I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The free coffee, tea and hot chocolate available 24/7 was a very nice touch. The location is excellent, just a few steps from the S-Bahn, making it very easy to reach the city center. I also appreciated the convenience of self check-in and check-out. The room was clean, tidy, and the whole building felt modern and well maintained.

The only thing I didn’t like was that in order to use the shower or the hairdryer, the air conditioning had to stay on. Even with the bathroom door closed, it felt cold when stepping out of the shower.

My room was on the 5th floor and was at the back of the hotel - it was SO quiet, despite being just round the corner from the Reeperbahn. It was pretty basic but had everything I needed, including wireless charging and plenty of plug/USB sockets. My friend used the hotel's car park under the Lidl next door and that worked very well - there were loads of empty spaces. Didn't need to speak to the staff much but they were friendly and very helpful. Liked that the room was only cleaned every three days - there's really no need to get clean towels etc every day.

The sign asking me to run the aircon and shut the bathroom door when showering (to stop the room's smoke alarm going off) jarred a bit (can the smoke alarm not just be moved or made less sensitive?) - but I soon got used to it, it was not an issue. Could do with better signage at the front door to point guests at the keypad that opens the front door at night (it's automatic during the day) - but, again, not a big issue.

Even if we have given the company details for the invoice, the invoice has been issued for another company in another country also the amount has been retained twice - once from the card used for the reservation with Booking and once from my credit card. People at the reception could not solve my problem before my leave, so I have written e-mails with no reply from the hotel, also I tried to call several times, I have waited more than 15 minutes for somebody to take my call, no reply. I am very disappointed about the reception and administration services.

Very clean and comfortable room, good shower, easy location close to public transportation and at walking distance from some attractions

Reception staff was a bit rude and not very attentive, we were first given a card to a room that was already taken (and the card opened the door, which is how we discovered it was taken), and the person at the reception didn’t even acknowledge that, just gave us another room without saying a word. Same for when we asked about the parking, as on Booking it says we should ask them for available spots, but they just told me to go park at the hospital across the street (which in the end was cheaper, but they could’ve explained it better).

Excellent location, 2 minutes from the underground. All major attractions within easy reach. Also, located at the edge of the livelier bar and club area so it’s there if you want it but easily avoided. Useful supermarket next door too. Very clean hotel but room service was not daily! Comfortable room. Bit of a shortage of rail space to hang your clothes though. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Nice big lounge area for relaxing after a hard days sightseeing.

Some homeless people in the area although they didn’t cause a problem. The decor was not to my liking in communal areas, with carpets that could almost make you dizzy!

The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom in particular was well above the standard I've seen across Europe so far. Checking in and out was simple and straightforward. Although I'm not a drinker and don't partake in nightlife, someone who does would absolutely love the location. And despite all the nocturnal activity, the room was well sound-proofed, and perfectly quiet at night (I am a light sleeper and would have woken up otherwise).

This may not be the case everywhere in the hotel, but at least in my room, the WiFi was absolutely dreadful, especially relative to anywhere else I've stayed in Europe. It was slow, spotty, and often only worked in part of the room. Although I wasn't in the room that much, this was a real drag on my stay.

Reception/bar was understaffed due to being combined. A queue at reception would result in a 20-minute wait at the bar for one drink, and 5 people standing at the bar would result in guests waiting in line in reception to check in. The closed reception area on the ground floor should be reopened. Bar and reception should be kept separate.

The hotel was pretty good. It was clean, had just about enough space for two big suitcases and that’s about it.

The property was a little hard to find at first and it is a little disorienting that you have to ring the doorbell first, have to be let in and then get to the 1st floor to get to the reception. What was pretty confusing was the light arrangements within the room. Just know that if you’re sensitive to light you won’t be able to sleep until the other person is done in the bathroom. Other than that, it was pretty good.

The location was perfect for us. It was on the edge of St Pauli, so it wasn't too noisy or sketchy, but it was easily accessible to everything. There is also a grocery store and S-Bahn Station right by the hotel. The rooms were a bit ugly but newly renovated. There was a wireless charging station on one side of the bed, which was a nice touch. The bathroom was small but very nicely refurbished. It was a little pricey, but we were overall very happy with the facilities and location. No issues to complain about.

I found the mattresses a bit too firm, which caused my hip to hurt, but my husband didn't have any issues.
