The location is great. The staff is professional and kind. The buffet breakfast was good. The beds were comfortable. The security is over and beyond. Too much in certain incidences. :) The Maki Sushi restaurant on site is wonderful.

The tea selection is not good at breakfast. A national tea brand at a 5-star hotel isn't adequate. Considering it's a Spanish chain, one would assume European teas would be provided. The rooms are outdated for a 5-star hotel, and the shower drain kept clogging. We called once to rectify this issue, but it wasn't resolved. I used the hotel cab service to go to the airport. The ride was safe and clean. My only issue was that the driver kept asking about being paid before arriving at the airport. I had assured him that I was paying cash. The distrusting culture is a sad reality.

The beds and breakfast are the best!!

I had 3 members of my family come over to open some gifts in the room, as we were visiting for a few days. They have a policy I was never informed of, that states anyone visiting (rooms) after 10pm needs to pay a fee of 100 pesos. Which seemed unfair as having someone stay the night is 119 pesos. We had to open the gifts in the lobby which was awkward and not private at all, seemed unfair for the price paid to have a short visit. And they claim is for security but it is a rip off. And they should inform that at check in…

The best thing about this hotel was the breakfast; there was an unlimited buffet with many delicious options. It is in a good location in the north of the city, near one of Bogota's most significant and well-known shopping malls (Unicentro). My room was spacious and clean, and the bed was huge and comfortable. The facilities had a vintage design but were well-conserved and clean. The staff was very kind and helpful with my requests and questions. Definitely, it's the fanciest hotel that I've ever visited for now!

The shower in my room took a long time to drop hot water, and it was challenging to set the water temperature. I'd have liked to watch movies using my own Netflix or Disney+ account or listen to music using my Spotify, but the TV was too old to do it; it'd be great if the room had a smart TV or a smart speaker to pair with my phone. I had forgotten to bring a phone charger; I tried to borrow it, but the hotel didn't have one.

The building was truly an architectural marvel, with multiple plazas to walk through, several large outdoor courtyards, and a seamless blend into modernity while still maintaining a “historical” feel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The included breakfast was complete and delicious.

The elevator from the main lobby to the rooms was tiny and could barely fit my wife and I and our luggage at the same time.

Beautiful structure, clean, staff sometimes flexible although at times can't think outside the box on stuff that requires common sense. More concerned about protocol

Room AC not working. Was told breakfast was included. However, ordered DECAF COFFEE and the staff informed me that I had to pay for it because equipment was used to make it. I was informed juices, coffee etc were part of breakfast.

We stayed for 9 nights. The experience was truly wonderful. A lovely hotel with attentive and professional staff. A great location and with good security. Felt very safe in this hotel. The room was a nice size with wonderful mahogany, I think, solid wooden fixtures. A walk in shower but I would have preferred a shower to include a handset and a flexible hose. The room can get cold at night as no heating but I did see a member of staff transporting some portable electric radiators. We especially looked forward to the breakfast in the restaurant with the lovely staff many of whom worked in the same venue which serves as an Italian restaurant from around midday, I think. There is also a gym, sauna, massage and hairdresser on site. The staff in the hotel all wear smart uniforms and this adds to the feel that we were in a special hotel. When we approached the staff we found that nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The restaurant could be serving international food rather than just Italian.

The Hotel Estelar Fontana pretends to be a ***** Hotel. The architecture, layout is refreshing. Even with low occupancy you don’t feel lost. The rooms, bathrooms are ample and well equipped. The junior staff is on their learning curve. Excellent value for USD 100/night through Booking. Breakfast is lavish, made to order. Unfortunately they can’t cook. Room service meals or Asian food at the Bar are disappointing.

Food is well below standard. Room service meals are deplorable.

The best. Waitress and waiters were excellent. They did not use the word no.

Requested repair for our TV with gentelman at front desk, and did not get it done, had to ask a second time

Though a 30-minute drive from the historic center of Bogota, this is a wonderful, safe, modern hotel in a low-built walkable, commercial neighborhood. We actually preferred staying here and visiting the La Candelaria neighborhood vs. staying in that neighborhood.

Great rooms, helpful staff, substantial breakfast, three good on-premise dining options.

Breakfast was so good. You can have traditional food and fruits. The location is very convenient, Had Unicentro mall is a hit. Rooms were very comfy.

Just a suggestion, if the rooms can have USB charger plugs, it can be better. Current plugs were next to the lamps, and it was not easy to connect my charger. Rooms light was a bit dark, there were only lamps.
