Location and facilities

Excellent property overall. My only take is about the staff at the pool counter. Many complaints about the way they deal and address the hotel residence. Management is required to seriously look into this shortfall.

The location was very ideal and also how it was positioned with the President hotel. Pool had more than enough chairs and enjoyed the saunas as well as the indoor pool. Loved the live bands each night and the atmosphere. The buffet in the morning and evening was also great. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Would recommend to a friend.

When cleaning the rooms we noticed the ground wasn’t vacuumed. Furthermore I feel like a complimentary bottle of water each day with the cleaning of the room would have been nicer. With checking in, it would have been nice to have a map of the area since we only found out about the Maro World trampolines etc at the end of our stay. The golf cart shuttle service would have also been nicer if it was riding more often but this is a small thing. I feel like the buffet dinner was slightly overpriced being 35EUR with the a La Carte being 55EUR. Also I don’t understand why we have to pay 15EUR for a sunbed if we are already staying at the Valamar La Crome hotel. Even though it’s part of the President hotel I found it very surprising to hear that.

The hotel is situated outside the city center where the tourist attractions are. But the #6 bus is right outside the hotel and conveniently drops us off at the "Old town." It's a big, modern, generic "4-star" hotel like the ones in many American cities. Comfortable but devoid of character. The staff are often busy and overwhelmed with many tour groups, so don't expect any personalized service.

Avoid the dinner buffet even if you're starving! At 35 euros, it was a nightmare of quantity over quality. Everything, meat, fish, veggies, pasta, etc, was overcooked, bland and unappetizing. So much to choose from, but nothing was yummy. The atmosphere was stressful, swarming with hundreds of people from tour groups. There was so much food wasted, which is what happens when the food, though plentiful, just tastes awful! The "free" breakfast was also of poor quality. Runny scrambled eggs and long lines to get coffees at the coffee machines.

The location is okay, but a bit away from the beach, city (pretty full busses - the busstop right across the corner) and stores. The hotel itself is good and clean, the staff is very, very friendly and it has all services you could need.

Breakfast and dinner were good, there was plenty of choice, but when the hotel advertises with vegan friendliness, there could be more options for breakfast and especially dinner (someone eating plant based would like something else than some nuts and fruit for dinner - a soup can easily be plantbased). The variety the chefs pulled with regard to tofu dishes was very good though!

- Excellent breakfasts with a wide variety of options. - The staff was incredibly helpful, caring, and attentive throughout our stay. -The spa facilities were amazing and provided a great way to relax and unwind. -The hotel's private beach was fantastic, offering a peaceful and enjoyable experience. - The location was convenient, with a short 15-minute bus ride to the old town of Dubrovnik.

The bathroom could benefit from renovation, as it seemed outdated or in need of some improvements.

The sea view from the balcony. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The bed was big and comfortable. The scenery and beautiful views of the sunset. While I prefer smaller, boutique style hotels, the staff were so nice and the location is so lovely that I would stay here again.

The shower ran hot and cold throughout our 3 day stay. The hotel is huge and the buffet breakfast and dinner were not intuitively arranged. Due to the buffet style layout food was, therefore, prepared promptly but not made to order which is not my personal preference. The pool was very busy. We tend to enjoy smaller, boutique hotels and while this wasn’t our cup of tea, I recognise that this hotel does provide the resort style experience very well.

The room was kindly upgraded when we arrived having a sea view and balcony. The room and bathroom was clean and it came with coffee/tea service and wine cellar. The breakfast and dinner were buffet style and there were a variety of food and choices. The service was included to access to the swimming pool both outside and inside, as well as Moro World, the play ground facility for kids. There is the bus stop 2 min walk from the hotel taking directly to the Old Town. The stay was comfortable and it worths more than the price (we stayed in May).

The small fridge wasn't cold at all to keep things cool. The glass next to the shower leaked a lot of water and it made a big puddle after the shower. We notified the reception about the leakage and the next day the plumber came to check the situation to fix it. We stayed 3 nights and everyday the room cleaner came to take away the used bath towels but they didn't replace the new towels so we had to ask for the new ones every time.

Very nice location, with a good transportation (bus 6) to old town. Amazing breakfast (the best I have ever seen) !!! Thank you for the free upgrade!!! The room was exceptional!!!! Truly appreciated!!!

Immaculately clean. Many options for dining and drinking. The buffet breakfast and dinner were exceptional - so much choice and great quality. Liked the variety of entertainment on the terrace every night. Loved the view from the terrace - fabulous sunsets over the islands.

On the whole it is a great hotel with great facilities. Not much to complain about. One observation is that, from a ‘kerb appeal’ point of view, it looks a bit like a prison block with the use of the metal bars down the rear.

The staff were amazing, I put in a special request to write a message to my partner in petals on the bed - and they did! Also leaving Happy Birthday alcoholic beverage with a message which was truly lovely. They completely exceeded my expectations with this. They also left another alcoholic drink on his actual birthday which was unexpected. You could tell that the staff/management really cared about the customers staying at their hotel. Transport buses to the Old Town were every 7 minutes, which was amazing! I've never come across a more efficient/convenient transport link before. Wish I had this back home!

The decoration of the room was average however was very clean. The least satisfying thing about the stay at the hotel not the hotel itself but the beach - once you walk down to the beach which is shared exclusively among the Valamar Hotels, you have to pay to rent the sunbeds! Which was a total surprise, and not cheap either. I've never stayed at a hotel that you have to rent a sunbed on the private hotel beach. Also there is a section for the same type of sunbeds but in a "VIP" section which was sitting a metre from the other sunbeds, which a piece of rope separating which I found baffling.
