The room was spacious and comfortable. Housekeeping was excellent and accommodated my request for additional water and coffee sachets. I stayed for 10 nights, linen was changed during the stay, additional slippers were placed in my room. The laundry service was great.

There was a slightly unpleasant smell coming from the toilet from the moment I entered the bathroom. Although I would put the Aircon on a high/warm temp, the actual room temperature never went above 22 degrees. I ended up leaving the Aircon off so the room could be warm however, I requested an extra blanket and this was brought immediately.

Shanghai has two awesome sections: the more historic Puxi and this was in Pudong which is the newer part (or east side) of Shanghai. The hotel was nicely situated, within 30 minute MAGLEV and sub-way ride from Pudong International Airport, and between two subway (metro) stations easily accessible within 5-7 minute walk. If you have Alipay or some other system you could also rent bikes outside then Hotel. The lobby was spacious and welcoming, the staff courteous (although only one of two were fluent in English considering this is American Hotel Chain). and the cleaning Robot was functional novelty that at time rode the elevator with you. My room was well light had a great view. The amenities were nice nothing special, but importantly the bathroom was clean, with fresh nice linens, and spacious separate shower stall with rain shower in addition to a handheld shower head. The complimentary coffee/tea and 4 bottles of Aquafina water was a nice touch. Closet with plenty of space, central light controls and a comfy bed made it a wonderful stay. The breakfast was nice with Continental/American and traditional Chinese fare. I particularly liked the coffee machine with very high quality coffee beans and excellent cappuccino and Latte. I will be definitely staying here again. Friendly staff overall. XièXiè

The bathroom door was quite worn out in the bottom due to moisture and age, and so some sort of upgrade would be nice. At times at the breakfast buffet they would run out of fresh fruits and the staff were very slow in replenishing it and sometimes they never did especially if it was past 9 AM.

Staff were super patient and friendly while we figured out payment (didn't have Wechat and Alipay wasn't working for us). Staff offered late checkout as we were IHG members which was a godsend coz we were so tired. All smiles all the time.

Actually nothing much just that maybe we couldn't find toothbrush in the washroom but perhaps this was a green initiative.

The hotel was quite impressive due to its size and it had a prime location, close to the main city centre. The beds were very comfy, and the room had all the essentials. Also, we were amazed by the views of the city from the hotel window and the abundance of breakfast. It was delicious and had so many options to choose from of various cuisines!

The staff were very kind and welcoming but they didn't speak English at all (even at the reception). The only person who spoke good English was the concierge. However, we didn't like the fact he expected tips for just booking a taxi. Also, the room Wi-Fi was quite poor, and we didn't have access to Google, Facebook, or Messenger, but I assume it's not the hotel's fault, but rather the country specification.

Concierge guys that help with taxi and luggages, they rock. Always so helpful Breakfast is amazing

Reception staff and the housekeeper I accidentally left my iPhone charger in the room during the checking out. I came back right after couple of hours and asked if the housekeeper saw my charger, the answer was nothing was in room, they didn’t even check, just was busy doing their routine job.

The booking, check in and check out are easy. The staff is with good attitude and helpful. The facilities are in good condition and comfortable to stay in. The breakfast provided are with variety of choices. The surrounding of the hotel is quiet and peaceful. There are convenience stores and few restaurants around the hotel area. Near to Metro station as well.

Nothing. We are satisfied with the stay.

We enjoyed the hotel room and desk space. Some of the staff don’t have good English so had to use translation apps to talk but they were accomodating for us. Our first room’s AC didn’t work so we got moved to another room which was nice of them. The buffet breakfasts were great, huge selection of food to choose from.

What I most enjoyed about this hotel is the joyful staff members, specially Ms Selena. She not only has a professional and formal approach but she also has a lively kind personality and a good sense of humour. Ms Selena answered all my queries with precision and a smile. It’s always good to see that in the morning.

language barrier, making communication pretty difficult. Unfortunately I am only fluent in English and yeah, the struggle was real Unless if English speaking customers are not visiting the hotel much, adding one or two fluent English speakers may help

Location was good, quiet place, nearby convenient stores (Family Mart), 5-10mins walk to nearest Metro station line which is able to reach directly to city centre. Staff is friendly and very helpful, kudos to Alice.
