If you want to compare this to a chain hotel, then you're going to be disappointed. Individual hotels cannot compete on the economies of scale and access to equity. However, this hotel was great. Okay, the room was a bit small but the bed was extremely comfortable and - even though Carneval was raging in the city - the hotel is in a quiet road meaning that I slept like a very happy log. There was even a modern TV with Chromecast function. But frankly, the best part comes in the morning: I can honestly say that the breakfast is one of the best I've ever had in a hotel. Huge array of really tasty food and drinks with very helpful and attentive staff. Didn't need to eat for the rest of the day!
The toilet in 203 was leaky (Geberit really does seem to have brought an entire country to its knees with endless leaks...) so it made a bit of a noise every so often but that was easily solved by turning off the main tap overnight.

Very clean, very nice staff, great location (10 minutes walk to the Dom), very good price/value, great breakfast, parking available just crossing the street. The best 3 star hotel that I have stayed in so far, totally recommended!!
A very minor thing that is not even the hotel's fault: Google Maps doesn't recognise the street where the hotel and the parking is located, kept sending us to the parallel street. But the hotel was clever enough to put a sign in that wrong street, guiding us to the right place.

As Koln room rate is not cheap as a tourist city in general, pay US13 more and you can get a single room with private bath instead of dormitory bed of hostel. Really can’t complain for it. It’s quite worth for solo traveler. Room is a bit old in facilities but clean in basic, quite similar to student dorm (in terms of single room). Location is good just one metro stop to Dom. (Can even by foot for 15-20 minutes). Have supermarket within 5 minutes on foot.
All room amenities are basic. But price tell what you should expect. Elderly Staff (father) maybe a bit cool, but his sons (younger men were nice.

I had to book this hotel at short notice after my previous accommodation cancelled my stay at short notice. The hotel offered a good value at short notice, given that it came during Euro 2024. I didn't have the buffet breakfast, but it looked quite nice. The bed was very comfortable, and although there wasn't much room between the end of the bed and the wall in my room, the room had everything needed.
There was a property across the street from the hotel where construction work is being carried out at the moment. Obviously the hotel doesn't have control over this. The work started at about 7am the morning that I was there (a Friday). Maybe check with the hotel before booking if the loud construction noise is still going on, and if they work on the site at weekends. Because apart from the construction noise from across the street, everything else about the hotel was great.

We used the hotel as a stop over as we travelled home from our cycling holiday. We arrived late and left early without having breakfast. The guy on the reception was very friendly and helpful and let us leave our bikes in the main hallway. The stairway is not very inspiring however our room was clean, nicely furnished, a good size and comfortable. The hotel is a short walk from the cathedral and close to the station which was important to us.

The staff was very accommodating, we arrived at midnight and they had a key box outside the front entry with our key. The communication after hours was excellent. The room was very clean and comfortable, the perfect getaway after a day in the city centre. In the morning, the breakfast was ample and tasty (especially the Birch yoghurt), and the staff very friendly.
The street side could have been cleaner, but that's not the hotel's fault. Other than that, I can't think of anything I didn't like about the hotel itself.

The room was small but clean and comfy. They took care of our luggages for several hours after our checkout which was really nice and helpful. The location is very good…within walking distance of the center.
The only problem was that the main door opened to a street that was not accessible by taxi(or at least not reachable by Uber)So at the time of arrival and departure when we had our luggages it was a bit difficult to walk to the other side of the block. However, it was not that far away.

Centrally located, staff were wonderful, the bed felt like you were sleeping on clouds, the breakfast was divine and the endless coffee at breakfast was a great kick start to the morning. The shower / bathroom was small but the water pressure was next level.
The room was EXTREMELY hot. It very uncomfortable to sleep in the oppressive heat.

Last minute booking for someone else. The staff was very helpful, thanks to the delayed trains, it was not possible to make in the check in time. It was easy to find the hotel, very good location close to the train station. Good price for a last minute booking during the EURO 24 time. Everything was fine. I would stay again.
All good, no problem with anything.

Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was excellent! Also very good location.
No air conditioning. Had to keep the windows open at night which let the street noices in. Altough there was a fan in the room, which helped a bit. Outside day temperature was +30C at the time of stay.
