The rooms are quite large for Beijing centre hotel and is located 3 mins walk from the Beijing Railway metro (Line 2). It has good connections to all the places of attractions and Exit B is nearest to the hotel. The rooms were cleaned daily with fresh silky linens and all bath towel replaced. The hotel foyer is quite impressive with marble flooring and a baby grand piano. We asked reception to book a metered taxi to take us to the airport and it arrived within 4 minutes, which was very impressive. There are lots of noodle shops nearby and if you come out from Exit A you will find a large convenient store for snack and water at very reasonable prices.

The rooms were quite warm despite setting the temperature to cool. We had to ask for the windows which were locked to be open for air circulation and even then it was quite hot. It would be excellent if the hotel provided portable fans to cool the room down during warm Spring weather. We didn't try the breakfast because it was quite expensive at RMB128 per person. A big bowl of beef soup noodle from outside would typically cost ~ RMB36-42 per person. There should be a preferential rate for hotel guests to allow them to try the restaurant.

During early check-in, one of the receptionists refused to check us into a room. When booking, I indicated in advance that I needed early check-in. He suggested waiting for check-in for almost 5 hours in the lobby. He said that all the rooms were occupied. After 10 minutes, I approached another receptionist and he quickly offered a free room for an additional fee. This means that the first employee refused to help me and lied about the rooms being occupied.

Excellent location outside a subway exit for Beijing Train Station Good soundproofing. My large window faced the inner courtyard and I basically had no traffic noise. The Chinese restaurant is decent when it's not closed for events. Small supermarket one block away (facing train station) for buying fruit.

Chinese restaurant was closed for a conference, and the other restaurant only had Western food. The refrigerator is "room temperature" and cannot be used for refrigerating leftovers. No cover outside when getting into a taxi, so you get wet in the rain. No service people outside to help you get into the right taxi. I had some issues that required maintenance work. Would have been better if that had been done before I arrived. Note that Chinese name is Bao Chen Hotel. People know this in English as Paragon Hotel (versus Howard Johnson Paragon Hotel.) Prices can jump a lot if you decide to extend your stay if they are almost full.

The location was perfect. Only 2 mins walking distance to the subway station. It was also just across the road from the train station. It was super convenient if you came to Beijing by the bullet train. Staff were nice and helpful. The room was spacious with high quality beddings which were very comfortable. Kids loved the meal delivery bot too. It was cute and fun.

Compared with other hotels, the only downside of Howard Johnson was no available VPN in the room. As I was unable to access Gmail in China. It was so inconvenient for me to check in upcoming flights online, monitor flight change status or liaise with my next accommodation etc. Just stayed for 4 nights and I was recommended to purchase VPN myself.

Overall everything is great. Here are some of the things I like. You can order delivery food and tell the delivery man to deliver it to the hotel staff with your room number, of course. The delivery robot will come to your room. The room is also very clean and they provide enough amenities everyday. Location is also great which is just a few minutes walk from Beijing Train Station and subway.

The only thing I did not like is the rooms were not sound proof. By that I meant, I can clearly hear the shower water sound from the other room. And the closing of the door from the surrounding rooms was so noisy that it was difficult to sleep one night because the people in the nearby rooms are opening and closing the doors again and again after the midnight, though they stop doing that when we asked the front desk to tell them to keep quiet.

Our family of four stayed five nights in a spacious family suite. It was a lovely appointed space with ample room for everyone and very comfy beds. Super breakfast was available with lots of choices. Excellent central location, close to the main Beijing Railway Station, Starbucks and Waggas. Well-equipped gym onsite with 24-hour access. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Clark and Larry. Clark was very attentive and arranged an excellent tour to The Great Wall of China that we all thoroughly enjoyed and helped us find our departing train.. Larry was our Floor Manager who gave us a tour of the facilities. He went out of his way to help us find a guitar shop to buy a travel guitar for our son. Thank you everyone for a wonderful stay.

Great stay overall! The hotel is in a very good location, close to major attractions and public transport. The rooms were clean and comfortable, making it a relaxing stay. The breakfast was also very good, with a nice variety of options to start the day. Would definitely recommend!

The hotel has a great location and clean rooms, but the Wi-Fi was terrible throughout our stay. It was slow, unreliable, and often completely unusable, which made it very frustrating, especially for anyone needing to work or stay connected. This really affected the overall experience. Hope the hotel improves this in the future

The hotel is in an excellent location well connected by the Circular Metro Station just outside the hotel as well as Beijing main Railway Station. The room was very comfortable and has a lot of space, very clean. Water bottles provided every day and with a kettle and a minibar it was a perfect room. The shower had nice water pressure and hot water as well

Sometimes if the neighboring room occupants are loud you can hear a little bit but not that discomforting. When having a shower with the high pressure the water would collect before it drains not a discomfort but for the plumbing to check out

As a foreigner, with limited language, we were stuck at a strange location at 3 am unable to call for a taxi and public transport did not work. We called the hotel if they could pick us up as we were trying for over 2 hours. Luckily the night shift manager, Jack, found a solution for us and picked us up! We are very grateful that he was able to do this!!! I would recommend this place due to the hospitality of the staff.

The location is unbeatable: right outside the metro station, you can spot the hotel as soon as you step out! We booked two rooms: one for my parents, and one for myself and my child. Our room was on the 10th floor, directly facing Beijing Railway Station. Watching the constant flow of people coming and going each day was surprisingly relaxing. The room was spacious (definitely larger than the average hotel room in Beijing). The decor was modern and pleasant. Breakfast is served in a café within the hotel building, with a good variety of options that change daily. (Though I wish they had the delicious pumpkin pancakes more often—sadly, they were only available on the first day!) It’s also very convenient for hosting international guests—more than half of the hotel’s guests seemed to be foreigners during our stay, which made everything feel welcoming and international. Overall, a very enjoyable and convenient stay. Would definitely recommend!
