Our dinners at the Dali bar/restaurant were particularly enjoyable! Nice food/drinks, great service, pleasant mood and very nice live music. All the restaurants on side are great (we tried them over few visits) but the Dali quickly became our go-to for a relaxed evening. The spa is of course excellent, and we just love wandering around the hotel (treat yourself with a night visit of the library!).

We had some issues with the room (heating was off, then too strong) that took us several calls and/or visit to the counter to resolve. Nothing too bad, but a bit unfortunate to deal with that over a short weekend visit.

We stayed during the Christmas time. First of all, the preparations for this period were wonderful. The atmosphere was great. The staff was very polite and attentive. The spa and wellness area was not crowded. On Christmas, there was a special ball dinner for two nights, and it was really beautiful, with unlimited drink service

Initially, we made a mistake by choosing the grand lit room. The problem was that the room descriptions didn’t explain the details of what each room was like and the differences between them. Had we known, we would not have booked the room, as it was in the hotel's extention building, with a tiny window and a sloped roof at the top. The walk to the room was always long, and there was no direct elevator access. Also, we had to walk through the restaurant each time we went to our room, which was quite inconvenient. As for breakfast, if you opt for the buffet and cannot consume gluten or lactose, you’re essentially wasting your money, as the options for such dietary restrictions were very limited. We ended up canceling our breakfast for the next day.

We loved the hotel as it was beautiful and offered many services. Restaurants were nice, especially la Trattoria Enoteca. Room service with breakfast was good.

The classic cheese and charcuterie served during breakfast were disappointing. The restaurant Salvadore Dali Bar was underwhelming and didn't met expectations according to the price. My biggest issue was that the bouquet of flowers that I ordered many days before arrival wasn't delivered as scheduled. I even had to recall it to reception in order to offer it to my wife.

The location is excellent. Surrounding is also great. There are lovely woods around where you can walk with the dog. The staff is outstanding - very helpful, really supportive and kind. Very calm and peaceful feelings take you over.

The only thing that took two stars off from 10 is the food. Ok - I chose room service food as I was a bit tired and didn't feel like going to a proper restaurant to have nice meal. Anyway, I paid £160 for a meal and received McDonald 's-level food in the room. Are you OK????!!!!!! It was such a disaster for such a good place. Really shame on you. Room service isn't mean cheap dog food on arrival if you pay £160 for meal. I'm really sorry that someone thinks that room service food has to be such a rubbish.

Impressive building, great restaurants, great staff, great English speakers, comfortable beds, very quiet

The chicken in the salad at Salvador Dali had a very bad taste (simply boiled, maybe not even seasoned). But the meat seemed to be there for 3 days. The pool and the spa area are nice, but very small compared to the size of the whole chateau. Not proportional. Not much to do around unless the weather is nice. The jacuzzi was not hot / the next day was mentioned as out of order. The massage is overpriced.

Spa was nice, We like our suite - was quite big. Beds was extremly comfortable , also pilows and blankets, really like you sleep in castle, it gave you hot feeling. So generally we liked our room. Breakfast also wasnt bad.

I was missing in 5* hotel that i arrive with my car in front main entrance and nobody come to help me with ludgage or show where is reception. This should be in 5* hotels automatically. Sometimes long wait for elevators. Breakfast - not bad , i didnt like coffe, But Its probably everywhere same in Germany. But what we didnt like was staff. There were young students, who propably were trained , just out of school,well i can understand, But i was waiting for everything long time, i was always calling them and searching them and also if they came they wasnt much able to help. Easily say they were incapable. And for me like client of 5* hotel was a bit disturbing. It was quite far from Koln - 30 min by car.

Amazing hotel. The room was perfect, very spacious and comfortable bed (in special pillows). Hotel classic style is beautiful and views from the main façade to Cologne are breath-taking.

Unfortunately our experience at Salvador Dali's restaurant was not the best. Slow service and we had to repeat some orders couple of times because they forgot about them. Nevertheless, they assumed the bad service and did not charge for the wine (nice gesture).

I do not eat a traditional breakfast, but I had the staff prepare the coffee with my "special ingredients" and my fortified Orange juice" which they brought to my room each morning to help me to start my day, just as I do at home. We also had a meal at the Trattoria Enoteca, which was both, excellent food and service. The wine was Spectacular!! I spent a good deal of time in the lobby bar and the staff were so friendly and attentive. I also enjoyed .the piano music on the weekend with Frank

I wish that I could have stayed longer.!

the night shift receptionists florian bezbrra uoop helped us so much, he was so helpful and his hospitality was great and he helped us right away without hesitation, he and fabian thiemann were very kind and elegant, thanks a lot and if we came again to cologne, we would definitely come to this hotel , yes a lot will argue the price of the hotel and that's what we felt first, but when we saw how luxury the hotel is and how helpful the workers are, it is 100% a steal(i mean it is very worth it)

Beautiful hotel, has a wow factor when you drive through the gates, grand rooms, penhaligans products in the bathroom, lovely staff, good spa. Staff are really helpful when you have questions or need a taxi. I would recommend this hotel.

No complaints from me! I loved it and I’d return. If you’re not using public transport, it’s about Euro 35 to get to the centre of town by taxi (chocolate museum or Christmas markets) around 25 mins away. And if I had some feedback it’s that as this is a “schloss “, a palace, you would expect to see grand artwork but on our floor the walls were so bare. When you did see a painting, it was black splodges or fingerprints smudged across a white background. Not at all in keeping with the grandeur decor. A personal view only!
