I liked everything: the staff, the location, the view from my room, the food. All services provided in the hotel are of top level: reception, valet parking, restaurant, cleaning, bars, laundry, market places. People like Michelle at the reception, Dominic at the valet parking service, Clinton at the bar, but really all staff without exception, made my stay exceptional.

There is one thing: the elevators are obsolete and make a huge noise when operating. It was not a problem during the night because people do not take the elevator that late but during the day it is an issue. Such a wonderful place, so well organised, in front of a gorgeous beach, deserves the investment in modernising the elevators.

The Shores might not have the luxury feel of a newer resort, but the staff is absolute aces and the stay was an incredible value. We checked in during a slow week, and were grateful to get into our room around 1:30pm, rather than 4pm. The decor and fixtures in our deluxe king with balcony were a bit worn, but it was clean and spacious and the balcony with an ocean view was immediately calming. One note: after realizing the shower wouldn’t drain (gross), a building engineer fixed it within an hour of my noting the issue. I give credit to a strong team that rectified a concern immediately. The pool is divine, the tiki bar is a delight (with a nice happy hour!), and the location is fairly central to exploring Daytona Beach. It may not have been the hippest, fanciest accommodations, but it was a GREAT stay and I’d book again if in the area.

Aside from the shower issue and some worn furniture, we really have no complaints. And I want to reiterate the drain concern was fixed, and quickly.

As much as I love all of the staff, those VALETS ARE EXCEPTIONAL!!! I hope everyone sees how hard those guys work.(especially during event weeks, checking in and out times)

I hate there is no coffee downstairs before 630. I notice "earlybirds" like myself that would enjoy some coffee while waiting for sunrise. We hate to disturb our partners and spouses making coffee in room if they are sleeping in. We would be willing to buy. The Starbucks opens at 630 which usually includes a line. Sunrises are 7ish which at times makes it difficult to see...depending on where you are in line.

Our room was comfortable, clean, roomy. The pool was nice and the hot tub was a very good size . The fire pits were a great feature which was nice in the evenings.

A ramp leading down to the beach from the pool would have been great instead of just stairs. Not having a ramp complicated carrying a wagon down to the beach. Using the car access ramp next to the resort for our wagon was doable but meant pulling the wagon that much further through the soft sand.

Location was great. Staff was courteous and professional. You can sit at pool and feel like You're at the beach. Property was clean and well maintained. Felt safe and comfortable the entire time. It was great and would highly recommend. Also an onsite restaurant that was decent. Wife visited spa for a massage. Loved it!

Bathroom had issues. Bad design on shower that would flood the floor unless you put a towel on the threshold of the shower. Also, fancy bowl sink not big enough and splattered water everywhere. But the overall good out weighed these issues.

The location was amazing. The food was very good and more than expected along with the service. There was a lot to do and well spread out not a wild and crazy drunk fest or child infested place.

Sadly the hot tub was closed the whole day on Sunday due to shocking it. Maybe someone did something that it had to be done on a gorgeous Sunday but if not mid week or night time would have been a better time to clean it. Parking was also very expensive and self parking was too far for my husband to walk so I had to go back and forth.

This is our second time visiting this resort. The location is great. Due to tourist season being over, there weren't many people on the beach, which was fine with us. Would have liked to see more sun, but no one has control over the weather 😊

Think the room rates were on the high side. You also have to pay for self parking, which is ridiculous considering the room rates. Additionally, the room descriptive was misleading. Was under the impression we were reserving an ocean front room. When we presented to the hotel, they advised us it was an ocean front coastal view. Ended up paying an additional $150 for a real ocean front. Please be aware of this!

We had the corner terrace room with lots of windows & patio doors and found it very relaxing to go out on the patio whenever we wanted. It was safe, somewhat private, and the view!!!! Our breakfast room service was perfect in every way! The food was timely, hot, and presented precisely in very nice containers, so as to keep our food warm. Everything about this resort was clean & friendly! The beach was kept clean and it was nice to walk on each day.

The prices of the food in your restaurants seemed pricey, but everything was delicious.

We love the Shores Resort and have returned many times. We like the beach, pool, beds, fire pit, and the lobby. The restaurant is good too. Staff is always friendly! We loved the art sand class, wonderful and the petting zoo! Thank you for a wonderful Easter Weekend! We ill be back soon!

Maid did not refill the coffee in our room when she cleaned up. I called the front desk at 6 am on Easter morning and asked for someone to bring it up or I could pick it up. She said she would and we never received it.

Loved everything from the bar to the pool

When departing called front desk for luggage cart and never received one. We had to go get one. And also requested valet to have truck and we also had to wait 30 mins and then valet boy (Vinnie) finally arrived to retrieve truck and called us a lier that we never requested it. Then argued with us cause we asks if the Michelob ultra on the valet stand was his . This was the only bad experience during our stay
