Hotel is in excellent area of Altstadt, short walk to many restaurants and cafes and to the Schloß. Room was HUGE, with sofa and three chairs, and nice bed, with large clean modern bathroom and good shower. Windows open- this is a wonderful thing in any hotel. They prefer cash but will take cards, and it is quite expensive.

The cost of the room was way too high. But I was desperate for a room in the Altstadt so this was one of the few options still available. Maybe because there was a big Drachenboot festival going on, that the rooms were all filled everywhere and the prices dramatically increased? We did not eat at the hotel - the 26 euro breakfast could not have been that good. There are many cafes very near.

Amazing shower for a relaxing moment :) - Clean, beautiful old classic building, freshly renovated and super well-maintained! - The staff was friendly and we could leave our luggage in the hotel to walk around while our room was not ready. - Even though we didn't go, the restaurant is beautiful and causes a great impression

- It was very surprising that we booked a double room in a 4-star hotel, made clear that we were a couple and it was actually two single beds put together. No pillow-tops or connectors between them. It was very uncomfortable to sleep because one of us was always failing in the gap between the beds. - We create expectations based on the value for money, and so, we considered a lot of money (€200+ a night) for nothing SUPER special, like a wellness center or sauna. - Carpet in the room

Great location within old town (aldstadt) Good room size with comfortable beds. Coffee machine. Toiletries in bathroom - which was spacious & modern Parking underground (paid for on request €16 per night)

Rooms very hot as no air conditioning (had to ask for a fan) Breakfast is not cheap & presented with a tiered plate of meat, cheese & condiments - half got wasted as more gastronomical that we liked for breakfast. Bread served was very hard. However, there is a choice of other items - eggs, porridge, fruit Entrance to parking garage is narrow & tight for an SUV ( but spacious once in)

Central location but very quiet. We booked a double room and were given a bigger room with a balcony which added comfort. Complimentary coffee was really great.

The cleaning staff knocked at 9am every morning so we had to send them away because we weren't ready to leave for the day yet. On the last day, around the same time, they just entered the room without knocking - we were due to check out 2 hours later, we felt a bit intruded on. Staff at reception was sparse at times but we didn't need anything luckily.

The location. It’s the good and bad. If you visit this town for the castle, this is the perfect place to stay. Specially the room with the balcony is a gem to enjoy the view of the town. But if you have a car, the navigation cannot find the right direction to this hotel because there are a lot of one way traffic roads and narrow alleys. And the parking lot is in a very hidden place.

Perfect location: very easy to walk to Marktplatz, Dom and Schloss Schwerin. The restaurant downstairs has very fine food. We had a good dinner there.

1. No bottle of water for free in room. Don’t feel warmly welcomed. 2. breakfast 25 Euro per person didn’t reach our expectation.

The hotel is ideally situated in the centre of the old town so you would walk every where. The staff went above and beyond to help me when I needed their assistance. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We had a suite on the third floor with separate bedroom. The rooms were large and the bed was comfortable.

The furniture in the room was not very comfortable. We would have liked to have had a water kettle to make tea, but otherwise the room was nice. It was large and the very quiet at night.

It’s a beautiful boutique hotel with gorgeous rooms, good food and drink, and a great location.

I wish they had fitness facilities, but those seem very few and far between in Schwerin’s hotels anyhow.

Staff interactions were a bit strange. When I arrived, I was told they didn't have an available pet-friendly room. I told them I informed them via Booking that I was coming with a dog. They immediately gave me a room. Also on arrival, I reserved a table for dinner at their restaurant for the next evening. But then on day of, I asked to cancel the reservation. I was told I can't cancel it because it requires a 48 hour notice. I explained that I had reserved it the day before, and wasn't told about the cancellation policy. They immediately cancelled my reservation.
