-Reception called us about the arriving time -Castle was easy to find, but watch out for the speed camera, free parking -We booked the Royal Suite nr. 7, first floor, it was overwhelming -Two bathrooms. a separate bedroom, a large and comfortable livingroom with a minibar/ Nespresso coffee machine, good beds, clean!

-The TV didn’t work -The couple of room nr. 8 were making love a little bit to loud

We loved the breakfast and the setting- especially the outside location bi the river. Special thanks to the fantastic lady, Mrs. Holst, who was the main person responsible for our group of 17. We had our own space in the evenings at the library and terrace. She was extremely thoughtful and tried to accommodate all our wishes. We will be back same time next year!

It would be great if you could add a few gluten free and dairy free breakfast options. Fresh omelets are always a great option- maybe worth considering?

Breakfast was varied and very tasty. We were offered a room upgrade free of charge and the wellbeing of our dogs was taken into account. We used the sauna at the end of the day and it was lovely. The area is also very beautiful and the village is worth visiting! We loved our stay there and the staff was welcoming and helpful regardless of the language barrier (i.e., we don't speak German). The rooms were spotless clean. Other reviewers complain about the building not being very modern or modernly furnished.. this is not a chain or a Best Western and it's in a small village so it's definitely unreasonable to expect new furniture every year! Would definitely stay here again!

Everything was perfect

Breakfast was really good, I can't imagine better. The room in the old castle very impressive. Location also fine - not far from the highway. Nice restaurant few steps from the hotel in the beautiful town.

No wifi in the room. Reception is quite lazy, we waited long time for somebody to come. Small things. Everything else was good.

We really enjoyed our stay at Neustadt-Glewe, and at this hotel in particular. The staff was kind, and while their restaurant was not serving dinner during our (one-night) stay, they gave us great recommendations for where to eat. It’s in a great location, very close to the museum in town (worth a visit)! It was also very cool to see the restoration/decorative work that was done for the hotel. The rooms were spacious, and we had a great nights sleep. Would recommend!

This is our second time at this hotel, and it is as great as the first time we stayed. This time we stayed in the annex building, and the room is as specious, clean, and quiet. Breakfast is great and plentiful. We had good and welcoming communication with Ole :) one of the staff at the hotel, very nice. Thank you :)

Good breakfast, nice location, good price for the accomodation of the whole family.

Recently the hotel started to charge 10 Euro for parking in front of the hotel, which makes this place less attractive. It is a pity that free parking is not included anymore.

The reception architecture, spacious bedrooms, comfy stay. Bathtub. Instant coffee at room. Kids had a good time. Overall good stay.

Breakfast was extremely basic. Hardly anything available for vegans. Could improve variety here.

We probably got the best room within the category "Junior Suite", the same room as advertised by pictures. Also, the room was located in the quiet are of the building, away from the street, and not exposed to direct sunlight, as the room was not equipped with AC. The room was nicely refurbished to original style with dark wood paneled walls and elegant, white ornaments in the roof. The beds were large and comfortable, in addition to a nice sitting group. The breakfast was good. The lift was appreciated as the stories were more than 4 meters high. The hotel did not offer dinner, but on the arrival day, we had dinner at the old castle near by, the early residence to the owners of the new one.

Nice old castle with interesting history. Very spacious and clean room. Comfortable bed. Complementary bottle of sparking water in the room is a nice touch. Great breakfas in the cool castle basement. We will defintiely stay here again next time we visit the area.
