Great Location right in the city centre. 15 /20 min walk to HBF. Modern spacious apartment with balcony. The Host was very helpful throughout the stay. Smart Tv for the kids. Really nice bathroom and shower facilities. Very close to all amenities like supermarkets and main shopping area.

The apartment was not cleaned for the duration of our stay however when we requested clean towels etc they were provided to us. We stayed for 5 nights so would have expected at least one clean during that time. That was really the only issue we had. Just to note that shops close in Köln on Sundays so make sure to stock up in the local supermarkets. Aldi and Lidl are 5 mins walk from the apartment! The smaller kiosks are much more expensive.

The location is great. You're a 100 meters from a shopping street and a supermarket, but on a small enough street that is is very quiet. You can walk to the cathedral / old town in like 8-10 minutes and you can honestly walk pretty much anywhere. A great bakery was about a 5 minute walk away, numerous other restaurants as well. We went mostly for the Christmas Markets, one (Neumarkt) was about 2-3 minutes away, the other major one (Altmarkt) was under 10 minutes. Check-in was smooth, the room could not be cleaner, the bed was comfortable, bathroom quite large with a big walk-in shower, a small kitchen with a fridge, an owen, an electric kettle, an electric stove and the expected utensils / glasses / plates and a dinning table for two. A medium size smart TV (e.g. netflix) was mounted across from the bed. Wifi worked like a charm, no issues with signal strength, weird logins or anything. Our room had a small balcony looking into the block's yard (or rather, the flat roof of the floor under us). Window blinds made the room very dark. Got to interact with the staff a couple times and they were very friendly and helpful; offered later check-in for free, kept our luggage on our last day. As a note, this is closer to renting an apartment (no daily service, no 24/7 reception) than a hotel, which worked out great for us, as we find the daily housekeeping visits intrusive rather than helpful. Overall, would definitely stay again.

Very minor complaint would be that there was no way to watch the TV without sitting / lying in bed, but not what we were there for anyway.

Everything was outstanding and we were already planning to give it a 10 (location is great, owner was fantastic with great tips, and great to talk to before the following which makes this a 10+ for me).. I left my computer bag in the room by accident and left all keys in the room. The owner was outside of the city and his cleaning team didn’t come in for 30 minutes (train leaving in 1 hour), his father couldn’t make it over in time. He directed me to where his car was (set the alarm off so I could find it easier) and opened it remotely so I could get the emergency key and we caught our train on time. Just a wonderful experience.

In general Germans are not known for being so accommodating. However! Das Koln will accommodate your stay in west German to whatever fits your needs. 1. Comfortable Accommodations: The hotel offered cozy and well-equipped rooms, ensuring a restful stay. 2. Central Location: Das Koln was centrally located, you could have enjoyed being close to iconic landmarks like the Cologne Cathedral, museums, or vibrant city life. 3. Friendly Service: Great hospitality from the hotel staff. 4. Modern Amenities: You may have appreciated the modern amenities like free Wi-Fi 5. Convenient Transportation: it was easy to access public transportation, that would have made exploring the city convenient and stress-free.

Firstly the lady (under training) and the young man who was in charge could not have been more welcoming and helpful. He showed us how everything in the apartment worked and gave us a lot of information and helpful tips on things to see and do and restaurants etc. Also provided his phone number in case of any issues. The apartment itself was large and very well equipped with everything you need and more. Location was fantastic and despite being right in the middle of the city was very quiet. Property was also very clean and nicely laid out.

Only small issue was that the tv with a fire stick didn’t seem to give us any English channels whatsoever but not a big issue as we only wanted to catch up on the news.

The apartment was really spacious and had a really well equipped kitchen. The bed was comfortable and there was lots of storage/wardrobe space. The location was really central - in the shopping area of the city but only a 10 minute walk to old town and the river and the apartment was really quiet. Our plane was delayed so we arrived at around midnight but Mazdak was on hand when we arrived to give us our keys etc. despite it being late and showed us round our apartment.

We didn't have much we didn't like, I think the only thing to be aware of is that there is no receptionist on the main desk (or wasnt during our stay) so if you have any questions during your stay you have to call a number (which put us off asking sometimes). Also, they weren't the quickest responding to messages via booking.com, so phone contact seems to be their preferred method of contact.

Great city centre location, secure building with spacious, modern and clean apartments. Perfect for our family of three with a well stocked kitchenette, ice cold AC and three options for pillows. Staff are only available certain hours in person but reachable by phone, which helped when we arrived earlier than expected.

Bed was firm and a bit lumpy, my back and neck hurt the entire time, but I suppose that’s somewhat typical for the region. Sofa bed was comfortable for our daughter.

I especially loved the fully stocked kitchenette with high-quality utensils – perfect for both short and long stays. After a long day of exploring, I could unwind in the cozy lounge with a glass of wine, which truly felt like a home away from home. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going out of their way to make sure my stay was comfortable. Their warm hospitality made such a difference, and I felt genuinely cared for throughout my visit. Other highlights include the quiet, relaxing atmosphere, despite being in the heart of the city, and the thoughtful amenities provided in the room, such as soft bedding, fast Wi-Fi, and even little details like coffee and tea supplies. I will definitely return for a longer stay during my next visit, this time with my kids, as this hotel perfectly balances convenience, comfort, and warmth. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Cologne – this place truly sets the standard for hospitality!

Lovely friendly welcome. Pleasant large airy modern room with fancy shower. Well equipped kitchen suitable for breakfast and light meals. Huge comfy bed and quality sheets. Loads of lighting options and variable curtain options for lots to minimal light as needed. Top ups of coffee, dishwater tablets on request. A very short walk from a massive Rewe and cafes and low key brown bar.

Being in the shopping district might not be everyone’s cup of tea but it suited us.

Excellent place: - Check in went well and Cosmina was very helpful and dedicated. - The place is well run, everything is spotless - Location is excellent, close to everything and very close to some nice supermarkets and places to eat - Internet is stable and works well - Coffee machine is pretty nice and better than the Nescafé ones that most hotels have - Kitchen works well and it’s possible to cook
