The location is definitely a bonus for the Dom Christmas market - only steps away! The shopping street below did not bother us noise wise and all our rooms were right above the street. Pretty basic hotel but with very comfortable beds and pillows, very nice staff, simple but tasty breakfast - would stay here again.

As mentioned in other reviews, no mini fridge in the rooms. My brother in law needs to keep his insulin cold and when we asked at the front desk, the men happily showed him where the main refrigerater was located in the kitchen so problem solved. Not much to dislike at this hotel.

Fantastic location! Also great staff especially Mr Marouen Jeboli, who was exceptionally helpful. The lift was broken when we arrived, and my friend being very senior, and we checked in quite late, but he helped us to find a room at the first floor, also helped with all the suitcases. There is no tea making facility in our room, Mr Jeboli had provided us with a thermos of hot water. And he was very patient and helpful with informations on the restaurants shops taxi booking etc

air con is quite noising. Also, mattress on the beds are the worst we experience on our trip in Germany.

I'd give location a 10. It's very convenient. The guy at reception was very friendly and helpful. He was able to arrange a packed breakfast as I was leaving early.

The rooms are old and can use an upgrade.

Great location. Room was clean, quite small for what I paid, breakfast OK and the staff is very helpful. Bathroom very small with shower cage making difficult to move inside without touching the faucet that could change the water temperature and the toilet next to it and the wall very close.

The staff was wonderful. Warm friendly at all times. Helpful. Cheerful. Seems to be a family run business. The room is small by USA standards, but clean and plenty big enough for the time I spent in the room. Breakfast is simple, but a bargain. Everything was fresh. Dining area formal. Always someone there to add food or assist. Great location for shopping and touring all over Cologne. Very convenient to the train station. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Location was excellent. Easy walk with luggage to and from railroad station. There were 5 people and 5 beds with 2 rooms. Breakfast was good. Very quite for the central location. Air conditioned. Outside patio was enjoyable.

It is located in perfect spot, close to Kölner Dom, downtown, and the central station. The staff is were friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean.

The lift is small for families with more than two luggages.

Very close to the train station and Cathedral. Right on a pedestrian shopping street. Included breakfast while not extensive but good.

Noisy in the early morning due to some construction nearby.

+ Great location close to the main train station, cathedral, shopping area, public transportation. + All hotel staff very friendly, hospitable + They even found a small shower chair for us and set it up in the shower. Typical German breakfast. We thought it was good, no complaints.

It was a little difficult to find the address because the numbers were not in order; but there was a large sign on the side of the building "Hotel Calles". Being in the pedestrian area could be noisy for some, but it did not bother us.

location is everything when you are visiting a new place. The hotel was very close to the train station and several of the Christmas Markets, which made walking everywhere easy. The staff was very friendly and always had a smile.

I hate to say this, but it was loud. maybe ask for a room that isn’t facing the main street. The street it is on is connected to a massive shopping area with lots to do. However it wasn’t like it was loud all night. it usually quieted down around 23:00. and since nothing opens early you can sleep in.
