good, with a wide selection of products to suit almost any taste.

The room had poor sound insulation. We could hear both people in the hallway and noise from neighboring rooms. While the variety of equipment was impressive, most items were rather old and basic. However, everything worked fine, and that’s what really matters. The biggest disappointment was the refrigerator — it was spacious but very noisy at night and may disturb guests’ sleep. Also, I should mention that although our room faced the quiet side, I assume that rooms facing the opposite side of the building might experience street noise, as there is a large sports bar located there. Breakfast had a wide selection, but most products were store-bought rather than freshly prepared. Still, given that this isn’t a five-star hotel, I wouldn’t consider this a serious drawback.

I liked that the hotel had an elevator, and my room was on a lower floor (3rd floor to be exact). My room was across from the breakfast room and beside the elevator. I was really surprised at how quiet the room was that I did not hear the elevator nor the comings and goings of people going to the breakfast room. I like that my room had a full kitchen. This is beneficial for people for long stays to be in this type of room. Overall, I am very satisfied with my stay.

The TV service and TV needs to be upgrade. I thought I could either stream/cast my tablet to Netflix or Prime Video or YouTube but I could not. The TV cable box does nned an upgrade though and I couldn't not change the TV channels with the TV remote I had to go to the box. This was inconvenient so the TV pretty much stayed on 1 channel the whole time. This was the only thing I did not like. Aside from that, everything was fine.

Our room was spacious – a small suite, actually – and it had everything we needed for a longer stay. The Business Inn is conveniently located and affordable. The complimentary breakfast offered ample portions and it was always easy to find seating, even when the breakfast rooms were busy.

Although the bed was excellent, the other furnishings were a little tired looking. The breakfast is not as good as it used to be (in the days before the pandemic), so despite ample portions, it wasn't as appetizing as I remember in years gone by. The parking garage is awkward to navigate.

The staff were incredibly friendly and allowed us to check in early which was a huge convenience as we had moved hotel. The breakfast was great with a good selection of hot and cold food. The gym and laundry facilities were also very good as I used them both on my one night stay. Also the room and its amenities were faultless for me. Parking facilities and close to the city centre made this a 10/10 stay.

Nothing at all I would highly recommend

For a budget-friendly option you can’t get much better. The rooms are spacious and clean, but a bit dated. I was in one of the executive suites and I think that floor (2nd) may have previously been a smoking floor so there was a hint of a strange smell. I am extremely sensitive to smells but after 2 mins in the room I could no longer notice it so it was not an issue for me. My room was facing Elgin street so when in the seating area you could hear the street noise, and at night the street light was on right outside the window. The bed was set far away and had a dividing wall so neither of these things we an issue to me (and I am a light sleeper). I really can’t complain for the price - it was more than a fair deal. Be warned, if you are a fussy traveller that wants luxury, this is not the place for you. If you want a good deal in a great location that offers big, convenient rooms then you will not be disappointed!

A bit of an old smell, breakfast was plentiful, but not super fresh.

The room is fairly large and was able to accommodate a slightly larger party than most hotels/inns. The room included a kitchen with full sized appliances, and most cuttlery and utensils you might need, along with dish washing supplies clean anything you use when finished. The room I stayed in was on the 2nd floor, with the street below lined with bars and restaurants. It could be a bit loud at moments but overall my group didn't have too much difficulty sleeping. The elevators are very small. If there is a busy rush of check-ins or breakfast diners, expect to wait a bit as you may only fit 1 or 2 people along with luggage. There is 2 pairs of elevators, on opposite sides of the building, however only 1 pair that can access the lobby. The other elevators access up to the third floor. They can be very useful to access the gym and breakfast room if you are on the lower floors, if the main elevators are busy. In regards to food, there is a vending machine in the lobby that is a bit pricy, but includes snacks as well as phone chargers and other useful items if you forget/lose something in your journey. Breakfast is complimentary, with a fair variety of foods. There is some seating in the breakfast room, as well as an additional dining room across the hall. It can get busy, but I never observed any guests unable to find a table to themselves. Parking is an extra fee, twith underground parking for small vehicles, however larger vehicles are required to use outdoor parking that is adjacent to the lobby. There is also a gym room as well as on-site laundry (if needed). Each floor also has a supply cabinet that is easily accessible by guests and everything was clearly labeled in case you run out of soap or need an extra towel. The location is walking distance to many attractions, including Parliament, Rideau Canal, a street market area, as well as a nice park and larger shopping mall.

Elevators are very small and can not fit many people. They can be difficult to access when there is a large group of check-ins or during the morning breakfast rush. My room was directly above several bars and restaurants and they can be loud at night on weekends.
