Loved everything about this hotel! The pool was amazing and cold/refreshing, just as the breakfast. Every day fresh baked eggs, pancakes, cold fruit; in one word perfect. The staff was so friendly and they helped you with every question. We also did a massage, this was also great and so relaxing. We loved the location and sissi is such a cute Greek village!

We would rate our stay definitely with a 10, however one thing to improve at this hotel: sunbed reservation. If you arrive at 08:00 at the Pools, ALL beds are covered with towels, while the first people show up around 09:30. Even noticed that a family only showed up at 14:00.. so 3 beds were unavailable the whole morning. Please Maritimo next summer do something about this and remove towels if people are not at the pool yet because this was very annoying and this is easily solved. :)

I traveled to Crete for the first time with my mom. We both enjoyed staying at Maritimo. The staff was friendly and helpful and spoke English. They offer you a to go box for your breakfast or dinner in case if you have an excursion and can't be there to eat. The room was spacious and clean. The cleaning staff cleaned it every day. They offer breakfast and dinner and we had both and each day we were happy with the food options. The drinks at dinner were not free, but since they only had bottled water it made sense. They also had some sort of entertainment almost every night. The pool had enough seats around it. The access to the beach is public and the hotel is like 2 min from the shore. We enjoyed swimming there in crystal clear water. The beach is not too perfect for laying around as there are rocks around but we swimmed and would go back to tan at the pool. That didn't surprise us though as the pictures on the website clearly depict it. The hotel is close to the central road in Sissi. We loved our stay at Maritimo

The beach access but it wasn't a dealbreaker for us. Also, the hotel photos clearly show you the beach so if you looked at them you should not have had any wrong expectations.

Food is not very good, breakfast was ok, we ended up having dinner at a wonderful close bye Tavern. apparently the hotel is a favorite spot for German tourists. This influences the atmosphere. Front desk is not available at some of the times

It was so convenient to the sea, shops and restaurants. The view was sensational and it was so quiet and peaceful. The staff were so friendly. Our room was spacious and exceptionally clean. I was given a surprise voucher to the spa by my family which was so lovely and the spa staff made it a truly wonderful experience. The free drink at the bar as a thank you for choosing the hotel was a nice touch and we both enjoyed a mojito. Plenty of parking space. Breakfast was delicious with a constant offer of coffee. A perfect start to the day.

The hotel is beautiful with lots of flowers, with easy access to the harbor where you can swim. The food is delicious (although sometimes not very suitable for kids). The staff is wonderful, eager to assist with any request. The bar by the main pool is great with lots of food and drinks. The room was clean, the towels changed every day.

The beds are not very comfortable, the shower head was broken, no curtain in the shower (the bathroom floor was full of water).

The access to the sea was not suitable for my husband who find negotiating rocky areas tricky. He just used the pool. The beach was near enough for me to nip down there for a swim from the swimming pool area. Pity though as hubby loves swimming in the sea but that was the only problem of the while week.

The facility mentioned it had a gym area when in reality it was just a room with yoga mats, also the air conditioning in the rooms were not strong enough to relieve us from the Greek heat of the summer

Very hard to get a sunbed by the pool as people covered beds in towels at 7am and no one else could get near them. Other sunbeds available on grass around hotel so were other options.

We loved the location of the Hotel. Its away from the main street, so a 5 minute or so walk to there and the main harbour. The staff are truly fabulous - they work so hard, are so friendly and helpful, and make you feel at home right away.

Personal preference, but the main pool area was a little too crowded for us. But, we also appreciate that comes as part of being a bigger hotel.
