It was clean and comfortable, short walk from the Lujiazui subway station.

The cleaning staff are very strange. I had placed an empty bottle on the table, it's not the average mineral water bottle belonging to the ones that the hotel complimentarily provides, it's a different looking bottle that is empty but has a souvenir value because I had bought it from the national museum in Beijing and it has a special label. I deliberately placed it on the countertop away from the bin, expecting the staff to not treat it as trash. Who throws away bottles that are on the table?! I came back to my room to find it gone. Another time, a staff kept knocking on my door and even attempted to open it when my DND light was on, asking if it needs to be cleaned. Aren't all staff trained to recognise the indicative lights outside first?

It's location is good, just 6 minutes walk from the train station and 45 mins cab ride from Pudong Airport. it's right next to a shopping mall which is convenient if you're traveling as a family. There're few art museums in the vicinity and bike sharing facilities around the area. The room was big and clean with a big bathtub and shower. The swimming pool was great but not too big. The sauna and steam room were nice and well equipped, overall 5 star common facilities.

The room and amenities are old style. It all work good and clean but it'd be great if they can update some amenities like the toilet and Slippers. They don't have any amenities for baby and toddler, all they can provide is child toothbrush and toothpaste and some baby shampoo. It's not baby friendly.

Had a wonderful stay at the Pudong Shangri-La, we were made to feel very welcome when we arrived. We stayed on the Horizon club floors which had access to the Lounge and other facilities. The hotel rooms were clean and spacious, and there were good options for breakfast with asian and western cuisine available. Special thanks to Kenny and others from the Horizon lounge concierge service, helping out with all sorts of request, especially booking places and activities, which needed a local Chinese number to use for reservation. Would definitely visit again. The hotel is in a good location with easy access to a lot of the main tourist sites and the metro isn’t too far which cater for both line 2 and line 14.

Appreciated the upgrade to a Bund view room. Room was good size, very clean, the bathroom in particular was luxurious and well appointed with nearly anything you could need. Well lit, comfortable bed, nice pillows, robes, slippers, enough charging for USB and outlets. Appreciated the water bottles, too. Luggage storage was great.

Music from the street could be easily heard on the 10th floor. Check in person did not give clear instructions. I bought breakfast with the room. Person who took me to a table took me to a back restaurant with few offerings, though both dining areas were available. Staff could not keep up with the tables, though many would have been available, they were not clean. The back area had maybe 1/10 of the offerings.

The hotel is great. This is the first hotel where I could not find any faults with the room and the bathroom. They thought about everything! The attention to detail is amazing. For eg; I always complain about not having enough hooks to hang towels; not in this hotel. I always gripe about not having enough space to lay out the toiletries; not in this hotel. They even have a small shelf over the toilet paper holder to place your phone or whatever. I always gripe about having a bath tub without a glass enclosure or curtain which leads to water going everywhere; not here. They have a bath tub and a separate shower. So no problem with water running everywhere. They even have small holder in the closet to put your ties! Talk about attention to detail! The hotel is in a great location within a few steps to the TV tower and other attractions. It is also an easy walk across to the “bund” on the other side of the river from here (more on the bund in another post). There are also two shopping malls just a few steps away for your shopping needs. The metro is also a very short 5 mins walk which takes you to from/to airport. Line 2 is a direct route from airport to Lujiazui area where the hotel is located. Most of the metro stations have elevators and escalators so it’s very convenient even if you have large luggage. The fare is 8 Yuan per person; unbelievable cheap and the trip takes about 35mins (more on the metro in another post). The staff at the hotel were great and always greeted me every time I walked by the lobby and in the elevator and very helpful. Even though not everyone spoke English, most of them knew some basic English to help you with your needs. However, for more detailed or complex discussions, you most probably have to look for someone who is fluent in English. But there’s always someone around. The place is very clean and well maintained except the carpets in the rooms may need to be replaced. They were not bad but looked worn out.

The room was quite spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Super clean as you can expect for a hotel of this standing. Great view from the room too. The breakfast was amazing, with a fantastic choice of international or Asian food. The location is handy, not far from the subway if needed and close to several spots too. I also loved the smell you gat as soon as you enter the massive lobby.

Not much to say there.

Breakfast is excellent with lot of choices. The food is fresh and tasty. The room is cosy with confortable bed and a nice and fonctional bathroom. If you are lucky you can get the view of the bund or better the view of the oriental pearl tower, the hotel is located close to mall, subway station and attractions.

Prices of restaurant and in room dining is high. There is no affordable option inside the hotel. Hopefully there is plenty outside.

The room was spacious, and the toilet was very clean.

I didn't like the amount of deposit collected per room per day. It was exorbitant and unnecessary. The hotel should revise the amount and make it blocked rather than charge as it caused me to lose on the exchange rate unnecessarily.

Very well maintained and high quality hotel，the stuffs were very helpful and friendly. The view is magnificent. I will come back again!

The breakfast can be improved, the quality of the Chinese food was not so good. For example, the noodles and the toppings are not representative and the quality is average. 油条and 煎饺 were cold and not fresh.
