It was an exceptional value. My stay was only about $15 more than surrounding hotels but mine included breakfast lunch dinner and drinks!!! And the food at the buffet was ample and very diverse...

The pools were hot! But it was hot in Jaco. You wanted to jump in and cool off but they were like 85 degrees. Good thing there was the ocean. Bring swim shoes it's rocky right in front of the hotel, or you can walk about 200 yards to the right and it's perfectly sandy

I liked that everything tou needed was really close you didnt have to walk far for anything. The buffet was really good too.. Snacks not so much

checking in took super long, I liked the nachos but 2nd day they were stale, they keep the same ones there for a couple days, pizza we got wasnt cooked enough... The fries were real good tho

Me and my son(8) spent four nights here during his spring break. This resort is great for kids as there are plenty of areas for them to hang out and there are multiple pools so that children can be in one pool and adults can be in another. All of the staff were lovely and helpful. They keep the grounds of the hotel very clean overall! My only complaint is the bathroom. The set up is a bit weird but we may do. They do not offer face towels so that something to keep in mind. Make sure you bring your own face towels or loofah. The soap that they offer is also not the best so make sure to have your own shower gel as well. The food selections were great for the most part. They changed daily, so there could be different nights dedicated to different cuisines of food. All in all it was a great stay and we would stay there again.

The food here is great, with a good variety across the meals per day. The facility is very clean and the staff is very attentive and kind. The double garden room was spacious and clean. It is not the most modern, but I would not call it outdated. A convenience store and a couple restaurants are directly across the street. And the main corridor of the strip with shops, bars and restaurants is just a short walk up the street.

Could use more seating in the pool areas, and the bars get very crowded. If you prefer to lounge on the beach, the property does not offer chairs, but walk a bit down the beach and you can rent chairs and tents for a reasonable rate.

The pools were lovely! Perfect temperature which I’ve never had before - it’s always too cold or warm. The staff were very attentive and the room was a good size with nice hot showers. Bar staff should also be commended for their cocktails! Buffet was ok, always a variation and well stocked. Some days better than others for options that weren’t bland or lukewarm.

The lack of shade for the sun loungers, you didn’t have much option of where to sit if you didn’t want direct sun. No balcony on the room to sit and enjoy the view or temperature, you had to leave your room and go downstairs. The gathering of peoples cups, plates etc. there wasn’t an effort made by guests to put them in the allocated central spots which made it harder for the hotel to keep it clean.

The ……,. Resort at Jaco beach was right at the beach and we witnessed the most beautiful sunset that evening. The all inclusive dinner meal was delicious and they prepared a special pasta dish to suit our preference for vegetarian food. The pools were clean and the outdoor showers near the beach too. The pool table and ping pong table were a nice addition which our group loved. Overall a good stay.

The rooms where in the same floor but not together. The rooms were comfortable but a bit small for four people. It was a bit painful to return all the swim towels during check out.

I was able to relax and to take it easy, which was my objective. The people are friendly, the pool area is nice and the access to the beach is convenient. It's good to have coffee, drinks, food all the time within easy reach. The food is fine, it's not a gourmet buffet, but it is tasty and varied. It's located right in front of the bus terminal, and on the lively High Street.

As a lot of people say, it is a bit dated, but not in a critical way. At dining times the restaurant gets crowded, but it's nothing that should make you feel uncomfortable or stressed. Just queue for a bit and it is fine. It might me loud some times, there are pool activities with music, but the hotel is big and you can look for a space away from the noise. If you like to go to bed early on the weekends, it might be difficult to sleep. I was there Saturday and Sunday night with the loud sound going off at 23:00. That was fine for me, but maybe not to everyone.

If you like Carnival Cruises you will probably enjoy this all-inclusive. DJ at the pool keeping the party going. The main pool has some shade. Rooms are modest but functional. Good AC and hot water . Located on the beach and close to the Main Street action. Meals are cafeteria style and reflect the Costa Rican palate (plain). You are going to eat a lot of rice and beans. Many options for the vegan traveller and if yuou need anything all you have to do is ask. Iguanas abound. Saw Scarlet Macaws every day. The staff were very accommodating.

The main dining is not air conditioned so you are going to eat in the heat.

Absolutely loved my stay! Staff were amazing, there was a food selection of unlimited drinks and food was tasty.

1) several times reception either had a massive queue because 1 person was on the desk, or it was unattended. For a hotel that size, there should be more receptionists. 2). The area of the hotel I stayed had people working in the mornings and evenings. While I understand they couldn’t work mid day due to the heat, being woken up at 7/8am while trying to have a relaxing holiday isn’t great. Also the noise of them working until 8pm one night wasn’t great either.

Location is superb, lovely views across swimming pools to sea. Excellent value for money being all inclusive Staff are wonderful, so hardworking, friendly & helpful. Very secure as no visitors allowed Air conditioning & showers very efficient There are apparently plans to put in more shade areas in gardens. The weather is VERY hot & humid. UVA very strong, advise 60 sun protection.

We are older & did find that the loud nightclub like music not always our choice. Especially when they are at venues close to each other & can hear both at once. Would have preferred salt water pools. Beach is right there but strong current is advised to be dangerous.
