My stay at Auberge was perfect and exceeded my expectations, really. The location is great. The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was very clean, nicely appointed and the bed super comfortable. In the morning, I discovered that the continental breakfast is actually included which was a nice surprise and convenient. I was a bit concerned about parking but it was simple to purchase a PMR02 pass at one of the parking ticket stations just a couple of blocks away. Even with all the snow, I had no trouble finding a parking place...actually right in front of the hotel. I highly recommend the Auberge and will definitely come back to stay again.

The location is excellent, facing the northern edge of La Fontaine Park. Everyone in the staff is friendly and helpful. The room was clean and updated. Bathroom was spotless. Towels were fluffy. Toiletries provided. Thoughtful attention to detail. Although I didn’t opt for the continental breakfast, it looked well stocked and excellent. There’s coffee and tea provided 24/7. There’s a parking ticket machine located across the street from the hotel.

I cannot think of a negative. (And if you read my reviews on Booking.com, this may be a first.)

The staff was great. I loved the location because it was in a neighborhood as opposed to the touristy Old Town. We were able to walk to restaurants and shops. There is a beautiful park across the street that we did not walk through, but would love to the next time that we visit. The hotel is small and clean. It reminds me of hotels where I have stayed when traveling through Europe.

The front room was a little noisy the first night that we were there. Because we were on the top floor, it was a bit stuffy and when we opened the windows you could hear passersby and traffic. However, when the windows remained closed, it was super quiet.

This was my first time in Montreal and I was so pleasantly surprised at this charming place that was very vintage but with the right amount of modern touches. It was very clean well maintained with lovely artwork on the walls, a nice modern bathroom with brand new sink, toilet and a very roomy tub/shower. Loved the hardwood floors and the windows. It was situated right across the street from a park with restaurants, cafe's and other stores nearby.

The TV in the room had a problem with picture as it was zoomed in too large making half the image cut off. It was also a little warm but with the cool evenings and early mornings just keeping the window open helped to rectify that.

Breakfast was suitable for me and my travel companions, even though I am on a low-carb diet. There was oatmeal, cheese, boiled eggs, yogurt and fresh melon for me and bagels, pastries sweet breads, jams and granola for them. Plus loads of coffee and tea available at all hours. The location was perfect: directly across from Parc la Fontaine, a short walk from the metro stop (about 10 minutes.)

They ran out of plain oatmeal on the third day of my stay, although there was plenty of sweetened oatmeal which I could not eat. Also, I had to ask for extra towels as they weren't changed when the room was serviced, even though we stayed four nights. Still, they supplied them when asked.

The hotel is small, but it’s located in a lovely, green neighborhood very close to the city center. In the evening, you can enjoy the cool breeze in the park just across the street – it’s lively and safe. We had a very pleasant stay! We stayed in two different rooms and didn’t hear any noise at all – no neighbors or anything else that could disturb us. The beds were very comfortable, and we appreciated the robes provided in the rooms. Communication with the hotel was 100% positive – they were always helpful and quick to respond to any questions or requests. Thank you! A wonderful place to get to know Montreal better.

It was in a very cute neighborhood. There are a number of great restaurants right down the street that were easy enough to walk to. I was worried about finding parking, but I got a spot right next to the hotel and it was very easy. The room was clean and updated. Overall it was quiet. We arrived after hours and had been told to get the key out of a lockbox. But when we arrived at 21:40 a man was on duty and he got our key for us, so that was a nice surprise.

I stayed for 4 nights and on the final night there was no hot water. It may have just been timing- other guests may have just showered. But the first 3 nights it was great!

The room was beautifully decorated, designed; very quiet room as requested. Staff were VERY helpful and accommodating, mattress comfortable - not too soft. Great location - 7-10 min walk to stores, across from lovely park. Use of their communal kitchen was a game changer - very important for me! Continental breakfast was hearty enough - very good. The small 'inconveniences' below would have been uncomfortable for a person larger than myself or for 2 of us - might have just been the size of the room. Would stay here again for sure, would request larger room.

These are small things, but they affected functionality/comfort of the space. I had to unplug and re-plug a few lamps to charge devices - the outlets were inconvenient and loose/not stable. The only tiny bathroom shelf was right over the toilet - stuff on the tiny shelf fell into the toilet a few times! Tiny shower. Communication before arriving was a bit off putting - once there, communication was great.

The location was splendid, just across from Parc Lafontaine. You literally just cross the street to do your jogging. It was clean and quiet, near Mont Royal Avenue, where you can find many restaurants and boutiques. I would definitely go back.

Some of the front desk staff need additional training or more attention to detail. There was a mix-up with the rooms and names — my room was registered under a different name, which caused confusion and delays, especially when it came time to settle the bill. A nice woman resolved the issue in the end :)

Nice clean room with two Queen beds and on-suit and nice and quiet. Good to have a fridge and coffee making facilities in the room, decent size wardrobe with ironing board and iron. Very good continental breakfast and great that you have the option to make use of a fully equipped kitchen to prepare your own food, there is drip coffee in the kitchen and a variety of teas to help yourself to. Staff very friendly in particular I’d like to mention the very friendly receptionist Maha who was very informative regarding places to visit and eat and was a delight to talk to. Great location opposite Parc de la fontaine
