I will try to be realistic , I work in hospitality and I know what and how much means a review for a serious business…beautiful resort, location, cleanliness, facilities, staff I would say 5 stars and I mean it, if you want a beautiful experience then this is what are you looking for ! But as everything in this world isn’t perfect…I called the resort to let them know we will be later than we expected , our flight been delayed and they been lovely arranging a airport transfer for us, we been expected even was late with a small cold buffet for dinner more than we expected; at check in the receptionist , a lovely , lovely lady Felicia had made the effort to speak with us in our native language, my wife doesn’t speak English and Mrs. Felicia has been amazing , we been informed we received a upgraded room instead of room, private pool, inland view etc. , a room with private pool sea view etc. , … we didn’t plan on spending much time in resort we wanted to visit the island to see as much was possible from, now the “ let down “ part , the room was gorgeous , clean , bright but it was a weird smell of cleaning products and not sure what else so on our stay we kept the windows and terrace door open for fresh air otherwise we wouldn’t be able to sleep there also sea view for us been actually street view and not much privacy ; on let down chapter we have got half board and if the breakfast was perfect on dinner I would say apart of cold buffet which was absolutely perfect almost everything what was hot ( stew, chicken, pork , etc)quite bland and taste less.

first of all i have to apologize everyone who is looking for a proper review of this Hotel, i will almost completely devouting this space to say that after few years of visiting various countries, places and hotels i cannot compare them to this place. The level of hospitality of every crew member me and my family had chance to met during our stay was outstanding. We were invited by Antonis who was our advisor during 6 day stay. From very beginning he was on mission to fulfill his customers needs and I can only tell that he was doing far more then great job. He was very helpful in a way that I did not met before. Restaurant and food served in it is completely ok. Every night has different cuisine every time its fresh and have a nice look. If you are wondering to chose between HB and dinner outside I can say that food in the restaurant is enough to.convince to stay in the hotel. Ofcourse If you want to try cretan cuisine it is better to try it outside but if you already did it before you will not regret. Rooms are very clean, rather spacious, and have good quality of equipment installed. Jacuzzi on the balcony is very nice, only thing that was annoying was circulation pump noise even when nobody was using jacuzzi but its probably required to keep water in it clean. The gym in the hotel has enough to offer to maintain muscles during stay. You have Trx, full bar, some barbells, wooden bricks, cage and steel frame for squats, dips, pull ups, ohp and other complex exercises.

The only thing that i would change is description of rooms on booking. Maybe in our case it was misunderstanding but our first room doesn't have advertised room space and sea view(only partially after you change your deep of field from electrical pole to send background)

The hotel is amazing, there are many cozy spots. There is a quiet pool for adults only and another upper pool for families, both are inviting, clean, well kept and plenty of sunbeds. There is a very nice bar in the upper pool with kind service and staff. There is another bar next to the restuarant of the hotel with comfortable sofas and a beautiful ocean view. The hotel is located in a perfect location. 20 min walk from Hersonises which makes the hotel peaceful with amazing views. There is a minimarket at the entrance of the hotel which was very useful as well as car rental agency with reasonable prices. The room was very comfortable, clean and nicely decrorated with a great shower with hot water 24/7 and fantastic stream. The hotel staff was amazing, always avaialble and kin to help with a big smile and endless kindness. Definitely one of the best hotels Ive ever been to, the expereince was perfect.

Nothing to dislike!

It’s so beautifully designed with stunning views of the island and the sea. You can see how much effort has gone into creating a sense of calm for the guests. The staff are warm, friendly and super helpful. The hotel is family friendly and all the outdoor pools are heated which rarely happens in Crete. The food is truly Mediterranean and thoughtfully made. The desserts were awesome and were like works of art. It felt like eating out when we had dinner there.

Nothing really. If I could have stayed 3 more days I world have! One suggestion would be to also give complimentary water left in all the room fridges on tables at lunch and dinner.

Beautiful hotel, not too big but very cosy and warm. The staff was amazing, always available for anything ! If you like to walk, Koutouloufari has an authentic charm and not far from the city center of Chersonnisos (20min walk). The quality of the buffet was there, especially during the evening. Would recommend to anyone !

The quality of the buffet for lunch was deceptive. Lack of choice between the plates, we understand that usually there are more choices during the evening buffet at those kinds of hotels, but not like 50% more... The wifi was very very bad too, downloading an 800mo video took around 3-4h, you can't expect this from a 5* hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Esperides Resort in Crete, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the hotel's beauty and hospitality. One of the highlights of my stay was the private pool in my room. It provided the perfect oasis to unwind and enjoy some tranquil moments. Additionally, the two public pools were equally impressive. The hotel clearly takes great pride in maintaining its pools as they were sparkling clean and surrounded by lush greenery, creating a truly serene atmosphere. The hotel's attention to cleanliness extended to the rooms as well. My accommodation was immaculate and well-maintained throughout my stay. The housekeeping staff did a remarkable job, and I appreciated returning to a tidy room every day. The hotel's aesthetics were simply enchanting, with beautifully lit pathways and picturesque views. It created a magical ambiance, especially during the evenings. Strolling through the hotel grounds felt like being in a dream, and I enjoyed every moment of it. The hotel staff deserves special praise for their warm and welcoming nature. They were always ready to assist with a smile and made me feel at home. Their local knowledge was valuable in guiding me to some hidden gems and lesser-known attractions in the area. The breakfast and lunch buffets were delightful culinary experiences. The wide array of dishes catered to various tastes and dietary preferences, and the quality was exceptional. I looked forward to starting my day with the delicious breakfast spread and enjoyed the variety offered during lunchtime. In conclusion, my time at Esperides was a true pleasure. The combination of a great private pool, well-maintained public pools, clean and comfortable rooms, enchanting surroundings, friendly staff, and delectable meals made my stay truly memorable.

While my stay at Esperides Resort was nearly flawless, I would be remiss not to mention the only minor drawback—the internet connection. Although it was functional, it could be improved to better serve guests who rely on a stable connection for work or staying in touch with loved ones.

Room was quite spacious overlooking the sea. Valet service is helpful. Front desk / customer managers are nice.

We booked half-board. The view from the restaurant is not bad. The food for breakfast and dinner has variety but the taste and quality is so-so. Many dishes are without necessary name tags. Some of the waiting staffs in the restaurant were not professional and forget things requested. The tap water (water by glass) tastes salty, and so is your tea using the hot water. The staffs are not happy when you do not order overly charged drinks outside the half-board coverage. Just to give you a reference: a bottle of still water costs €4 (May 2025); a white wine Sangria costs €7 but tastes watery. You cannot store your bottled water at the restaurant or take it back for the second night “due to tax reasons”; while you can store your wine bottle there. Strange rule.

Excellent staff. The property is very beautiful and extremely well maintained. The food is of a high standard too. One is made to feel very welcome. The bar at night is superb with far reaching views. The spa is worth mentioning - my partner and I had very good treatments/massages by the very professional and committed Christopher. First rate. Also the cleaners are very dedicated and nothing is overlooked. A very tight-run ship indeed - hard to fault. You can feel the quality of the equipment, building materials and design and the real commitment of the staff to their guests.

The quirky but beautiful design of the complex - and they have spent a fortune on it, the quality of the materials and its integration into nature and the site has to be commended - has one potential flaw: a slight lack of privacy and some of the views are ruined by the rooms overlooking each other rather than over the sea or the mountain. Our first room, lovely though it was, made us feel hemmed in and slightly claustrophobic despite being quite large! If privacy, seclusion and a feeling of space aren't essential to you then fine, you'll love this resort. We managed to eventually get a room facing outwards and not too hemmed in.

The room was very nice and the staff very helpful.

Maintenance/cleaning staff very noisy at 07:00 am, as they had a workshop adjoining our room. Still noisy after small complaint made with reception staff, could do with a better choice of early breakfast options, maybe a check list to complete, a small games room for i.e. pool table/darts for the poor weather days.

Food choices were excellent Very good service at the restaurant. We were allowed early check in. Overall we had a great stay at the hotel.

WiFi was not good. We stayed in the room 403. We made a complaint on the 1st day regarding shower control was broken. Lady at the reception said she will send someone in half an hour. But no one came😀. Hotel was little far from the beach and hotel charges you for shuttle service to the beach. But then we rent a car….
