The Hotel Continental is a beautiful hotel. Its period design is just gorgeous. It is right in the town center and you can access everything from there. The breakfast was amazing! On Sunday, they even had someone in the dining area playing the piano for diners. The staff were friendly and helpful. They made some excellent restaurant recommendations. However, I would advise any travelers to have the staff make reservations at these restaurants for you as soon as you arrive. Often, these restaurants are full and you need reservations to get in. The staff at the Hotel Continental are more than willing to help you in that regard. Just know that the best restaurants in town are busy, even in the off season!

Great staff: they were very friendly and competent. Great location: you cannot really beat the location, right in the middle of town, there was a music festival right next to our hotel on the market space, ideal location! Great breakfast: the breakfast was really good, the scrambled egg was perfect and the fruit was very fresh and delicious. Great breakfast hall: the location where we ate our breakfast was very inspiring, it looked like out of a novel! Great hotel atmosphere: same goes for the Entrance hall and the staircase of the hotel, looked like out of a movie. Good room: the room was good enough for the price, it had a fridge a big bathroom and two comfortable beds, however it could have been better if the sound insulation had been more refined and the room was a bit warm.

Room was a bit warm and noisy, because of the central location and age of the hotel (which partly makes this place so charming) the insolation of the rooms (in an acoustic manner) was not ideal.

This is a historic hotel from 1893 in neo-Renaissance and neo-Baroque details, right in the center of Plzeň. It suffered bomb damage in 1944/45 causing many casualties, including the owner. After the liberation of Plzeň (Pilsen) from Nazi-Germany by the US Army in May 1945, the hotel became a temporary headquarters of General Hinds from the 2nd Infantry Division, and Marlene Dietrich was one of the distinguished guests working as a translator. What the hotel lack in modern facilities, it adds in tons of charm and historic flair. It may seem a bit dated interior wise, and a bit worn, but my friend and I was in for the adventure and really liked the charm of it. Our room had a beautiful balcony even, and a sofa and table. Apparently John Malkovich had stayed in the same suite as us back in 2001. Or so a plaque on the wall said at least. Quite nice breakfast too, but pretty standard continental. Nice and helpful staff and parking around the corner (for a fee). I highly recommend it if you like historic hotels, even if it is a more modest one. According to the hotels homepage new owners took over in 2014 "who are gradually returning the First Republic style and trying to follow the tradition.", which is great, so looking forward to see that. And will gladly come again.

One tip to the hotel: Have cans of filter coffee available. The one coffee machine they offer creates uneccessary long queues of people waiting for beans to grind, coffees to chosen and different coffees to be made. We waited up to 10 minutes for a black coffee, the machine ran out of beans, milk ran out. Not a big problem, but seems like an easy fix.

Room was a bit small, but was enough for what i needed. we were traveling with friends/coworkers and hotel was needed only for sleeping/shower. Breakfast was good, seemed to have enough choices. Location was great. I liked having a fridge as i had bought some food as souvenir and that kept it cool until we had to travel back. Really good water pressure in the shower!!!

Shame about the roadworks near the hotel, as i sleep with open window mornings were noisy. But i have not tried if closed window would eliminate the noise completely or not.

The hotel is in the heart of Plzen, top location. Its unique feature is its own parking next to the building. It resembles the Monarchy style, but soon it will require some refit or renovation. It is visible that the staff is trying to keep up with cleaning and so on, but time has left its marks on the interior and furniture. The receptionist was kind, effective and helpful but a bit moderate. The highlight of the hotel is the cafe and restaurant where the breakfast is also served. It is a travel back in time and in a very good sense. It has a very unique atmosphere and the staffs are very kind. The breakfast is rich and all the food, eggs, vegetable etc. had a very special "organic taste", meaning they felt like coming straight from a farm. Overall a very nice experience.

The furniture in the room was quite basic.

This is obviously an old hotel but everything was very clean,renovated but the style was still kept.The staff was very polite and helpful,the room is spacious and clean,the location is more than perfect,everything was in nearest area,and in front of the hotel is nice view of the park.There is an elevator,for me very important thing.Parking place in front of the hotel,but you have to pay for it.The best thing is the music on the breakfast (nice breakfast) and while we were eating,nice relaxed music was playing.

Dear future guests at Continental Hotel, for all of you, who would like to sleep and enjoy hotel Continental like you might saw at movie with John Wick, than go for, as this is the 100% excellent hit, double door, clean, quite and the very best scrambled eggs for breakfast I ever had.

- Bang on in the centre of Pilsen, you couldn't be more central if you wanted to. - Architecturally marvellous, the art deco entrance and restaurant made me feel like in a movie - An hotel with an history and character - Stylish, Old World elegance - Very good breakfast, attentive staff - Great parking options next to the hotel for a reasonable price (if they don't overbook, see dislikes)

- Horrific German style pillows not suited for human use. Oversized, underfilled, they made for an unpleasant night sleep. - Overbooked parking. As we witnessed first hand, they tend to overbook the parking spaces, leading to very upset customers who have paid for their parking but none is provided. Not a classy move.
