Staff were great. Initially we had a small room but for a small cost we were able to upgrade to a very decent sized room. It's worth going for the bigger room for a couple. The small rooms are fine for a single traveler. Breakfast was really good with eggs cooked to order and many other choices. Luka and Thomas were very helpful and fun. Location was a little off the beaten track, but very walkable to everything you want to see and do.

A/C in all rooms would have been nice. We were in Cologne for a heat wave and were provided with a portable a/c. However, the venting of the a/c caused the window to have to be open, so the room did not get that cool. Other than that, everything was great.

Good location, beautiful hotel and rooms (Terrace with Nice view) and most of all very friendly staff. I asked to change rooms because we wanted a terrace to sit outside after our baby girl sleeps. And we could change immediately with no problems. Amazing coffee at breakfast.

The scrambled egg seemed to be missing from the breakfast buffet. The room was very hot (29 degrees) with no aircon. But I have to add we first had a room with aircon, I asked to switch to a room with terrace myself and afterwards that one appeared to have no airco. Might be good to add it to all top floor rooms.

Lady that runs it is very nice and helpful. Room was adequate. All was fine once we got into the room.

Weird system to check in. You get to the location then have to call a number to get someone to come unlock and check you in. Verizon phone decided not to have coverage at that time so we stood outside (in a not so great area) for about 45 minutes trying to figure out what to do. Finally some other guys came to check in so they made the call and we all got in. Location is a ways away from anything and we didn't find a bus stop close by. This is the only stop we had on our 3 week trip that we hired taxi for all our transportation needs.

Pre arrival support was amazing. Our train was severely delayed and missed the connection to Cologne. Frank on reception answered all my hurried messages on the way, suggesting other routes to get to Cologne and reassuring us we could get in if we made it (we didn’t). Being Celiac often breakfast is yoghurt and fruit, but the hotel had GF bread rolls and a great scrambled eggs option. Usually I don’t bother to pay extra for the breakfast but the offer was really good value for me. Super friendly, helpful staff, everyone that worked there made our lives easy.

The only thing, and this is really not a problem, was no tea and coffee making facilities in room. This is outweighed by all the other great things about the hotel.

Great location - 10 minutes walk to the Belgian quarter 20 mins to the old town. Staff were amazing and really helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and large - great showers too.

They were installing Aircon (but that's just doing improvements and did not bother us) and sometimes outside could be a little loud but with the windows closed you couldn't hear anything

The building over 100 years old and has great character. It is a small family run hotel so it is quite different to your typical hotel. The rooms are spacious and have all the amenities required. We opted for breakfast, which was 15 euro per person. It is a vegetarian breakfast with a few options so was nice. Staff were lovely, especially Felix, and were willing to to assist. Rooms had great curtains to block out the light and the shower had good pressure.

The only negative was the noise from the 100 year-old wooden floors, which creaked as you walked around so you heard upstairs clearly. However, this is minor and the floors are a great addition to the character of the hotel.

The room was very nice, big and with light, bed very comfortable, everything very clean. The staff was incredibly helpful at accommodating my very late check in request. I had to be very early out for work meetings, and requested to have the "bussiness breakfast" deliveredy to my room, which they did, that was very helpful!

The wifi didn't work at all in my room. I was on a work trip, and wished there was a desk to work on the evenings if needed.

The staff is amazing!!! They are incredibly accommodating and helpful. The vibe of the property was relaxed and friendly. The breakfast is outstanding. They have a chef cooking your eggs and food was generous without being to much or wasteful. You couldn’t ask for a better location to the Christmas markets.

Only drawback was not having front desk staff later in the evening.

The staff was kind. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel is small but has everything needed. There is good accessibility with the elevator. The location is good, just a few minutes from the tram station. The hotel gives a boutiquish and a cozy vibe at the same time.

The breakfast was less varied than the usual standard, and the staff took some time to refill missing things.

We loved the quality and independent, personal feel. The room was immaculate, the staff were completely charming. The hotel is in a great location, walkable to the Belgium Quarter as well as the hustle and bustle of the main shops, cathedral and station.
