Since I’m a member of Marriott Bonvoy, of course, I chose this magnificent hotel. I arranged a transfer from the train station to the hotel in a luxurious S-class vehicle — the ride took 40 minutes. I was greeted like a VIP 😊 The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong offers a luxurious urban retreat with breathtaking views of the Huangpu River and The Bund. Guests can enjoy premium amenities, including an indoor pool and a world-class spa. The hotel itself exudes luxury and comfort — you feel completely at home. Their customer service is absolutely outstanding!!! I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the hotel staff for treating me like a VIP, for every little detail and thoughtful touch. A special thanks to Yana, you are a wonderful person. Thank you for your dedication, and thanks to the universe for bringing us together. I will always remember the time I spent there! The hotel gave me exclusive gifts, noticed subtle details in my look, and wrote me warm wishes that brought tears to my eyes! I highly recommend this hotel — if you are in Shanghai, this is the only place to stay. You won’t regret it!

Honestly, there was nothing I didn’t like. Everything exceeded my expectations — from the service and comfort to the atmosphere and attention to detail. It was a flawless stay.

We recently stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic experience overall. The location is ideal, close to all the main attractions and easy to access. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring every detail of our stay went smoothly. The service was top-notch, with quick responses to any requests and a genuine effort to make guests feel comfortable.

The only minor point I would mention is that the rooms could benefit from a slight update. While they were clean and well-maintained, a few modern touches and refurbishments would make them even more comfortable. Nonetheless, this didn’t detract much from our stay, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a wonderful experience!

Room designed very meticulously, the usage of the products, designs, view, all the details were perfect. Feel like you are special. Location was more then perfect. Exactly inside the heart of the city. Breakfast was great, even for Europeans. And staff, everybody were very polite, helpful, know what to do.

Wifi didnt work on my laptop, but worked on my mobiles. It was in 26th Nov when I stayed there, the weather was around 8-10 degrees during the day and almost 0-1 degree at nights. But the air conditioning was still in Summer Mode. So it was not heating. I asked to reception twice and got a funny answer that it will turn to Winter Mode below 10 degrees while it was exactly 8 degrees at that time. I weared my coat during my stay all night and asked for seperate heater which at least made the room warmer.

The hotel room is absolutely fantastic! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the elegant decor, spacious layout, and stunning views. The plush bed promises a restful sleep, and the modern amenities—like the high-speed Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, and sleek coffee machine—make the stay more comfortable. The bathroom is luxurious, with soft towels and premium toiletries. Every detail has been thoughtfully designed, creating a perfect blend of comfort and style. I couldn't be happier with this wonderful retreat. The staff are very, very helpful and understanding. They seem to know everything that we required.

I don't even have an item that I wouldn't like.

I was so happy to see your assistant manager Ashin, she always exceeds our expectation, always so professional and happy. A thank you to Max, Jessi and Zarina. and oh my word i will miss Julia on floor 49. she is such a graceful young lady. And Jerri on 49th floor should be the head manager on floor 49. nothing is impossible for Jerri, he is intelligent and kind. and very proactive.

we booked into a pano suite room, and the interleding door to our connecting room was damaged! could not open at all. the room was not prepared for our arrival, then we had to wait 30mins for maintenance to come and fix the door to open it for my mother to sleep in. there was no good feeling entering our room, no fresh small flowers. very different to our stay in January 2024. i think its because Irena checked us in our room in January. I was so sorry to hear that she has left the company. but anyways Ashin made our stay very pleasant. Ashin should be head guest relations manager.

I could see Orient Pearl Tower right from the window and view lovely at night location maybe a 20 mins to desired place well is ok with me but hope more malls will be great and its a very beautiful hotel and rooms love it and cozy and chic

Hope they have more casual boutiques and traidition chinese tea rooms for afternoon tea so need not have to go out the hotel so can enjoy some chinese classical music along will be so perfect traditional chinese snacks too

First of all, the view is breathtaking. The breakfast is the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. There's variety of interesting bars and restaurants (of course a bit overpriced, but what would you expect from 5 stars hotel). The room is cleaned twice a day, and they give you a lot of bottled water (it's important to stay hydrated!).

I personally didn't like the location: it's business district, so there are only offices and shopping malls there. So you'll need to cross the river every time you want to explore Shanghai. However if your target is shopping then it's perfect because there are some great shopping malls nearby (and one is located in the same building). The furniture is a bit old and has visible signs of use, although it's clean and functioning.

Luxury feeling when we entered the hotel and the room. The staff is professional and friendly. The facilities are top-notch. The view from the room was remarkable.

The bed and pillow were not comfortable (bed was hard, pillow was too soft). The smoke detect system was blinking for a whole night. There were so many mirrors in the room. Therefore our sleep was not great!
