Outstanding location for us. We could step out onto the surrounding streets and explore beautiful shops, eyeopener malls, restaurants. Always felt safe. The hotel staff were professional, empathetic and excellent ambassadors for their employer and China. We chose it because it was a original mansion, so much character and the new addition related well. A delightful garden with outdoor seating a treasure. Delicious substantial breakfast. Absolutely no noise could be heard in our room. The price was very good value.

Drivers found it difficult to locate the Mansion on their electronic maps so we always used Novel Building ? opposite as our pick up. Given that we booked for six nights we were taken aback and dismayed to discover that our Superior Double Room although beautifully appointed had frosted windows.

The location was in an interesting area. The hotel was very quiet. Nice decorated.

It seems, that there are not often non chinese speaking guests. English conversation was difficult with the women at the reception. An english guideline might be helpful. Breakfast was a little bit unorganised too. Nice designed rooms, but not enough space to leave the luggage.We decided to take a bigger room for a higher price

All things and stuffs. It was equipped totally complete and the breakfast liked much as a traditional and some western styles can be chosen for self appetite.

Nothing. Everything was really liked. Honestly, we don't have to say anything bad ones. Room cleaning and staffs are timely. No one cannot speak foreign languages perfect especially in English but its Okay. It's totally nonsense.

Perfect location with nice shops en bars. However hotel is quiet, because it lies a little behind the main street. Friendly personell. Good bed. Would certainly go there again.

Unfortunatly they do not speak English. Rooms are rather small.

The rooms are detached from the main structure as in a motel, so you need to walk outdoor. The windows are really tiny

It has historic shanghai vibes and quiet, cozy it is really near everything, the metro is in 10m

Unfortunately my room was without big windows and most of the staff didn’t speak english
