I am a returning customer and I always loved the place. The renovation was excellent except no closet to store the clothes and smaller important items. A small coffee machine and iron would be perfect. House cleaning staff specially Petra was great and helpful.

We stayed 7 nights and did have a little heatwave so it would have been nice to lower the outside shades to keep the room cool. But they did not work. Maybe next time.

We had a truly pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff were exceptionally nice and welcoming, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. It's a super kid-friendly place. The breakfast was great, with a good variety to choose from. A big plus is the parking. Cars can be parked in Q-Park, and there's a direct entrance with a lift that takes you straight to the hotel, which is incredibly convenient. But what truly made our stay special was how the hotel helped me arrange a surprise birthday cake for my daughter. She absolutely loved it! Huge thanks to the restaurant staff who were not only kind but also shared creative ideas to make the surprise extra special. I highly recommend this hotel to families and anyone looking for thoughtful service and a warm atmosphere.

There was a miscommunication between the front desk staff with whom we spoke in the evening and the morning about the special request(cake). But in the end, it all turned out great.

Always a good choice if one wants to be in the centre of Darmstadt! Have visited more than ten times over the past decade, and will probably return.

Had requested double bed. Instead got two pulled together, only realised when I got back to the hotel late in the evening, went to sleep and woke up with the beds splitting in the middle! Not my cup of tea in a week of 6 flights. Staff apologised, but not more than that. Was only one night this time, so next day I was feeling kaput...

I had an international flight returning to the US, cancelled after a 3 hour delay, leading to an ensuing rush for all 300 or 400 passengers to find a hotel. There are a number of hotels in or near the airport in Frankfurt, but all of them were 500 to 1000 euros a night...not great when the airline's statement reimbursement limit was 400 euros. I found the Welcome Hotel in Darmstadt at a much more affordable price, well under the 400 euro limit. The hotel is very nice, the restaurant attached has an amazing gin selection and good food.

The hotel is 13 miles from the airport. I did not try Uber to get to there, but Uber to return to the airport was unable to find me a car the next morning. The taxi ride was quite expensive - 70 euros although I shared a taxi with another passenger so only paid one way. The net of this one way plus the hotel cost was still well under the 400 euro reimbursement limit. Otherwise, the hotel itself was great although the wifi setup is odd: basically it seems to require the TV be on because turning said TV off also turned off the WiFi.

Staff were very friendly and helpful and had no qualms about speaking to us in English. Couldn't ask for a better location.

It was hard to balance the room between too hot and too cold at night (early October). The air con unit was also noisy and disruptive when trying to sleep. 10/10 would be if there was a kettle provided in rooms, and breakfast ran later than 10am Mon-Sat. Also, bedding provided was two single duvets on a double bed- a bit awkward.

We loved the central location right next to the Herrngarten park, quiet room at the back of the hotel overlooking the park and a gorgeous university building. Welcome to the hotel was just lovely! The reception staff were really polite, courteous and helpful. Cleanliness in the hotel is outstanding. We also loved the Moller bar.

Absolutely nothing.

Room was comfortable and had all the necessities. Location is great and next to a nice park that one can enjoy in the loveliest breakfast room. Buffet is very good.

Our last night unfortunately was at the same time as a large music festival that did not end until after 1pm. and because the AC was not on yet (due to season) one had to open the window to get some air but then had to endure the noise. I would recommend the AC be on if opening the window is not a good option.

Nice and big room, new furniture, good repair, big bathroom, lot of storages and space for everything. Great location, from one side - beautiful park, from another - city centre with lots of great restaurants. Staff were really helpful and very friendly. We also enjoyed our breakfast and good coffee. Staying at this hotel second time and planning to come back again.

The hotel is in a very good central location with parking below and direct elevator access into the hotel. The parking spaces are wide and good for kids. The location is good for visiting the main sites of the city and parks. The rooms were comfortable and had nice bathrooms. There are plenty of bakeries and restaurants nearby (would recommend the Persian restaurant Shiraz).

The hotel reception area is a little dated

The hotel is exceptionally good. The location is top: city center, university, park, public transportation stops, restaurants, cafes. The staff is friendly and helpful. The communication is fast. Everything is clean, modern and very well done. Our child got a baby bed and some toys at reception. The atmosphere was good.

The minus is hidden in design of the rooms: the door opening to the toilet is done wrong, it opens inside, and hits the person who is sitting on a toilet. Also you can not totally open the door, it is blocked by the toilet. I find this feature unacceptable for a four star hotel... Then, knowing that in Germany is very common two beds standing together, we asked for one big bed. But on arrival we discovered two beds together :-0
