Our recent stay at the Madama Residence Hotel in Old Nicosia was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we stepped foot into this charming hotel, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality that set the tone for an unforgettable experience. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the Mediterranean cuisine restaurant nestled within the hotel. From the moment we sat down, we knew we were in for a culinary treat. The menu boasted an impressive array of dishes inspired by the flavors of the region, each one meticulously prepared with the freshest local ingredients. What truly set the restaurant apart, however, was the impeccable service and genuine hospitality of the staff. From the warm welcome we received upon arrival to the attentive care we experienced throughout our meals, every interaction was characterized by a genuine desire to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of perfect.

Close to Ledre Street (2 minutes), Green Line/crossing (5 minutes), restaurants, bus station, and shopping. Staff was very accommodating to our needs (late checkin, luggage storage, medication storage in frig, early breakfast).

A little bit difficult to find initially but we eventually made it. It was a bit confusing for taxis too. No parking nearby (public parking several blocks away).Really only suited for solo travelers or couples. Families need to book multiple rooms (all on the second floor without a lift). Not disability friendly (stairs required).

Location = perfect Comfort = perfect Vibe = perfect, pretty and so stylish. Every detail has had so much love and attention given. Staff = beyond perfect Every staff member we encountered was happy and so eager to help, we felt like we were among family. The people working there seem to love their jobs, which is such a great experience. Management is very lucky to have such a brilliant team.

Things to know before you book. 1. Old Nicosia is a network of narrow, one-way streets. If you drive to the hotel, it's advisable to look up the map and plan ahead. 2. There is a very large, period staircase to access the beautiful bedrooms, which might be difficult for mobility impaired travellers. Everything else is perfect ❣️

Very well located in the heart of the old town. A full supermarket only 1 1/2 blocks away. Building is historic and well renovated. Staff genuinely friendly and small size of establishment meant that we met and got to know nearly all staff. A problem that we had with the door key electrical switch was dealt with acceptably on the first night, and then fixed permanently by an electrician early the next morning. Quiet streets and so no problem with noise.

Coming from Australia we missed having tea/coffee making in the room (or at least a kettle). A minor thing really and certainly not a reason for deducting a point.

The staff, from the concierge to the housekeeping team, consistently went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. Their personalized approach made me feel like a valued guest rather than just a visitor. One of the advantages of staying there was its prime location in Nicosia. It allowed me to easily explore the city's historic sites, cultural attractions, and vibrant neighbourhoods. Whether I was discovering the city's rich history or indulging in local cuisine, everything was within reach. This small boutique hotel captured my heart with its character, personalized service and attention to detail. I departed with a sense of gratitude for having discovered such a gem in Nicosia. I wholeheartedly recommend Madama Residence to fellow travellers seeking an intimate and exceptional retreat in the heart of this beautiful city.

The design of the rooms and the staff very friendly and eagle to assist.

The limited selection of breakfast, also the walls were a bit dirty from the humidity and it looks like drops falling the wall, needs a bit cleaning because in that price range I was a bit shocked with that situation.

Everything was top notch. Staff so kind and helpful, spotlessly clean, and the best location in the old city. It felt like a family run guesthouse, but is elegantly decorated and luxurious, with an adult wink in art choices. We cannot fault it.

Absolutely fantastic staff who makes you feel at home from the minute you enter the place. On the day of the departure they even arranged a coffee to go for me at 5 AM. Beautiful and tasty design of the rooms and interiors along with truly delicious food. Quiet location with an awesome patio where you want to sit and chill for hours. Totally recommend and will surely be back.

The hotel is extremely well located and very comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent.

We found the staff a bit variable in their attitude. Some were very friendly, others somewhat sour. Perhaps not the best value for money.
