Fantastic central and very quiet location. Easy 3min walk to metro Berri UQAM, direct walk to The Village, or Latin Quarter or restaurants along St Catherine. Several gorgeous churches within 3 minutes walk. 15 min down to old town and the Port. Bed was very comfortable ( although why hotels have those squashy down pillows astounds me, they flatten down to nothing!) , towels changed daily by lovely staff. Room was big enough for 2 of us to spread out, even had a sofa bed couch and coffee machine. Ice machine and vending machine down stairs along with free cold water to fill up water bottles with ( we were there during a heat wave so this was a blessing). $1 coffee also.

Pillows...ugh they flatten to nothing. Unfortunately, they are the common type in hotels in Canada and USA. Bring your own if they don't suit you.

The room was very clean, had an AC unit in the window that was able to keep the room cool during a very hot time in Montreal. It's very close to one of the main metro stops which makes it very easy to get around. The area felt safe. There are a couple food options very close by for late night snacks without needing to wander too far. Make sure to check out the basement which has a really cool lounge area that looks like it used to be a bootlegging bar or something like that from the 1920s. Staff are all very friendly and it was great that we were able to store our luggage on departure day after checkout for a few hours!

The hotel is on the older more "traditional" side. Everything was turned off when we got into the room. Fridge was off, AC was off. It made it feel a bit like we were "opening" the room up for guests. The swing latch bolt for security didn't have a spot to secure on the door, so we just had the standard swipe key for security overnight.

Spacious room at an excellent location (close to downtown and a metro station). Staffs are reasonably helpful. The coffee machine at the ground floor offers reasonably good coffee at a very affordable price.

A downside of the hotel is that it doesn’t come with its own car park. However, one can first park right in front of the hotel to offload baggage, and then leave the car in an indoor parking garage nearby (~150 m) where the Hotel has reserved several spots. While this incurs additional parking charges, leaving the car indoor does help to keep the car in a better shape during harsh winter days. The housekeeper somehow skipped our room during one of the days we stayed there. After informing the reception, the housekeeper did come the next day to tidy up our room and replenished the capsules for the in-room coffee machine. There’s only one person overseeing the reception. Sometimes, one may have to wait for a few minutes for them to come back.

We liked the Van Houte cafe machine which was only $1 per 10 oz. cup. And you got to choose dark and medium beans. I really appreciated the microwave in the lobby for heating up milk. The water machine in the lobby was a bonus - cold water. My partner appreciated the lift. We had 2 windows, and we opened both of them, so we didn't have to use the A/C. The room had good blinds and curtains to shut out the light, but we did not use them The room was spacious, with drawers for clothes, and a closet - with real wooden hangars! The fridge was great, as was the hot shower. We did not use the jet tub. The lamps had outlets in the base for laptops and phones. The bed was very comfy: firm. And lots of pillows. The staff was great. They always greeted us when we came in or out. It was a great experience staying at the hotel. And during our stay, the circus festival was on St. Denis. It was great stepping out the door and seeing amazing performers for free!

Everything was fine.

Large comfortable beds, good pillows and a big room. Rooms are a little dated but they do the job. I had a couple of issues when checking in but the helpful staff member on reception resolved them quickly. Hotel is a few minutes walk to the metro and is close to the bus stop for the airport bus. The Latin Quarter is in the next road and Vieux Montreal is a 15 minute walk or 2 stops on the metro. I enjoyed my stay here and I would stay here again.

The location was excellent, allowing us to walk down to the Old Port and Old Montreal and up to the Mountain Royal Park and the Museum of Fine Arts. There were good restaurants nearby. The room was very specious and well-outfitted, and we even had an adjoining room with a spa tub and comfy chairs. The bed was very comfortable, and at night it was very quiet. The young woman at the front desk in the daytime was exceptionally helpful and welcoming.

Although the immediate area around the hotel wasn't very exciting (a lot of places were closed and a lot of homelessness in the immediate area), just a couple blocks away there were some amazing restaurants/bars, and also the metro was only a block and a half away which connected to 3 of the 4 lines. I recommend buying a pass for the metro. You can get anywhere easily and quickly.

There's no breakfast in the immediate area but that was fine. The rooms were cute but SO hot!!! We turned off the heat, had a window open and it was still very hot!!! I don't think there's AC so I couldn't imagine it in the summer!

It’s our third stay at this hotel. The location is perfect for our goals and preferences. The next door underground parking is affordable for downtown Montreal. The rooms are spacious enough and have all the necessary amenities. The king size bed is comfortable. The personnel is friendly and super helpful.

As you could read, the hotel is not new and some things could use refreshment. Nothing crucial though. Initially, we had a problem with noise because of some equipment working overnight and causing noise and vibration. Also, their window ACs are quite noisy as well. Fortunately, they changed our room next day and the rest of our stay was pleasant.

Great location, close to the old town, and also to one of the main metro stations where several lines are accessible. Walking distance from airport to city '747' bus stop. Front desk staff were very friendly. The furnishings are dated, but everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. Access to storage room for cases on the last day was really useful. Wifi and room TV worked well.

The furnishings are fairly old/worn but this didn't really matter as we were out and about in the city. The bed/mattress was comfortable.

The hotel was just outside the Latin quarter/little Portugal so there were lots of eateries nearby. The room itself was big, great shower, solid wifi and a comfortable bed. There was no air con, just a thermostat for the radiator and openable windows. TBH, I only used the blanket for sleeping rather than the main bedding. The room also came with a coffee machine which I only used on the last day

There were a few unsavoury types late at night in the neighbourhood so would offer caution to more vulnerable travellers. Also the soft drinks from the vending machine were flat; think they’d expired.
