We stayed in the new part of the hotel. Spacious rooms,, seating area with two chairs, big comfortable bed. Nice bathroom with good shower over the bath. Restaurant and bar very good with a reasonable choice of food and not too expensive. There is a leisure pool and facilities. Big car park. Friendly staff.. Situated in the middle of Chippenham.

Car park costs £7 per day. Rooms are not routinely serviced daily. Very disappointed by this as we stayed 4 nights. They did offer to service the room one extra night which was a minor concession. This is meant to be an hotel which should mean service. The top floor in the new part of the hotel has only one small dormer window. No refrigerator.

The hotel is located very centrally, but still calmly. Ik consists of several buildings with a nice open space between them. The rooms were modern and spacious, but a little dark (at least the ones we had, on the 2nd floor). We had an excellent dinner at the Orsa Vecchia across the street (not part of the hotel), and breakfast was spotless. The staff was very helpful in locking away our bicycles, and we enjoyed the pool after a long day's ride.

The only minor "hick-up" was that, after asking for adjacent/closeby rooms, we got rooms 303 and 304. Sounds close, right? Well... they are in separate parts of the building, and entering the "other" part required you to have a key-card of that part. So we couldn't knock on the other room's door, but had to resort to apping and calling.

Very nicely presented property. Large spacious room clean and beautiful bathroom. I would stay here again but possibly not in the height of summer.

The only drawback is that it was very warm in the room and although a fan was present, it was a very warm evening and therefore air con was needed. Our room was on the third floor and therefore naturally very warm. Breakfast served from 8:00 on a Saturday. We turned up for breakfast at 8:30 and most of the food trays were sparce and slow to be refilled. Had to ask for more o.juice and for some food to be replenished. Just didn’t think they had enough staff on duty as it wasn’t very busy.

Great location everywhere is walkable. Breakfast has a fantastic choice which is all buffet style. Staff are happy to help. The swimming pool was a lovely bonus which we did use. Lounge seating areas are cosy and everywhere is clean and tidy.

Our booking was for two double larger rooms if possible close together but were on the same floor but not near. Unfortunately we had to move rooms due to the main window/door would not close completely as its warped. Noise from outside as the room was at the front of the hotel. We were moved up another flight of stairs to a smaller room so now no where near the other room. Understandable no ones fault but the room was not a like for like so bit disappointed. Smaller room and smaller bed. Extra payment for the car park seemed a little excessive at £5 per day it's not like you'd leave your car somewhere else so not a choice really.

Location - excellent. Great room. Great bathroom and towels. Breakfast only "standard", but adequate. Scrambled eggs cooked to order. Evening meals good - seasonable vegetables sautéed in rapeseed oil were exceptional 10% discount as part of Best Western club

No proper soap in bathroom, only hand wash / body wash in plastic bottles. Not very eco-friendly A tear on one of the net curtains. Duvet cover VERY wrinkled - so much so as to be uncomfortable to sleep under. The replacement duvet cover had a hole in it. Evening meal desserts quite small for the price. Restaurant / dining room very noisy. Loud clientele. Having to pay £5 per night to park the car.

Lovely location and although within easy walking distance of all of the shops, train station etc. it was nice and quiet. Perfect base for visiting the Bath Christmas market and other attractions - very quick and easy to get to Bath by train and not have to worry about parking. Great breakfast served, comfortable bed and leisure factilities, although small, were clean and nice to use.

We were staying in the separate block where the pool and gym are...luckily it wasn't raining, but a covered walkway to get to reception and the dining room would be useful for when it's cold and wet...or umbrellas by the door?

swimming lessons in pool although instructor was great and quite nice to see children learning to swim. quite noisy though (think lessons were post school day). mini fridge would have been good. I like to have fresh milk only 4 pots of uht! minimal supply of tea/coffee as usual for chain hotel pet hate is dry bacon! obviously cooked to far in advance. breakfast commences at 7am. I attended at 7.10 bacon dried out. bit picky I know but expected to be moist as down early restaurant area is a bit tired rooms could do with a spruce up and a bit of detailed cleaning apologies for last comment but, have (many years past) been engaged as a hotel housekeeper

Excellent evening meal in the restaurant (roast meal as it was a Sunday). The hotel had good outdoor seating areas in the courtyard and an indoor swimming pool although we were not there long enough to enjoy these facilities. Generally a good standard of decor.

Room was a mobility double room as that was all that was available. The shower in the wet room did not go down to floor level- there was a gap of 18 inches. This meant that a large area of the bathroom floor got wet when having a shower. The basin was the smallest of hand wash basins suitable for a disabled wc/cloakroom. It was not large enough for face washing and it was difficult to fit the jug kettle under the tap. The adjustable stay to the bedroom window was broken.

We had a large room for a family stay. The room was clean and we were provided with a fan as the weather was very hot at the time our our trip. This was very welcome! Good location in town centre. We did not eat at the hotel at all as we were visiting family locally who couldnt provide beds at the time so we ate with family. My husband and son enjoyed the pool area.

Some of the plug sockets didnt seem to work. We found ones that did.
