About the Spanish workers they were racism

It's great worth for the money. The living area is a great place to chill and read a book and relax, especially because you cannot do these things in your room on a bunk bed with 7 other people. I loved just being the living room sometimes making small talk with others there or getting immersed in my book. The location is fantastic, everything relevant is walking distance. The bathrooms were really clean despite so many people living in the property. I recommend to anyone traveling solo.

Clean and well-maintained. Exactly what you want and expect from a hostel. Friendly and accommodating staff. Cozy feel to the common areas, like staying at someone's house. The kitchen appliances were in good order and people respected the shared fridge space. Convenient location: 10 minute walk from the MONTRÉAL-OTTAWA, etc. bus pick-up/drop off location by the Desmarais Building of uOttawa that most companies use. And a 5 minute walk from the central nightlife area of Ottawa (Byward Market), with lots of restaurants, bars, etc. (The African BBQ place on Dalhousie is delicious, if you want to avoid the more tourist trap places like Zak's). Also, St. Brigid's Well is 2 minutes away and located in an old church basement, they have a great selection of Irish whiskey and usually have music a few times a week. 5-ish minute walk to bus stops for routes 6 and 7, which will both take you down Bank St., and to the Line 1 light rail station located in Rideau Mall.

This is pretty standard for many hostels, but there can be long-ish queues for bathrooms in the morning. If you need to leave at a certain time, plan ahead. Not really a negative to me, but if you're not from the area, you should be aware that this general part of the city is a wee bit rougher. However, it's "Ottawa rough", which is pretty tame compared to most other North American cities.

Liked-Outside sitting areas front and back, large/wide bunk beds, coin laundry that works well, free coffee and filtered water plus some basic foods, quiet rooms plus plugin beside bed, comfy sofas in living room, helpful staff, and awesome music playing! Excellent value, convenient location. Highly recommend, and i would stay again as a first choice when in Ottawa for sure. 💯😎👊👍

Meh-supposed to take off your shoes inside (to cut down on the dirt), (but i have a foot injury so they were kind enough to let me wear my runners anyway), creamer/powder for the free coffee instead of just milk would be great too; but other than that its a pretty great hostel all around and i have traveled the globe so thats sayin' something. Cheers!

Location. Internet is good. Bathrooms are clean, hot water. Kitchen is very good. Coffee and tea and water refill is free. Very good. Big supermarket Metro is near. Walking street is there. By bus you can come from airport. Only advantages

In my room for 8 beds I saw only 6 safety boxes. But I might be mistaken, cause I didn’t use them so I didn’t pay attention. Nevertheless, bring your lock. No disadvantage actually. Hostel is good

Great location in a nice area near to the major sights, supermarket and transport. Staff were great. The room was OK, and the bed was comfortable if wobbly and squeaky, and the thin iron ladder to the top bunk was painful on the feet. Nice common room with sofas and TV. The Well equipped kitchen with free tea and coffee was a nice touch.

The bunks could really do with an upgrade or at least tighten the bolts up regularly. There were a few long term people in my dorm (Africa) and they took over the space with lots of luggage and clothes. Maybe put them altogether in one dorm ? This would give others more room. Also a very noisy fan. But all in all was a nice stay thank you 😊

I was alone in my room, because there were too few people in general. It was clean, the location was okay - just 15 minutes walk from major places of interest. The personnel was nice, and kitchen was fine, although not quite good organized - as the sink and oven are distant from each other. There was much of home atmosphere.

It was cold during the night, as the heater in the room did not work, but I was provided with a convector heater. Renting a towel is 2 CAD - although that is quite a necessary thing for travellers.

I had an amazing stay at this hostel! The staff were absolutely the best – friendly, helpful, and always went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. The atmosphere they create makes the place feel like a second home. If I ever come back to this area, there's no question about it – I'll definitely be staying here again!

Location is not the best one.

I didn't eat breakfast because I had to early in the morning. The staff is fantastico. I had 2 nice conversations. One of them it was for iron I asked to iron my uniform and the second I had a little issue and the guy said I looked like a nice boy and let me in I really appreciated that He treats people like human beings Keep going like that brother it's a good goal for you I hope he get the message After that everything was fantastico.

Well organized beds, easy late night check in, reasonable save lockers, AC (on common noisy level), fine kitchen, clean bathroom, overall nicely clean, comfortably common living room, very close to the city center, good control of the neighborhood (homeless are around but hostel is nicely sheltered), friendly personal, perfect price / value rating!
