Splendida Palace is conveniently located a short 5 minute walk from the old town. The breakfast butler service is also a very special touch. Our room was quite large and very clean. It had everything we needed. The entire staff was top shelf, but Marija in particular was outstanding. She was like a little hospitality ninja, ready to help us out with literally everything; THANK YOU MARIJA!

The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was delicious and very satisfying. The staff, especially Maria and Dea, could not do enough for you. They both were gracious and charming. The room was very clean and the bathroom in particular was outstanding with top of the line sink, shower, etc.

Nothing related to the hotel. The location of the hotel and the walk from the hotel to Old Town, while only about five to seven minutes, is dirty and unsavory. The hotel loses some of its charm only for something they cannot control.

Excellent location and the staff provide exceptional service. Nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast was lovely. All the food you could want is brought to you and cooked for you. Property was very clean and bathroom is modern.

We stayed on the top floor in a room with a balcony. The balcony did provide extra space but it was essentially looking into the local’s backyards, so not necessarily that attractive. We found the room a bit small when compared to similar accommodation that we had stayed in throughout Croatia. It was a bit cramped for us in terms of having a bit of downtime after a day’s travel but it may be perfect for other’s.

Exceptional staff. From check-in to check out, every single request of ours was met and exceeded. Breakfast is lovely, and the kids very much enjoyed crêpes and fruit. The swimming pool is small, but was enough to keep the kids entertained for an hour or two in the afternoon. The manager gave my daughter a box of delicious local chocolates which our entire family enjoyed very much. It was very nice to be just outside of old town, but a short five minute walk to the Diocletian palace. It’s a huge place, as there is no motor vehicle traffic allowed inside the old town, and it was great to be able to drive up right to the front doors with our luggage. There is a supermarket almost across the street Which was also very convenient. The rooms were sparkling clean. Shower water pressure was perfect.

The only, and not very significant downside, is several garbage bins at the end of the street right on the way to the old town from the hotel. They were smelly, although that’s obviously not the Splenda palace’s fault by any means.

The location is great, in a quiet street just a 5 minute walk to the main attraction in Split, Diocletian's Palace, The breakfast is absolutely superb, with a medley of fruits, pastries, meats and cheeses presented to each table on a cake stand, plus the offer of poached eggs, omelette or whatever in addition ! Our room (Superior double with balcony) was very nice, spotlessly clean with an excellent bathroom, good storage, very comfortable bed and effective aircon.

The only very slight disappointment was the pool, which is really only a dipping pool. As a keen amateur photographer I'd love to know what sort of lens was used to make it look twice the size it is !

From the moment we arrived we were treated as family. Nothing was too much trouble and as the stay went on it was apparent that all the staff understood the true meaning of customer service. The room was clean and very comfortable and with hotel being just outside the city walls, quiet, making for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was amazing, akin to a high tea, which made it easy to miss lunch! The recommendation for sightseeing and eating also were also spot on. I’d recommend the wine pairing meal in a local vineyard for something a bit special. When we return to Split we know where we will stay!

Absolutely nothing.

This boutique hotel is an absolute delight to stay at. It is perfectly located to explore Split by foot, with easy access to ferry rides to explore the amazing islands nearby and day trips to the national parks. It even has dedicated parking space in case you are driving to Split. The welcome drink is a nice treat. The breakfast spread is amazing, with more than you will ever want to eat! Kept us going till the afternoon! It is a boutique hotel with 5 star amenities, including within the rooms. And finally the best reason to recommend this hotel, is the staff. Mihaela and Marija were an absolute delight. Very caring, welcoming, and they went out of their way to help us with our troubles! We recommend this hotel unreservedly and will definitely be returning to spend a bit longer.

No cons really!

Everything. Just everthing. Marija, her brother, family and staff provided a more than exceptional experience. From super clean facilities and great breakfast(s) to exceptional personalized customer service. I could not have asked for more. Pool is not large (it's a "plung pool") but it's clean, clear and refreshing. Outside of Klis and the airport, everything around the port and palace is walking distance.

Split, in general, wasn't one of my most favorite of the Croatian cities to visit. I made it a point to get up early, before the heat and everthing got crowded, to visit the Palace and the Klis fortress. My wife and I always felt safe (night or day) but some areas of the city needed some love. Splendida Palace was in a better area of the city and was our oasis from the July heat.

We liked everything. We had two different rooms as our flight was cancelled and both were beautiful. Maria looked after us so well in sorting another night’s accommodation. Maria was incredible - as were her colleagues - friendly, helpful, interested and hugely competent. We actually can’t fault anything from the fantastic showers, comfortable beds and pillows, blackout blinds, personal communication device for if we got lost or needed help, breakfast, location and advice on places to go. The glass of cherry liqueur on arrival was a lovely touch. Our favourite hotel of our 5 week trip in Europe as not only the actual hotel so attractive but the people were so helpful and friendly.

We liked everything.

Everything! A place that leaves you speechless. Super clean hotel with lots of style. Although the hotel is located in the very center of the old town, right next to Diocletian's Palace, we were greeted by a parking space, which is almost impossible in this part of Split. As you go up to the room where the hotel staff has already brought your luggage, you can feel the wonderful smell that permeates the entire space. The check-in process went smoothly and quickly, with a glass of excellent cherry brandy, which the hotel staff treated us to. They know very well what you will like :). The room is very stylish and super clean with lots of great details. The beds are probably the most comfortable we have ever slept in. In the atrium of the hotel next to the stylish swimming pool, I was served an excellent espresso coffee with a bowl of delicious homemade biscuits. During the stay, each guest receives a mobile phone with a Croatian SIM card and the phone number of the hotel staff, who are at their disposal 24/7, in case of any emergency during their stay in Split. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel staff will pamper you to the extent that you will not be able to recognize yourself, and in a very professional manner that does not violate your space and your privacy. All in all, definitely the best experience ever.
