This was the 2nd time we have stayed at this hotel . Once again we were looked after by the excellent team of Bozena and Petra who go out of their way to help make the stay enjoyable. In actual fact these ladies were a big reason why we booked again. The hotel was clean and the room a decent size for short or long stays. As we were visiting for the Christmas markets and to see a good friend the location could not be better. Great transport links close by as well . The area is very well served by some great restaurants and cafes . The new lady on reception Juanina was also very lovely and helpful . Will definitely be back again next year to enjoy the great hospitality

Nothing that we can think of

We had a really nice 2 nights here. Checked in at midnight with no problems after a late flight. The room was clean and big enough for us. Bathroom was very clean. All the staff were friendly and spoke enough English to help us through our broken German. Breakfast was very good - nice continental selection of cold meats and cheeses, bread, yoghurts, cereal, bacon and eggs.

Only issue was the pillows which were very flat - one worse than the other. I folded the worse one in half but it didn’t make much difference. We didn’t ask for another one as it didn’t bother me enough but maybe they could update some of the worse ones.

Staff were excellent. Bozena on reception was fantastic and had so many good recommendations and useful tips on enjoying the city. Also Petra was great and would like to mention also Hari who looked after the breakfast area who was super efficient and ensured a really enjoyable time . The breakfast selection was also exceptional with so much to choose from . The hotel was always clean and a perfect location as pretty much everything was in walking distance . The area also had a lot of great restaurants and cafes . When we visit Cologne next year we will definitely stay here again . Can’t speak highly enough of the staff .

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like . The only thing perhaps that would have been nice would have been tea and coffee facilities in the room but it didn’t matter that much as there was a great little place across the street for this ( thanks Bozena!)

The guy in reception was super helpful. He had excellent English and provided all the details about the hotel, city, and transport. Also, he printed for me my airport boarding pass. The room was comfortable, bathroom was clean. I would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was good as well.

The lock on the door was clicking at night a few times, but maybe it was my fault that I didn't close the door properly.

receptionist on arrival was perfect she was really lovely and make me feel comfortable as a solo traveller And advise me on Waze it’s which was perfect. the room was a little noisy for me because it was over the street and the person on the opposite side of the corridor was Slamming her door she said it was because the lock didn’t work but the receptionist downstairs In the morning said it was the way that she was closing the door I was in doubt about this otherwise the room is clean good location if I hadn’t been woken up through the night with a banging door then it was a nice place to stay

no reception telephone, a bit noisy as over the street. the bed was strangely a bit uncomfortable 🤔no bar!!!

The furniture fits the room, so you can move around. Area nice, tram nearby. Excellent food in relaxed ambience at the Metzger in Aachener Strasse. Opposite the church of St Michael you find a family owned bakery - they actually use real butter in their croissants.

Party noise from the street. The windows helps if closed. One of us had difficulties falling asleep - the others slept. Facing the court: no problem. Or if you join the party, I guess.

Location, breakfast, personnel, cleanliness

A bottle of water in the room would be a great addition for guests (not everyone is fan of tap water), bed was a bit squeaky but it wasn't a big issue (it's fine)

Super friendly and helpful staff, and perfect location.

Breakfast was only OK, whoever designed the hotel wasn't thinking much about luggage (the elevator stops in between floors so whichever floor you're on you will have to use stairs!)

Such friendly and helpful staff, wow! They were really always smiling and ready to help. This makes me want to come back instantly. I was also stunned with the size of a bathroom, considering it was a single room with a small bed. All in all very clean, comfy hotel in an extremely cool location.

Would be helpful for room service to not try entering your room at 9am when they know you are checking out today (at 11), but it’s a usual case in many hotels, unfortunately.

Very nice hotel with a personal touch, very nice staff in the reception. Helpful with good practical tips. Good breakfast and the location is great. The room was good but the bed was a bit worn and I could feel a dip in the middle of the bed. Now I am working with beds and have very strict ideas about how a bed should feel. For sure I will try to book same hotel next time I visit Cologne :)

Maybe some international TV channels in English.
