This was a cozy and quiet bed & breakfast located in the heart of Byward Market. Pierre and Chantelle are remarkable folks who are always available to help you with tourist info, sites to see, and local events. Our quaint room was beautiful, clean, and quiet. Pierre has such a warm interpersonal style that will make you feel at home- he will start your mornings with excellent coffee and breakfast favourites! The kitchen was available for use, stocked with pantry items and food for your convenience- although, we did not take advantage of it. Overall, this was an extremely satisfying stay that really made our Ottawa trip- we highly recommend!

First of all we have to talk about the awesome hosts Pierre and his mother which give their hearts for the B&B. They are so warm hosts, helpful and you can talk to them about so many subjects, that we sat sometime longer in the breakfast room than we planned. The rooms were very clean, the bed komfortable and the breakfast delicious. Even though the house is a bit old, it is charming and the hosts make you feel like you are staying with friends. Thanks for so many recommendations for museums, restaurants, tours and highlights of the city, that we were unable to see all of them and thank you for the route planning for our next trip

As the final stop of our five-day Quebec–Montreal–Ottawa trip before heading home to Toronto, I picked this place in Ottawa because of its outstanding reviews, though I didn’t expect much. In the end, I found my choice was exactly right. Even with our late check-in, we received such a warm welcome that it felt special, and the thoughtfully prepared breakfast was simply delightful. The vintage charm of the rooms—spotless and cozy—made me feel right at home. Above all, the kindness and warmth of our hosts, Chaneal and Pierre, turned this stay into the perfect finale. In other cities’ hotels, I woke once or twice at night from some discomfort, but here I slept straight through and even overslept—it was the best night’s sleep of the trip. I regret rushing off without properly thanking our hosts. If I ever have the chance, I’ll definitely return with my daughter. If I'm revisiting Ottawa, this is unquestionably the place to stay!

Pierre and his mother were one of the most welcoming and charming hosts I’ve ever encountered in my travels. Their hospitality made me feel right at home. Every morning, I could choose from a delicious homemade breakfast—crêpes, omelets, or other fresh options—mostly organic and always completed with a fresh fruit salad and any beverage I liked, including excellent coffee. The house itself was a beautiful character home with a warm and cozy atmosphere. Everything was spotless, the rooms were well-equipped with a TV, and I had access to the kitchen, the fridge and snacks, so you could make yourself food in the evening if you desired. They even had free laundry service on demand. The location was unbeatable—just a few blocks from the historic downtown center / Parliament. Pierre was incredibly knowledgeable about Ottawa’s history and culture, making morning conversations over breakfast a delight, with insider tips for exploring Ottawa. Great value for money, 10/10—would absolutely return!

This is the place to choose when you visit Ottawa. The place locates right in the heart of the downtown of Ottawa, the room and house are very cozy and clean and Pierre is an incredible host: he took time to chat with guests, made individual breakfasts to all guests every morning, made sure everything was alright and also gave tips to what to see and how to operate wisely in Ottawa. He speaks both English and French fluently. Thank you so so much!
This place exceeded my expectations. Absolutely nothing to complain!

Auberge Des Arts An eclectic and cozy bed and breakfast virtually in the heart of the Byward market area. Our host is bilingual which is helpful for those who speak either French or English. This older house has continued it’s original character even being situated in a residential area that seems to be undergoing a renovation revival. It is a well maintained and clean establishment with three rooms available. We were in the queen room with a private bathroom which also included a small kitchen area that sported a fridge and microwave. There was an assortment of antique furnishings throughout the house that produced a comfortable environment. The rooms were atop a steep set of stairs that were easily managed. Our room had a comfortable bed and decent shower tub combination and TV and WIFI reception that served our purpose. In the breakfast area downstairs where guests gathered. an unusually lavish assortment of breakfast choices were offered that included omelettes, French toast, fruit cup, coffee, teas (several varieties), juice, crepes, all served however without any type of meat. That being said the portions were so large that no breakfast meats were needed. Guests were also given access to the kitchen itself for personal preparations of their own. The house was easily found albeit with Ottawa’s notorious one-way streets making it challenging. Parking in the house’s private driveway was available as street parking is not allowed except by permit.

It felt like staying with family. The inn was run with such warmth—everyone was incredibly helpful, social, and eager to share tips on how to make the most of the stay, from using the restaurant and facilities to recommending nearby sights and upcoming events. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore the city and enjoy everything nearby. The place was spotless, smelled fresh, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. And the breakfast—honestly—was better than what I’ve had in many 5-star hotels. I’m not exaggerating.

I loved my stay here. Clean room, comfortable bed, delicious breakfasts, and the best location possible at a very good price - in easy walking distance to the National Gallery, the Parliament Buildings (book an excellent free tour), the canal, parks, etc. Also, dont miss a walk across the bridge to Gatineau to visit the National Museum of Canadian History. Pierre, your host, is so welcoming, friendly, easy-going, and helpful. I felt very much at home, especially sitting and relaxing on the front porch in the evening. Merci Pierre!

The host was very friendly; he cared about all our needs even before we asked. Everything was clean: the dining room, kitchen, bathroom with impeccable white towels, and our quiet, warm room with fresh bedding and a comfortable mattress. The breakfast was diverse, delicious, and more than enough. The location is absolutely great, with all the main attractions within walking distance. The always-available free parking at the house was also a great asset.

Will stay here from now on when we come to visit family in Ottawa. The location is incredible. Walking distance to everything you are staying downtown for. on site parking. It's a older home, which we love due to the character and antique furniture. Pierre is the best host; treats you like an old friend. We stayed upstairs in the room with the bathroom and kitchenette. It served our purpose for the 4 days we were there for a wedding. The bed was comfortable and nice bedding. Very nice, large bathroom and shower. The breakfast was #1!!!!!!!! He cooks to order and what a great chef he is. The French toast is a must try and the crepes.
Nothing. For us everything was perfect.
