Perfect location. Berri metro station just steps away, as well as IGA, lots of restaurants, public library, and under 20 minutes walk to Old Port and the best of Old Montreal. You can buy hot drinks and some pastries at the hotel reception area. We enjoy the luxurious bedding, towels, and even the quality of toilet paper! Very helpful staff.
All stairs to upper floors but not a problem at all for us. The reception team is always happy to carry your luggage up and down when needed. The shower curtain gets blown towards you as you shower so it’s a bit of a struggle trying to keep it away from sticking to me.

Adam who runs the coffee shop inside the hotel and works reception was fantastic! He was super friendly and helpful and made a killer iced latte! The room was also very cute and the bed comfortable. The staff help take your luggage to your room which is great given its a steep 2 flights to the 3rd floor (no elevator). The hotel is charming and well appointed. Good value for money. Would stay here again.
A bit of a trek up to 3rd floor. Just outside old montreal so have to walk/bike/Uber to the action but I knew that when I booked and its only a 10 min bike ride so not bad. Luckily there is an electronic bike station right across the street! The bathroom in my room was a bit small (tiny counter and sink) but they make the best use of space they can. The shower was full size.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent stay – Thank you, Adam! Our experience at Hotel Le Coach in Montreal was outstanding! Adam was incredibly attentive and his level of service was truly admirable. The hotel was very clean and well-maintained. Its location is perfect for anyone attending the F1 Grand Prix – just steps away from the Metro station, and surrounded by great restaurants, convenience stores, and pharmacies. Although the hotel doesn’t have an elevator, Adam kindly helped us with our luggage both on arrival and departure. There’s no on-site parking, but we found parking options very close by.

It was conveniently located and quiet from the street. The bedding, towels, toilet paper etc were luxurious. I liked the wood floor. The room was quiet small-the photos were deceptive. It was conveniently located to the bus station and a short walk to the historic area.Adam was friendly and makes a wonderful bagel sandwich.
I was surprised at the need to give my cc# for a damage deposit. I thought it was going to be charged to my card and then refunded but it turns out it was just an authorization. Wish the walls had more sound proofing and somewhat better light in the room. The walls are rather thin and I could hear the voices coming through next door.

Great location Good size room Friendly staff, one was super happy to tell us about Montreal and where to visit from where we were. Beds were comfortable and temperature control was good. Fresh bottled water every day
Central Air system was very loud, had to sleep with earplugs. Noise from the hallways was quite loud. We were concerned about how light the blanket on the bed was and when my partner went to ask for an extra the reception said he didn't have his key and was about to leave for the night. Turned out the blanket was very good despite being light so we slept well anyway. Some areas around the dresser and fridge could do with better cleaning. Bathroom is very small and shelf in bathroom is unnecessarily long, you have to be careful not to smack your head on it while on the toilet.

1. Convenient location, 1 block from metro station, close to pharmacy, supermarket and restaurants 2. Very friendly and helpful hotel staff 3. Cleanliness
1. There is no communication between the room and reception. 2. They forgot to replenish the toilet paper. There was no shortage, but on the last night I was afraid of running out of it LOL I could have asked for it to be replenished, but I always forgot when I arrived at the hotel. Since there is no communication with room service, they always leave it for later.

Extraordinary l;ocation for a near city center hotel -- 2-3 minutes from the main subway stop for the city, 5-6 minutes from the central bus station for the intercity and local buses. Nicely restored small ( 15-16 rooms) space efficient hotel. The staff -- Alex and Mira (sp?) were great. They were so helpful providing neighborhood and city informaiton. And, the hotel has an up and coming coffee bar where specialty coffees, croissants, and fruit were available. One needs to be aware of the lack of an elevator as the staqirs would be a barrier for the mobility challenged and the rooms are on the sencond and third floors.
Lack of an elevator. I did fine; howerver, with luggage to carry and up down, this coul d be an issue.

I had a last-minute booking at this hotel due to a flight cancellation, and I was pleasantly surprised by how accommodating the staff was. The early check-in time of 2:00 PM was a great bonus, as many places tend to have later check-in times. The staff went out of their way to ensure everything went smoothly for my stay, which made me feel genuinely cared for. The room, though small, was incredibly comfortable and had everything I needed, including bottled water and a fridge. The hotel’s central location made it easy to explore the area, and the reliable Wi-Fi made staying connected a breeze. With a cozy atmosphere and top-notch cleanliness, it was a perfect spot for a solo traveler, and I would definitely stay again.
The room was a bit cramped, and while it was fine for a solo stay, I can see how it might feel tight for others. The lack of extra space might be an issue for those traveling with more luggage or companions. Additionally, while the room was cozy, the size and layout might not suit everyone’s preferences. Still, these minor drawbacks didn't detract from the overall experience, and I would gladly return for another stay.

The location is excellent for public transit and walking to a variety of great Montreal locations, such as Mont Royal, the Old Port and City, and the Plateau and Mile End. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful and combined our two bookings so we could stay in the same room for the week when we extended our stay.
Montreal is a city of stairs. Anyone with mobility challenges should be aware that the stairs to the rooms are steep and might not be suitable for someone who struggles with such.
