Location, you should be ok with autopilot back to your room :) although beware of the maze inside the building as signposting is generally poor Staff was very friendly and approachable This is a classic weekend lad trip spot, nothing more

Everything is dirty, sticky, lots of rubbish, toilets dirty, sinks, shower blocked, showerheads broken, mess everywhere ;).Its not staff fault (they dont clean that often though) but guests making mess :) Linen is stained and old, towels are also bad. Bring your own sleeping bag and towels to sort the problem Breakfast is one type of cheese, ham, boiled egg, cucumber, tomato, cereals and pancakes We had to pay over 400 euros a night for quadroom during Euro which is a rip off but there were no other choices for this great location

I've red the reviews and was sceptical, but I actually had great time! I liked beds and bathroom, liked 24/7 reception, terrace and living space. And it was great location - walking distance from city centre and lots of happening in the evening.

Parking is 22/day. Same as similar garages around. It was loud at night due to the location, but it didn't bother me. But what did bother me was two charging stations for 8 people?!

Great room with balcony! I didn't have any issues with sound from the street even though I stayed at the weekend and it was busy, I had a great sleep both nights. The facilities were great, took me a moment to get used to the shower but I think that was just me. A great price for a private room with a bathroom (and again I'll say it - a balcony!!) plenty of places to go in the area, a great spot to stay, perhaps not for families, but for travellers, couples and friend groups, this a great place to stay at a great value. Staff were very helpful and lovely, when I arrived it was peak check in time and there was a long queue but it went so quick, all sorted and on my way to my room in a matter of minutes.

Bit of a travel to my room, but there is lifts and the staff explain well how to get to each bit and where to get breakfast.

More than friendly staff. From all kind of help and advices, to free coffee in the morning. Wifi was working like a charm and beds were comfortable. Room is totally basic, but there is all you need to sleep over and have a shower. Cleaning ladies were taking out trash and making our beds every day, which is not usual, nor expected in bnb hostel. There is nice variety of inhouse activities like 8 ball pool, tabletop football, vending machines... as well as nice office space with usb and 220v connections. ATM is placed in the lobby of hostel, and reception is run by humans 24-7. U Bahn station is less than 100m from the hostel, which is great plus as Hamburg U Bahn system is second to none, even in the times of biggest railroad strike which was ongoing when we were visiting.

We didn't have problem with location and customers, as we knew we are coming into the very heart of Hamburg red light district. So, what you can see and hear outside, as well as see in lobby and about hostel isn't for family visit and stay. You can expect to bump into ladies and boys of the night and get some indecent offers, but everybody is friendly and unintrusive. Yet, it might bother some people, so be warned you're not coming into Tropical Plaza family resort. I wouldn't bring my wife and kids here but I will certainly stay there again when I need day or two to sleepover in Hamburg.

Location is great for public transportation. The neighborhood was a bir loud but the hostel is not close to the avenue so the noise didn’t reach to the rooms. it was easy to check in and check out. The room was clean. The bathroom was also clean (except the shower drain). The breakfast was good (not great). In general, it was a very good option for it’s price.

No elevator. The vending machine didn’t have any water. No A/C.

I completly don’t understand this bad opinions. Booking one of the cheapiest hostel and expect of 4 star hotel is madness. I had seperate 2 bed room with bathrum. For this range price everything was very good. Hostel and room with toilet was clean with clean sheets and towels. Brekfast was really good. We arrived at 7 am only to leave our luggages in baggage lokcers but we got key to room without any additional cost despite check in was at 3pm. One thing what can by annoying is flat wals and our neighbour are loud we can hear that. On the weekend nights we can also hear lives on the street because it is very fun neigbourhood. To sum up me and my wife reccomend this place if you want budget accomodation option. We spent there 3 nights and every atraction in the center was within our reach by walk. I also reccoment taking the hamburg bicycle, maximum fee is 9 euro per 24hour for one bike but you can’t change on other bike. If you want a pause for food you can lock the bike. Enjoy your staying :)

It was a nice, confortable hostel, and the room was excelent! Clean and confortable! Breakfast was delicious!

The staff was very kind but a little overloaded, it seems. The roomcard somehow wouldnt open the door after breakfast, and they couldn´t help it nicely and fast.

The staff went out of their way to make sure we had the best stay ever, especially Aldo (I so hope I got his name right) in reception and the young man who checked us in on the night of November 5th. Their level of service was exceptional! I also LOVED the location!!

There were some maintenance issues and there were no hooks or racks to hang costs or towels

Adequate hostel for the price. The single room with its bed was comfortable and spacious enough for one traveller and came with a television and a nice view over Reeperbahn. There was no disruption from other rooms which one may expect. The room was clean and well presented, and the buffet continental breakfast hours were generous and the food was varied. The atmosphere was good throughout the building. This was an excellent accommodation especially for a solo traveller.

The corridors and passageways were rather dimly lit, especially the stairways. It is worth noting if you don't know Hamburg that this is the city's red light district, with adult shops and venues around. This was no issue for me but worth considering if staying with children, and is by no means a fault of the accommodation. The staff were not excessively friendly and the receptionist who checked me in was quiet and seemingly unsure when speaking English, but suitably gave the necessary information.

The location is splendid - the hotel is only a 1 minute walk to Pink Palace and Paradise B. It’s also a stones throw from hundreds of bars and smart shops. Check in and checkout was easy and despite leaving an hour late the reception didn’t mind late check out.

The beds were a bit uncomfortable, thin mattresses on metal frames. But due to the location being world class I can overlook the beds.
