We took the executive room with 2 kids. Check in was fast and simple. The room was spacious and clean, the bathroom really nice. The bed was comfortable, the sheets are basic. My kids loved the view to the train station. The room is silent and the minibar was free. Breakfast is good with good service and a lot of choices. We also used the pool and the sauna what was really great. The pool looks bigger on the pictures but for kids having fun is perfect. The wellness area is really clean with nice soft towels, huge saunas and a nice gym - all on the top floor with a great view. We also had dinner in the restaurant, to me it was a 5 star service with good quality food and friendly service. We did not experience anything negative, we can only recommend the hotel.

Excellent location for all tourism and travel in the city. Good lobby area. Friendly, helpful bartenders! Shout out to them for making our evenings nice. Gym was clean and in good condition; pool was nice and good temperature.

The elevators were frequently out of service. The wife in the room was very slow and inconsistent - had to go to the lobby to do any work. Also there were device limits on the Wi-Fi. The “hot tub” was cold! One major issue was that our messages to the hotel through booking.com were apparently not relayed to the hotel itself. So, while we had made requests through the app, they were all new to the front desk staff, who then had to scramble to see if they could meet our requests - even though I’d contacted them weeks ago. If you have special requests I’d recommend phoning the hotel directly.

very nice swimming pool, especially there is a kid's swimming pool which is not usually seen in a hotel, our kid had a lot of fun there! Also I am surprised that the hotel gave us a queen-sized bed room with a big enough sofa bed for our small kid. He could have his own bed and we didn't have to worry about him falling from the bed. He loved his own bed! There was also a kid's playroom on the ground floor, he had so much fun there that he didn't want to leave. Location: can't complain, just right next to the main station (Hauptbahnhof). A lot of fast food/bakery/at least two supermarkets I have seen. Air conditioner: works perfectly,suitable for the hot summer in Europe. ALSO, summer in Europe it is often very hot in daytime but cool at night/in the morning, I like that you can turn on the heater in the bathroom so that you wake up standing on the warm floor which feels super cozy.

Cold water in the pool. No bathrobes. When checking in I was informed that I had to pay a deposit of 60 euros for the stay, even though we had paid for the stay in advance. There was no information about this anywhere beforehand. It was not fair. The block on my credit card was still on for a week after I left the hotel. The hotel should make sure that such a block on the card is removed immediately after departure. Last day we left the hotel before breakfast and on the lobby was coffee machine. I told the lady at the reception that we would take our luggage to the car and come back for coffee. When we returned to the lobby we saw that the same receptionist was hiding the coffee machine. This was not customer friendly.

It's everything you'd expect from an international hotel chain like Novotel. Very comfortable stay, the hotel is well run, good parking (price was EUR 17 p.d. so in my view not outrageous - can't reserve however), friendly staff, good enough breakfast, close to the city center and a nice pool with three saunas on the top floor.

The location itself is not the prettiest, it's squeezed between the railway tracks and a busy street. Yet, it did not disturb me inside the hotel. Next to the hotel are also venues of all the other large hotel chains. The lobby and bar downstairs are rather boring in terms of styling. The sauna only heats up later during the day (or you have to request it to the staff, but that i wasn't aware of). Ah and lastly an issue i have often: the pillows: i found them much too soft and/or large

- Excellent location with excellent accessibility to the center and to public transport. - Good breakfest. - As an compensation for little incident I received free parking

- Higher noise level due to the location of the hotel. For light sleepers I recommend packing earplugs. - My fashion acessory disappeared from room. I consider incident as closed, as a compensation I got free parking. - I would appreciate a wine opener in the room.

As always, rooms, spa area and food are on very good level

For the first time, the experience was not really good with the stuff. A friend forgot his watch and I wanted to leave it at the reception but the employee was asking too many personal questions about the friend like a full name and the address... at the end, didn't want to take the watch as I didn't want to leave PII... Apparently the name was not sufficient... I'd really suggest organizing a training of GDPR as this was not in accordance to the EU regulations

The location was very close to the train station and easy to access old town. The rooms were a comfortable size, and staff were mostly friendly. The rooms and building are modern and clean, and everything felt comfortable.

Not a big issues but additional coffee in the rooms would be nice, and pillows are very thin. In fairness we've experienced thin pillows all across Germany, and it may be the normal there?

The hotel has all the necessary facilities, large rooms and a good breakfast. We liked the pool and sauna area. The location is central so it can be reached by public transport.

I have a bit ambiguous impression about the hotel, The negative points were: A few receptionists were nor helpful or friendly. The bed (mattress) was not comfy for us. Omlettes that you could order were tasteless (this is the mystery to me how an omlette can be spoiled this way). Please note that the parking has a height limit of 2.1 m.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were very pleasant. The breakfast was always good but it would have been good to have a Christmas menu on Christmas Day. A big shout out to the room attendant, the lady was amazing.

The bed was ok but seemed to have a lean on one side. Also aiming from Australia we are used to 1 quilt so hard to sleep with the two. A few Christmas activities for the kids on Christmas Day would have been good.
