The accommodations were very clean and comfortable. The house was in very nice shape offering nice communal spaces while retaining privacy. The breakfasts were delicious every morning and Vittorio was a fantastic host. It's also located in a very nice part of downtown making it convenient for getting around Ottawa.

Sound travelled through the walls, but it was never enough to keep people up or to hear specifically what was happening on the other side (s) of the walls.

This B&B was great. The location is excellent! It's very walkable to busses, trains, the UOttawa campus, grocery stores, restaurants and bars, and main attractions like the parliament and Byward Market. Vittorio is a very attentive host, making excellent vegetarian breakfasts every morning. I booked through booking.com and he always replied to messages quickly. The house is beautiful, with a lovely main floor and four bedrooms upstairs. My room had a private bathroom and lots of space.

The only inconvenience I experienced was being cold quite often. The rooms don't have thermostats, and the hallway was kept at 19°C which was chilly. The water in the shower didn't get fully hot either, only warm, so I couldn't warm up that way.

We spent three nights in the Century House BnB in downtown Ottawa. The property is located within walking distance to the parliament buildings and the other main attractions. It was very quiet. Inside the home was immaculate. Incredibly clean. The owner Vittorio was amazing. The breakfasts served were delicious! There was safe, free parking for our car. Vittorio is an exceptionally considerate host. We highly recommend you stay at the Century House Bed and Breakfast when visiting Ottawa. You'll be most pleased.

one or two blocks near the B&B are a bit edgy (as in all N. American downtowns) but walking around those blocks you won't see anything and will feel safe.

Location is very close (walking distance) to the very center of Ottawa. The house is kept super clean (guests are asked to remove their shoes). It's away enough from touristy areas, so no noise (I'm a light sleeper and had no issues). Quiet hours are observed by guests. And the owner lives in the same building. Breakfast is provided but see note below on details.

Although breakfast is provided, everybody eats the same prepared meal. In other words, there are no options to choose from. That's a limitation if you are not particularly eager to eat waffles, pancakes, etc. No meats as far as I could tell. Also, it was a surprise that breakfast is served between 8-8:30am (no hot breakfast after 8:30am). Keep in mind that you absolutely need to pack warm socks or slippers as the floor feels like ice especially in winter time (from bathroom tiles to kitchen linoleum).

When we came through the front door we were greeted by Vittorio, the owner and proprietor. As requested by the sign, we removed our street shoes and walked into an immaculately clean and inviting environment. The entire bed and breakfast is thoughtfully decorated and very warm. Vittorio took us to our room and provided us with information about the bed and breakfast. The room was very nice, complete with a comfortable mattress and a very nice bathroom. We stayed there 3 nights and, therefore, we enjoyed 3 distinctly different and delicious breakfasts. After learning that my wife is lactose intolerant he purchased lactose-free milk to make her scrambled eggs on the second day. Vittorio is an exceptionally considerate host. We highly recommend you stay at the Century House Bed and Breakfast when visiting Ottawa. You'll be most pleased.

The breakfast was more than adequate to start the day, with fresh fruit every morning, waffles on one morning, a frittata on another morning and apple pancake on another morning with coffee and orange juice, all beautifully presented. It was a short walk to the Parliament Buildings and to public transit.

The breakfast was served at 8 am on the button, so sleeping in was never an option.

House and owner were very nice. The home was very clean and generally comfortable. The breakfasts were very nice and staff very accomodating

The bathroom was very small and the shower was not easy to use. The shower head could be updated. The bed was very noisy when getting up to use the bathroom during the evening, thus disturbing my wife. The breakfast time was too early and limited to approximately a half hour

The host was lovely and friendly. The room was very nice. Instructions on arrival were clear and easy to follow. Breakfast was included and fresh and well cooked. Location is near the sights. Free parking

The bathroom was a little small and the shower was only just ok. Not totally sure about the area. It was very convenient for access to the sights but some interesting people were wandering about during the day and evening.

Vittorio produced an ample, creative and healthy breakfast each of the 3 mornings I stayed in his B&B. He was so willing to help his guests find restaurants and otherwise, enjoy the sites of Ottawa. Easy location to walk (around construction) to Parliament, U of Ottawa, Shaw Center, Elgin Street, and By Ward market. Some intercity blocks are a bit edgy as in all N. American downtowns, but walking the right streets in the University sector, you'll find plenty of good company. There was safe, free parking for my rental car. The room was simple but quite comfortable, with everything I needed-- Most importantly, it was very clean with nice, comfy bedding and good shower.

Even with the printed guide, I found the TV a bit difficult to navigate. My fault for not asking for help but by the time I was in bed, it was too late!

Location was great for us to walk to the Byward market area for the two evenings we were there. It was also very quiet at night so we could sleep and spotless clean . Bed was also very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was great and the owner very friendly and helpful.

My wife side the bed needed a side table to set her glasses and i-pad . Also the temperature in the room was good when we went to bed but we woke up hot in the middle of the night and had to open the window because the AC was not on. This air B&B also had free parking beside the house which was great.
