Breakfast was fantastic, had it every day. The food was always good with fresh fruit with enough variety to be able to try something different. The room was comfortable with good AC and WiFi. The private parking lot was really nice because street parking in Athens is always a mess. The hotel is further away from the city center, but we got on fine with taxis and the metro. The door always had a security guard out front that was comforting.

Bathroom is older but everything worked perfectly fine, only issue is if you're over 6ft tall you will probably find the shower on the small side.

Walked in with low expectations based on reviews average, but got nicely surprised on my short business trip. Sure, nothing fancy here, but their renovated rooms do the job. Comfy bed, clean, nice functional bathroom. Breakfast was okay, can't expect 5* at a 3* budget, therefore it was alright. Fair price/value ratio.

Rooms are not very soundproof. I was lucky and had only occasional noise from the corridor, but this might be an issue for some, or when having loud neighbours. It's a very basic hotel, but surely a good budget choice for a short stay.

The room was bigger than expected with a balcony. I also liked the walk in shower and the cleanliness of both room and bathroom. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The staff answered all my questions and was able to have a late checkout for a fee.

The hotel is advertised as being in the Plakia neighbourhood and is actually well outside and is roughly 10 min walk from the metro but then the journey to Syntagma Square takes a good 20 min with a switch of line from Metro 2 to Metro 1.

I had a fantastic experience from beginning to end at this delightful hotel. Kato Patisia is a great location, I loved the bakeries and shops which were quality and much cheaper than the more central places. As a solo female traveller, I felt safe at all times, only 5 mins walk to metro and a 10 min ride to Monastraki. My superior room was beautifully furnished with comfy bed and pillows, spacious balcony and wet room. The staff were friendly and very helpful with directions, restaurant recommendations etc they even gave me a leaving gift. My room was thoroughly cleaned daily and sheets and towels always fresh. Xenophon definitely lives up to its 4 star rating and I would happily stay again.

The beds !!! I reserved a double bed room with a month before , and payed in advance ! I specialy send them a mesage to give us ( me and my wife) a double bed in the room , and they give us a twin bed ……… We united them , but the floor is slippery and always they become separate 5 cm , 10 cm . I realy do not recomand this hotel for couples , or be sure to have a DOUBLE BED in the room !!!!!! The answer from hotel was : depends of availability . Realy ????? A send you my bed preference A MONTH BEFORE arriveing . If it wasn’t payed before i would searced another hotel .

Rooms were fine. Shower head was not attached to wall and fixing was broken . Disappointing that no food or snack bar available on site . Buffet breakfast was available on site.

The room was nice. The breakfast was good. . Hot scrambled eggs and bacon. The staff was very kind and helpful.

Yipes only way in or out is a huge staircase. I arrived with a pulled muscle after an a hike gone wrong. All I didn’t need was any staircase. Apparently there is a lift if the staff person is there to help you with it. The staff is quick to help with suitcases up and down. The neighborhood was also a bit scruffy. I didn’t leave the building.

The staff were very helpful. It is clean. All the beds in a 4 bed room were comfortable. It's a good location for travelling into the center. There are great places to eat nearby. It was it was very good value for money.

The hotel is quiet.The location is convenient, not too far from the centre.Ask for a room facing the courtyard. However, we were looking for rooms for 7 people and very good rooms for 4 and 3 people were offered in this hotel. Clean, white bed linen, air conditioning in the rooms. Excellent breakfast, good selection. We recommend to travellers who appreciate comfort - optimal price - quality.

Location a few minutes walk from the metro. Room facilities. Friendly staff.

When I got to the room it was clean except for the toilet which was really dirty, you just had to take a brush to wash it, it was quite disgusting!!! Quite hard mattresses but that's just habit. Apart from the kettle in the room there was no coffee or tea.
