Our room was very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was big and clean. Villa Desideria is well located. Breakfast in the restaurant next to the hotel was very good and the staff there very friendly.

Balcony/patio was mentioned in facilities and among the photos of our type of hotel room there was also a photo of a small balcony. Lack of own balcony was a tiny disappointment but not a big matter.

Location was brilliant to Split Old Town and waterfront. A lady was waiting for us on arrival and the Restaurant below kindly looked after our bags after checking out. Good communication re picking up key. Accommodation was clean and authentic. Towels replaced daily. Bins emptied daily. complimentary sweets outside of property with an alcoholic beverage (not sure what it was though). The restaurant below the accommodation was very good too.

Not enough towel hanging space in bathroom. Not keen on a frosted glass door to bathroom. With husband for over 25 years but personally I prefer privacy in the bathroom. Breakfast a bit disappointing. Only a small bowl of melon, no other fruit. No yoghurt. No obvious option to be able to order an omelette if wanted.

We had 2 rooms that were perfect for our overnight transit stay. Walking distance of town, beach, port and bus station. Air con was essential. One of our rooms was on the first floor and was perfect. The second room was on the first floor and was above a bar. The noise did affect our ability to sleep but once the bar closed it was peaceful. I struggled to work out how to make contact with the owner through booking.com but luckily there was a phone number on the door so we called when we arrived. It would have been a comfort to have made contact in advance but all turned out ok in the end.

We had three rooms booked and were met at the property by Lara who was lovely and very helpful. Location of the rooms was excellent, beds were very comfortable. Rooms were spacious. Small shared area on landing with table and chairs. Selection of teas available and kettle in room. Breakfast made to order omelettes were very good. The hosts made my birthday celebration with friends feel special.

We stayed for four nights. We had expected rooms to be made up each day. Fresh towels were provided, waste baskets emptied. Beds not made up, shower gel not replenished, cups and glasses not washed up. Teas not replenished. The breakfast room was tiny and awkward to access food and drinks, especially on wet days when guests could not sit outside. Often rather crowded as guests other than Villa Desideria use the facility

My first impression was that the hotel (from outside) was too old, but everything in Split looks the same. Our room was perfectly equipped and comfortable, the bed and pillows were very good. You can drink water from the faucet, it comes from the Jadro Spring. They offer breakfast (included) at a restaurant just 10 steps (literally) away. Staff at the Villa and the restaurants were very friendly, one of them ride in our car to show us exactly where to park. The Villa, as most of hotels in Split, doesn’t have a parking garage in-situ, but they offer parking space close to the Villa. Our recommendation is to contact Booking.com about the parking space before you arrive to the hotel. The Villa was walking distance from the port, restaurants, bars and main attractions and monuments. We recommend this Villa/hotel.

Staff communication could be better. The door key lock apartment 5 need some oiling The welcome drink is only if you committed to have dinner (is not mentioning during check in) Breakfast could be more healthy with various bread types

Clean, modern, tasteful, perfect location, great air con, great shower and spacious bathroom, breakfast outside on ground level along lovely private culdesac, could watch the world without being in the busy old town. We were a couple with two adult teenagers who managed fine on the pull down bed which was already made up. It is very compact and has sloping ceiling so do study the photos but two of us are over 6ft and we had no issues - the quirkiness and lovely decor made up for the tight space. Little table and chairs on two landings so option for everyone to have some space. Complementary Bottle of red wine was a lovely touch and was delicious. Short 5min walk to centre and great Uber service which we used to and from beach and to ferry port to Hvar. Not suitable for anyone who cannot climb stairs as no lift. Friendly service, nothing was a problem. Highly recommend.

Lovely location in old part of town but not too noisy. Host greeted us on arrival, spoke English, answered questions and left us to settle in. Above a very good bar/restaurant for immediate evening meal. Breakfast in building next door was superb - buffet with lots of options. v comfortable beds.

Nothing - everything was great! Might need directions from bus. Also couldn't open window but temperature was fine.

Awesome location, quick direct walk to the beach and the old town. Rooms small but extremely clean and modern. Lara, who met us at the parking lot, was helpful and friendly. Parking was easy to find and close to the Villa. Breakfast was basic, but plentiful. It wasn't until the end of our stay that we were made aware eggs could be cooked to order and the eggs were fantastic. Based on the location alone, I would recommend staying here.

Beds are small. The air conditioning was loud or turned off in the middle of the night.

Communication was excellent. Host Lara was amazing- she was incredibly accommodating, meeting us each time we stayed. Ensuring we had everything we needed. Answered all our questions regarding public transport and what to visit. Her local knowledge made our stay issue free. Also the lovely lady that made our omelette each morning, and Dora at the restaurant attached to the accommodation was also very nice and kind.

The rooms are excellent, but maybe 2 pillows for each bed. Would make watching tv easier.
