We were returning to Ottawa to catch up with friends and relatives. The suite was the size of a 2 bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms. It had been recently updated and had the things we would expect but rarely find in an hotel. Nightlights in the bathroom, good reading lights, a modern clock radio, 2 charging jacks by the bed, full size fridge, stove and microwave, Web TV connections on both TVs, a balcony with an interesting view of the city. the exercise room was well equiped and not crowded. Staff were excellent and friendly not a surly one in the hotel.

The pool was always full of children, to be expected with such large suites. A little difficult to get too by car without good directions, in a busy part of the city for traffic but great base to walk or to use public transit from. Elevators were slow due to the number of people and staff using them, we were on the 18th floor and there are 3 elevators. It is in the downtown and there are homeless people nearby but they were well mannered, there was traffic noise but the traffic was fun to watch from the balcony , wondering how impatient drivers can be. Check in can be slow due to the number of families and groups, avoid 3pm checkin and the 11am checkout.

Centrally located within walking distance of everything we wanted to see and for a city centre hotel reasonably quiet traffic wise. We were given a corner room on 15th floor because we requested a quiet room away from elevators and extractor fans. It was very quiet and we were very pleased. The housekeeping staff did a very good job even putting down an extra floor mat becasue of exceptionally heavy snow. The little appartment was perfect and we were able to cook breakfasts and if one wanted to cook a full meal. . We were directed to a very expensive Supermarket in the Rideau Centre - strongly suggest going the opposite direction to Metro for just as good quality at lower cost!

The apartment was excessivly hot and stuck at 23 degrees no matter what we tried. Housekeeping rasied it as an issue with maintainance but nothing was done. We kept the windows open in an effort to make the rooms bareable. A small pot for eggs would be a great idea and so would a plastic spatula to avoid using metal on non stick frying pan The mattress needs replacing and the pillow options are not great for older guests

The rooms are an incredible value for money spent!! We have a baby, so having a suite with a separate bedroom allowed my husband and myself to enjoy our stay after 7:30 PM. lol the space is spacious, appears recently renovated, and has a GREAT kitchen set up with many of the things needed for cooking and eating! Bathrooms were great, we had a city view qith a nice balcony. Beds were comfortable. The rooms heated up quickly and had their own controls which was great. The master room in the two bedroom suite was huge. Check-in was quick and easy, and we were generally able to find parking close to an entrance in the underground parking area. We enjoyed the pool (water was a bit cold, especially with a 16 month old, but definitely tolerable). Fitness center was nice, and it is so central. Restaurants all around in walking distance, along with tourist locations like Parliament Hill. Lastly, since we stayed over Christmas, the room had a chocolate santa and thank you card upon arrival. This was cute. Really enjoyed the stay.

I do feel it could have been cleaner. There was a TON of dust under the beds and the floor didn't seem mopped as it dirtied our socks. Our fridge leaked internally, so we put a washcloth inside to catch the water which was spilling throughout. Lastly, the bedroom light switch didn't work, but we were able to use the lamps independently of the light switch, so it worked out. I think it's silly that they charge ten dollars a night for a crib for our baby, so we brought a pack n play. The couch is definitely ready for replacing. The cushion was so worn down that the back of our thighs hit the front facing section and was uncomfortable.

I loved the location of the property - everything we needed was within a short walking distance. The staff were great! Check in was easy and the front desk agent was very helpful and pleasant. I also loved that it had 2 full sized washrooms, so a party of 5 getting ready wasn’t a problem.

For such a large unit, I found there wasn’t enough seating in the living room area. Some of us had to sit at the kitchen table instead. The pull out couch was extremely uncomfortable, but I do realize it’s just a pull out. The unit had a washer and dryer, which is convenient, but the hotel doesn’t supple detergent, which I thought was strange.

I liked how spacious it was in general and the very clean modern aestethic of it. Great view from the balcony aswell, loved all the amenities

the shower was a little cramped width wise, didn't understand how the garage door worked for the parking as the first time I went there the door took about 40 seconds before it opened, did not see where I could have scanned the parking pass either, going out seemed to be the same I thought I had to scan my parking pass but as soon as I went to get out of the car the door opened and on the last day someone was at the door opening it manually and checking our passes so that whole process was a bit confusing.

Location, parking, pool and most of all the suite with kitchen stocked pretty good . Six family members- having the one room with two beds is great for us- couch needs a good foam or new mattress.

That I received notice of a scheduled power outage the day we were to arrive. We have a person with a CPAP, NO A/C and our flight was leaving at 8 am. Elevator did not come and then problems, taxi was not happy waiting. Started our morning very stressful. We were on the 14th floor-our group of 11 ranged from 86-10. That is too many flights to walk even through 5 family members did with their suitcases incase they had to come back up to help the rest

Its location in the middle of town is great. We were able to just walk to the places we want. The apartment was big with one bedroom having an attached bathroom and another bathroom outside. The second bedroom was just as big and comfortable. The living room has a sofa bed if you need extra beds. The kitchen was not as well equipped with utensils though. Maybe most guests don’t cook but we did. The stove did not work when we arrived and we had to call for help. Thankfully it was corrected and we were able to finish cooking our meal. The best was the washer and dryer. It was midway through our trip and being able to wash our clothes was much welcomed.

Parking was $35!

Everything! My family felt so much at home in this hotel/apartment. The rooms are well-equipped with washer/dryer/iron/ironing board and a fully stocked kitchen. I loved the bed! My kids loved theirs as well including the pull-out. I also loved that they had a TV with dozens of channels so no need to stream. The work out facility was just like my gym at home and the pool was a bonus! It was bigger than the picture shown in the ads and it was not cold! And finally, the Rideau Centre and Art Gallery of Ottawa are literally next door with other landmarks within an easy walk.

Not much. The area does have quite a number of homeless people with a shelter just across the street. But this cannot be avoided anywhere in Ottawa these days. The hotel has excellent security precautions and we never felt threatened even when walking home in the evenings.

Location: Great Room: Very nice, we liked the crisp upgrade Bedding: Very comfortable Housekeeping Staff: Very good & very pleasant Reception: Very good Wifi: Very good

Cleanliness: Housekeeping did not vacuum the flooring during housekeeping visits (the lint & hair were all over the place); also, they did not always clean the bathtub. The flooring must be vacuumed during every housekeeping visit and the bathtubs must be cleaned during every visit.

We liked having the separate room for the kids in the same area , and not through a door away like old hotels with a joining room

Missing TV in one bedroom , temperature of main area , never really higher than 22 . I guess once we started to use the fridge with our items we never got cream or milk for coffee again .No Hand soap for the bathrooms and body wash was empty in the one bathroom , even after 2 room cleanings .... I had to leave to buy many of these items
