Our room was lovely, very comfortable, quiet and spacious. The view wonderful. Having said that I would have been upset had it not been as I paid quite a lot to have those things! The room was very clean and serviced daily. The staff we met were all friendly and efficient. There was ample, easy parking. Services were available throughout the day. The hotel location was quiet and very attractive in the national park. There were easy walks to do straight from the hotel. The village was also within easy walking distance with good restaurants. Sadly we didn't have good weather so we didn't see as much of the area as we would have liked.

Only a coffee machine in the room. Being English we do love a kettle for a cup of tea! Also we don't like coffee machine coffee.

Our recent stay was highly enjoyable. The property boasts excellent amenities, including a tennis court and pool, all complemented by a breathtaking view. The location is ideal, and ample parking is readily available. The staff provided friendly and efficient service.

The on-site restaurant provided a satisfactory dinner experience. While the cuisine was not exceptional, there was a perception that some dishes may have been reheated, although this is uncertain. The restaurant offered a tranquil atmosphere with minimal patronage. The service was commendable, and enhancements to the culinary offerings could further elevate the dining experience.

The service was excellent from every staff member, with specific mention to Sylvia and the dining and bar staff, who were all exceptional. Special mention to the chef. Every meal was perfect, from start to finish. The hotel itself is pristine, with breathtaking views from very angle. The area around the hotel has an abundance of walking trails, and restaurants and shops are within short walking distance. Having been to Estoi just prior to arriving at Sagres, we would have to say Sagres is definitely the superior pousada!

If we were to have any critique it’s that the WiFi in our room was an issue, and it wasn’t unusual to see guests on their phones and laptops in the bar area where the WiFi was much better.

Very hard to find something negative in this Hotel. The rooms may require some small fixing details, but I find it normal since we are talking about an historic building. The higienic conditions of all the hotel are close to perfection. The rooms are very comfortable and the location and views are awesome. The bar, living room and dinning areas are very cozy and pleasant. Breakfast has a very high quality standard with a good variety of options. We didn't have dinner there, but I am sure it's up to the breakfast standard. Personel very kind and prestative at all times.

Nothing to be noted about.

We had two rooms, one facing the pool and the other one facing the parking lot. One could see the ocean from both rooms, but the one facing the pool had much better view. Be careful about that when you make a reservation; "ocean view" is not sufficient to get the best view. The restaurant is excellent, we had several dinners there and they were all very good. The breakfast, that was included with the room charges, was also good.

We did not get coffee pods for the Nespresso machine in our room after the initial 4 was gone. They supplied a bottle of water with a label attached to it stating that it costs 3 EUR - for a place like this that is out of style.

The Pousada de Sagres is beautifully situated on a cliff overlooking a beach that is just a short walk away. The ocean view room has a spacious balcony that looks over the sea and allows you to hear waves crashing on rocks all night. The staff, from the moment you arrive to the bartender and kitchen, are extremely welcoming and friendly. They made a hotel feel like home, but like with an incredible upgrade lol. As a same sex couple we found the experience to be very easy and unassuming, and so I am grateful for that as well. We loved it so much we booked an extra day!

A spectacular property on the edge of a cliff. It was beautifully appointed and had a lovely restaurant and bar. Breakfast was plentiful and staff were extremely accommodating. We had a large room with a view of the Fortress and the most southwesterly point of land. Room was well appointed and had a small balcony perfect for sipping a glass of wine. Staff were excellent. They could not do enough for us. Diego, one of the staff members helped us chart our entire stay in the Algarve pointing out places and restaurants we might not have considered. Nothing is too far away in this region so day trips are possible. There is also great hiking close by. We highly recommend.

There was nothing we did not like about the property.

The staff was amazing, beyond nice. In reception Diogo helped us with everything, the suitcases, any doubt we had, booked surf and boat activities, ... Everybody took great care of us, Silvia and her team at breatfast and dinner, Mamadú at the bar, the cleaning staff... Location is more than amazing,what a view! Close to the center of Sagres and all the restaurants. Breakfast and food in general was great.

The furniture was a bit old,but very clean anyway

The view was fantastic surrounded by sea! sunrise from our balcony was fab! It was very peaceful albeit off season . Great view our room had a decent balcony with table and chairs. Nice restaurant on the beach below, better than normal local restaurant, must be nice in summer with outside tables good menu right on the beach.

Nothing it was all good will return. Just thought the Massage room looked a bit disappointing!

The location is stunning and there is access to a wonderful clifftop walk when the wind permits

On Booking.com it said the Pousado was pet friendly. I sent them an email saying that we had two small dogs.Having made the booking and committed to pay we we were then told on arrival that only one dog was permitted. They allowed us to stay but the website should be clearer about their rules. We have stayed in other Pousadas where two dogs were permitted why doesnt Pestana have a consistent policy?
