This is a gem of a place for those who don’t mind walking 8 minutes to a very frequent city bus or 25 minutes to the Old City. We liked the walks which go by a grocery store, pastry shop, and free public beach. We also walked 30 minutes and back to Port Gruz for a tour which was a bit more strenuous but enjoyable. The apartment itself is small but has everything you need with two twin beds, kitchenette, sitting room and porch with a gorgeous view just like the photos show. The property managers were great, answering every inquiry sent by Booking.com message promptly and Josip kindly arranged efficient transfers to and from the airport with the driver waiting there for us even though our plane was an hour late. You can’t go wrong with Kate’s Place if you don’t mind being a little bit away from Old Town.

We had a lovely stay here, and even in late October we made good use of the balcony. Vesna was kind enough to pick us up at the bus station and showed us "everything". The flat was light and airy with a sofa as well as table and chairs in the kitchen/sitting room. We had everything we needed in the kitchen – except for the plug for the sink! It is in a very peaceful part of the city. There are some small shops not far from the flat.

The wifi was a bit shaky at times - especilly out on the balcony. The home page said a 20 minutes walk to the city centre. It is more like 30!

It's for the first time that the pictures of accommodation are inferior to reality. The view is breathtaking. And then, Kate... wonderful person. Everything is great. The location is perfect: close to the beach, supermarket, and good restaurants. The old city is at a walkable distance. We appreciated the air-conditioned: very, very silent and efficient.

We stayed in the two room apartment (living room with kitchen,,bedroom, 2 bathrooms). We liked how spacious it is, it has two TVs which is great, a well equipped kitchen and a great terrace. It's a short walk to the nearest beach but a ride with bus/taxi is necessary to reach Old Town in high temperatures. It has a great sea view although very quiet. The host was very hospitable.

The apartment has small flaws which could easily be fixed: some chairs are falling apart (2 to be exact in the kitchen), the bed is a bit squeeky and given the size of the terrace it could have more comfortable chairs. The worst thing for me personally is that smoking is apparently allowed in this apartment so as a non-smoker I smelled it quite a lot, but the good air flow and air conditioning fixed that. You really should try to prevent people smoking with signs. And the shower needs a replacement - what good is a "fancy massage shower" if it doesn't work and looks like it's from the 70s. Change it with a regular working shower.

We stayed there for 3 nights and it was an amazing stay right on the sea. The key handover was very smooth and Kristian told us everything we needed to know about the apartment and also about local travels and restaurants. The old town is just 20mins walk and the nearest super market is around 6mins walk. The apartment and view is far better than the pictures.

Great location, close enough to the center and to supermarkets and restaurants. It's really comfortable for 3 people, it has all the kitchen and bath appliances. Great attention and communication from the staff, and good price.

Location was excellent - uninterrupted views of the sea; 5 min walk to beaches - one rocky and the other shingle, with fantastic snorkelling (Bellevue); quiet area but within easy walking distance of old town Apartment was clean, well equipped and air conditioned. Balcony was a fantastic feature, Host was helpful and thoughtful; she lives in the apartment building and so is on hand for questions and advice if needed

Kitchen space a little small, but functional. A toaster would have been useful too.

View was amazing. Lots of space in the apartment and everything we needed. Balcony is great to sit out, eat breakfast and chill out in the evening.

Some might find it a distance from the old town - but we enjoyed the walk so it depends on what you want.

Images provided at time of booking were slightly misconceiving, made out there was two bedrooms one with two singles and one with double. We ended up sleeping on the sofa bed in living room as there was only two of us it was ok but just not how I expected it.

Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Kate was lovely and gave us great directions to the old town and local restaurants. Lovely view.

A bit of a walk to the main road , bus, shop and a 25 min walk into the old town. It was particularly hot , 38 degrees so we felt every step but on a cooler day it would have been fine.
